salmon running

bumbling, bubbling, fish- head bobbing,

slippery scalies up for swimming.

up, up, gurlgling gleaming,

gushing waters up for running.

swim, swim, swim up river,

must swim back to spawning waters.

jump, jump, jump up high,

jump these rapids i must try!

but, yikes, i no see,

flapping eagle eyeing me!

egad! no! talons! claws!

flapping eagle, let me go!

writhe and wriggle, must break free

i'm not dinner, can't you see?

slap, swing, swish my tail,

i'll be bird food if i fail!

wham! whack! whipped it's face!

flappy eagle, put in place.

swoosh, splash! that was fun!
