Undoubtedly

Christian.

"I think your dad is right this time." Ryan tapped his hand on my shoulder from behind.

"So what?" I didn't look back. I was busy reloading my gun.

"So? You can't go there. It's dangerous." Ryan added.

"Don't you trust me?" I turned, sparing him a glance after shoving my gun in the back pocket of my jeans.

"Of course I do, but sir, you just got discharged yesterday. The wound on your shoulder is not fully healed yet, and you are insisting on going alone. I can't let you." He finished and marched towards my car, spreading his hands to both sides to stop me from going inside.

I understood his tension. Ryan and the rest of them were in panic mode since I told them I was going to visit Hazel at the Grey's residence on the outskirts.

"Ryan, relax. I have done it before. Did you forget? They were a hundred, and I was alone." I smirked at him, and he sighed.

"How can I ever forget that? That's how you created one more legend as the unkillable. But that was different. You were not injured then, and we were outside with you on standby." He retorted.

"Did you need to take any action, though? I handled it on my own, right? That's what I'll be doing today." I put both hands on his shoulder. "Trust me."

"I'm going to call Julian and Sam. We will be far from that building, but we are going to be there." He declared, shrugging my hands away, and grumpily went inside the house.

I smiled at his retreating figure. What am I going to do with these idiots?

Sighing I slid into the driver's seat. It was time. At last, I was going to see her again. It's been too long.

My heartbeat sped as I navigated swiftly through the congested streets of Old Lyme.

I went through the huge front gate, which was opened by the guards. Oddly, they didn't question me about my identity, which was weird. Did all of them know I was coming?

I glanced at the humongous building. Why was it so tall? Why did the Greys need so many floors? Did they want to fit all of their family here?

"Who are you?" The man, who was dressed in a tight gray suit, asked, pointing his armgun at me.

"I'm Christian, here to visit Haz-" I paused. "April Grey."

It was weird to say her real name now that I've been calling her Hazel for so long.

"Wait." He clicked his earpiece. "Miss Grey, Christian is here to see you. Shall I let him in?"

Was he talking to Hazel? The sheer luck of this man made me jealous. He must have been taking orders from her and hearing her voice every day.

He nodded and glanced at his partner, who had been glaring at me the whole time for no reason. Well, maybe because I was their enemy.

I stepped inside, and the smell of gunfire and smoke hit me. There were several people on the ground floor. Their actions came to a halt when they noticed me.

"Let me guide you." A girl who was most likely a maid gestured for me to enter the elevator. I followed her, ignoring everyone else.

We stopped at the third floor, and the girl guided me to the farthest room on this floor. My heart was fluttering with her thoughts. Any minute now, I will see her. I breathed deeply as the maid twisted the doorknob.

"Welcome!"

I narrowed my eyes at her. Who was she again?

"Who are you?" I voiced my thoughts.

"I can tell by the tone of your voice that," she said, stepping closer to me. "You are disappointed."

Her greasy hair touched my chin, and I took a step back. "Where is April?"

"Oh right. She is the one you are here for ." Her voice suddenly lowered. Something in her large gray eyes disturbed me.

She turned around, striding to the huge open window, and turned to look at me again. "I don't believe how stupid you are."

What?

"But again, I understand you. I know how it feels to be in love." She spoke as if she was talking to herself. What was wrong with this girl? Why was she again wasting my time?

"Would you please stop wasting my time and call April?" I tried not to shout, but my patience was running out.

She stilled her eyes on me for a second and burst out laughing. Okay, she was definitely high on something.

"Oh, sweetie, don't you get it yet?" She pursed her lips. "You walked into a trap we had laid. You are not getting out of here."

What was she talking about?

I heard the door behind me clicking, and a few people dressed in gray walked in. Each one of their guns was pointing at me.

Did these Greys really thought they could capture me?

"Your precious April, or Hazel, as you call her, has helped us trap you. You are all ours now, bad boy." This girl was crazy.

"Do you really think I would believe that? She'll never do that." I stated. "Now stop wasting my time; otherwise, I will kill everyone in this building, including you." I stepped towards the crazy girl, and her bodyguards came closer to me.

"You don't believe me? Fine." She glanced to her right, to another door attached to this room. "Maybe you will believe her. She's been standing behind that door listening to our conversation this whole time."

I followed her gaze to look at the door just as it opened and she walked in.

My breathing automatically paused; she was really here. I was not dreaming, right? It'd been so long that my mind was taking its time to accept that this was not a dream. She was in front of me.

I wanted to lunge at her, scoop her up in my arms, and shower her body with kisses. I took a step forward, forgetting everything else. Nothing else mattered anymore.

"Gracie. Leave us alone. I need to talk to him." Hazel instructed, but her eyes were fixated on Gracie, apparently.

Her eyes were avoiding me on purpose.

It was as if someone was drilling holes in my heart. My head started to spin, but I managed to stand straight. Hazel, she..

She undoubtedly hated me.
