Feathers Falling

Caught here in between

the elemental moments

where my falling feathers

watch the water ripples

reaching up now

to catch them

and all the mystery

in the music of the heavens

drifts into my inner ear

unaware of the lyrics

Can I pause the scene

and claim one day to just exist

To prolong that good night

and it's ever widening chasm?

In these evergreen arms

I wrap the intentions

of all my fleeting years

and as the flight continues

I wonder about missed opportunities

as I watch these feathers falling
