Turmoil of thoughts

April.

His shirt didn't look bad on me. Instead, I looked way better in it than I ever do in my own clothes. Damn it. I folded the said shirt up to my elbows.

"Ready to go." I smiled to myself in the mirror. My hair was a bit wet and I had no make up on not even a lip gloss.

"Hey." Christian greeted me as soon as I stepped out because I assumed he was waiting for me this whole time outside the door of the bathroom. Desperate pervert.

"He-" he hugged me, cutting me off.

His hands snaked around my waist as he pulled me closer.

"Damn, you smell like heaven." He whispered.

I felt my skin squirming under his touch and it would have been great if I had some control over it.

I didn't though.

"Chris." I exhaled as he kissed between my neck and shoulder. I guess exploring my weak points was all he wanted to do.

"I don't think I can control myself, Hazel." His kisses had come to my cheek.

"We have school." I pushed him.

"Learn some self control sweetie." I trailed my fingers across his lips.

"You're not helping it babe." I felt my cheeks flushing and I quickly walked away.

Why would he suddenly call me babe? I couldn't stop blushing. My cheeks were matching the shirt I was wearing. Just great.

"April!!!" Leah hugged me leaving no space between us. "God! Are you okay?!" She hugged me tighter.

"I was fine a moment before, but I can't breathe anymore." I mumbled.

She let go me and we giggled. I couldn't stop grinning as I saw her all happy and smiling instead of how she sounded on the phone or in the texts.

However the moment her eyes landed on Christian who was following from behind her face fell.

"Leah? Remember what we'd discussed last night? Trust him because you trust me. Please." I pleaded, pulling her hands to me.

"I'll try." She grunted. Well, that's better than a no.

"Hey Leah." Christian casually said without looking away from his phone.

Leah shot him a death glare before she marched off.

"Chris." I called. "Christian!"

"Yeah?" He answered, still looking at his damn phone.

"Look at me!" I grabbed his phone and yanked it out if his hands.

"Hey!" He grabbed it back in a second. "Hazel this is important."

I wanted to throw that phone away, but the look in his eyes and the tone of his voice made me shut up.

I was about to grab his arm instead when his phone started to scream.

"What's this all about?" He spoke quickly, his breathing rising. I didn't like the feeling which was forming knots in my stomach. What? What is it now?

"What do you mean he's onto us?" He clearly hissed into his phone. Anger spilled out of his voice.

Suddenly he looked at me. "Hazel, get inside the school. I'll catch up later."

I stopped him. I didn't know what came over me. I clutched his jacket tightly. I couldn't let go. I found my hands shaking.  It seemed like I was afraid of going inside without him.  Such a coward you are my mind poked at me from inside.

"Hazel?" He looked down at my hands. "Let go. We can't be seen together right now! Please!" He tried to remove my hands from his jacket.

Obviously I wasn't strong enough to beat him. He pushed my hands back and before I could say anything to him, he was gone.

I tucked back a hair strand behind my ear and turned around. Just then a strong wind rushed up from behind making my hair a mess and stomach twist with a weird feeling.

"April?"

"April!?" My eyes snapped in front of me where Leah was sitting.

"Yes?" I pushed the words out. We were having lunch in the cafeteria.

"I asked, whose shirt is that?" She pointed at Christian's shirt which I was wearing.

"Oh, this is his." I tried not to smile like an idiot.

"You are wearing his shirt?" Leah made the worst possible face, she could at the moment. "Great."

I still hadn't told her about last night's blood bath. It would just make her hate Christian more. No matter what I told her she always made it like it was somehow his fault.

I didn't see Lara anywhere in school today, which was obvious. Actually, I was not ready to see her again after last night.

I looked down at my lunch which was just a sandwich and orange juice. I blinked and suddenly orange juice turned red and sandwich looked like someone's guts cut out.

I felt disgusted. Everything that happened last night flashed in front of my eyes and I threw up.

Christian.

The situation looked bad. Since Ryan had told me about my father being on our trail my heart wasn't beating at a normal speed. What the hell? I was making sure he couldn't find out about me keeping Hazel with me and still I supposed he had found out.

"Is his men at school?" I asked Ryan as soon as he picked up. I was standing right in front of the school gates.

"We haven't spotted anyone yet, sir." His calm voice came from the other side.

"Tell everyone to be on high alert. I don't want anything to happen. You sense anything or spot anyone, you first report it to me. Got it?" I cut the phone after hearing a curt yes sir.

Even though I could see a possibility of Lara Anderson giving the information of Hazel being Jonathan's daughter to my father it was hard for him to believe her.

The thoughts started to form a turmoil in my head. If my father already have found out about her then it was too late. What would he do? I knew my father enough to know how his evil mind worked.

He definitely just had a doubt because if that wasn't the case and he had found out everything about her he would have kidnapped her by now.

I kept roaming around the school thinking of what exactly my father would plan to do.

When I was still in my thoughts I spotted Hazel in the cafeteria. The lunch break was over half an hour ago but she was still and She didn't look good. My legs moved on their own until I was close to her.

"What's wrong?" I asked, keeping my hand on her back.

"Nothing. I just don't feel good." She looked pale.

"She threw up while we were having lunch. What did you make her eat at your place?" Leah said, her eyes accusingly darted all over me.

"Leah." Hazel gave her a look.

"I know you hate me. But I don't plan on doing anything harmful to Hazel. Can you get that through your thick head?" I had enough of Leah. I knew why she was acting this way now, but I didn't do what she thought I did. I hoped her to have a more open mind. Guess she didn't.

"You don't have to do anything particular to hurt her. Your presence is enough." Leah spat out in anger.

"Leah, please. What are you even saying?" Hazel interrupted. "Stop acting like this. He has saved my life more than once. You know that."

"But don't you think if he didn't exist your life would have never been endangered in the first place?" Leah didn't plan to back down.

"Lee!" Hazel got up quickly and stumbled. I stilled her placing my hands on her shoulders.

"You're not okay." I muttered.

"I'm fine." She turned back, placing her hand on mine.

She looked tired but her eyes looked worried. No matter how much she tried to hide her feelings, her eyes always give away everything running in her mind. She has been acting strange since this morning when she tried to stop me.

"Well, if you feel so secure with him I guess you don't need me now." Leah got up from her sit and slung her back around her shoulder.

"Leah I-" Hazel started, but Leah had left before she could say anything. Talk about being rude.

Hazel sat down again and I took a seat beside her. She was biting her lips while they quivered. She sure loved that blondie.

"Hazel " I looped my hand around hers. "You okay?"

She nodded and after a second her weight shifted towards me. I could smell her shampoo as her head rested on my shoulder.

"I'm so tired of fighting with her. Why can't she just trust me?" Her voice was shaking.

I was about to put my hand on her head when my phone rang.

"Yes?" I quickly said.

Hazel straightened up, looking strangely at me.

"You have to get out of there now, sir!" Ryan breathed heavily as he spoke.

"What's going on?" I tried to stable my voice and prepared my mind for whatever was coming.

"Boss is there. He is there right inside the school!"
