Xiliax Silien
I really like playing as Xiliax, just because I think she's a cool character. Once again, her name is from a mess of Google translations I don't remember the English variants of. Something with 'demonic' and 'justice', probably.
Xiliax is actually pronounced 'zih-lEE-ahs', haha. Strange, I know, but frankly, I think it sounds nicer than 'zih-lI-axe'.
As for Silen, I take that from her angelic counterpart's name, who'll probably never get any screen time. His name is Silen Xiliax, so for surnames, they just took the other's first name.
Together, they're like yin-yang. Xiliax and Silen both work as judges for a thing I like to call the Court of the Dead. Basically, they look upon someone's life and decide if that person goes to heaven or hell.
If any of you are curious about Silen, just think of him as an exact opposite to Xiliax, haha.
Anyways-
Xiliax has pale skin, which I like to attribute to the fact that she's lived in Hell her whole life. Most of my characters have skin on the paler side of the spectrum, mainly because I have pale-ish skin myself. I'm trying to add a broader range of skin color and whatnot but for some reason, I have trouble finding a good design for people with darker skin colors hhhhh
She has short, raven-black hair, which I mainly added because frankly, I think it helps add to her this-isn't-a-person-you-want-to-mess-with vibe, haha, especially paired with the long scar that runs diagonally across her face. If she uses her judgment power too much, souls leak out of it and eventually, she'll vanish Jedi-style and leave only her cloak and a pentagram necklace behind. I originally put this in mainly because I want to eventually draw it, haha. Xiliax has mismatched eyes, her right one being a normal, ice-blue human eye, and her left one having a black sclera and a narrowed, fire-red iris. Not only do these show the two types of Hell commonly portrayed in religions, a fiery doom, and an icy wasteland, but they look quite cool and are a pain to draw, like every other eye in existence.
Her clothes were honestly just from my random doodling and whatnot and came from a pure design perspective.
She still has a cloak for flowy-ness and clompy boots, though.
As with Xiliax's personality, I like to have her be serious, yet easily flustered or annoyed. It's also rather easy for a certain demon *cough* Angel *cough* to sneak up on her, which is mainly for jokes.
She's pretty just and reasonable for a demon, but that's because she's a judge.
Xiliax also has a love for animals- more on that in the next section!
Xiliax has two powers, three if you count her demonic immortality, haha.
Her first power's known as Demonic Judgement. When she looks at someone, she sees all the sins they've committed and punishes them for said sins. Depending on the punishment, her scar could start to open up and release souls. Using the power too much or on too large of a scale could cause her to Jedi-style vanish.
Her second power is nicknamed Spirit Animals. Basically, she uses a piece of her own soul to create an animal that's quite obviously demonic, such as my personal favorite, Tihitis, the crow of shadows. This causes excruciating pain, so she doesn't do it often. She can summon and dispel these animals at will, merge with them and thus gain characteristics (and sometimes powers), linked with these animals, and see through an animal's eyes/hear what an animal hears. Since these animals are actually fragments of her soul, Xiliax gets discomfort, and sometimes pain, when someone randomly touches one of the animals.
Her backstory's pretty fun, but I'm going to leave it out because I don't remember my thought process behind creating it.
Now for some trivia!
Xiliax herself is a punishment. Some of the worst souls are trapped in the dark, cold confines of her body, forever isolated and undeserving of even hell itself.
I like to think that Xiliax is hilariously good at Mario Kart.
Extra since I forgot to do this when I originally wrote it:
Have the original drawing I made of Xiliax!
