Nixie Argon was Almas best friend since the Ymbreed academy . Now nixie was no Ymbreed, No she was a very special type of Peculiar a snakeshifter she was much like medusa but she did not turn people to stone by look or touch it was  by the touch of her powers

she had amazing control of her powers every since she was five. The day Alma and Nixie found their place to build a loop it was raining heavily but they didn't mind the sound of rain was quite lovely "Nixie?" alma looked at her from the door way of the front door "Hm? what is it alma?" Nixie looked up at her fixing her half-figure eight glasses{ like Elphaba's from wicked} then looked at the small figure looked about ten maybe eleven? standing absolutely soaked to the bone "Is that a child? oh hang on ill go get a towel" Nixie got up walking down the hall grabbing two towels out of the closet then walking back. kneeling next the child wrapping her in the towel gently then Alma spoke " What's your name sweetheart?" "Enoch. Ma'am Enoch O'Connor" The young boy mumbled. Nixie and alma looked at each other clearly not expecting the boy to be so respectful " I'm Nixie this is Alma you can call us Miss Argon and  Miss peregrine" Nixie responded the boy nodded hugging her leg tightly causing alma to giggle at the sight of Nixie caring about a young boy and alma herself " So i guess we have a small child now" Alma said smiling at Nixie as she picked him up taking him upstairs to pick his room. Alma stayed in the living room looking at nixies notebook full of drawings notes of hollowgast and Alma herself. 

         ~Meanwhile upstairs~ 

Nixie had shown Enoch all the rooms to pick from and he picked the attic which Nixie thought was rather interesting so she allowed it so they set up his room. As they did they talked about his peculiar abelites figuring out he could bring dead things back to life so they got him everything he need jars and jars of organs and let him play with any dead things he found to an existent of course there where rules No dead humans or peculiars no  hollowgast either but animals where fine like cats or foxes or something similar 

And that is how Enoch O'Connor ended up in the care of the bird and the snake
