Chapter 9: There's A New Boss In Town
Caren had decided to exact her revenge by becoming President of the HOA. She knew she could make Penny miserable that way. She was successful at the board meeting. Caren headed to Penny's house and saw the trash cans were still on the curb.
"Perfect." She walked up to her door and knocked aggressively.
Penny answered and sighed, seeing Caren, "what do you want, Caren?" Penny asked, not entirely happy about Caren's shit grin.
"Your trash cans are still on the curb," Caren replied with a hiss.
"Okay and? What are you, the trash can police?" Penny questioned her.
"No, but I am the new President of the HOA, and according to the rules, it is Saturday, and trash was picked up Thursday. You are in violation, and I can cite you for it; if you get three citations, you are evicted." Caren responded deviously.
"Seriously? Fine, I will bring the trash cans in." Penny rolled her eyes but pulled her trash cans back into her garage. "Are you happy?"
"No, consider this a warning, next time, it's an immediate citation." Caren smirked, "now, is Stacey here? She's also violating a new policy."
"She is; I'll get her." Penny went back inside and was about to cry angry when Stacey looked up at her, worried.
"What's wrong, Penny?" Stacey asked her gently.
"Caren is here; she's the new President of the HOA. She almost just cited me for the trash cans, and she wants to talk to you because you are also in some sort of violation of a new policy." Penny exclaimed to her and started crying.
"Alright, calm down; I'll go talk to her." Stacey went outside, pissed as fuck. The only one who got to make Penny cry was her.
"Great, so Stacey, we are banning drugs in the neighborhood. This includes marijuana, so if you're going to smoke it, either do it somewhere else or move out. If it's caught, you'll get cited, and three citations and you are out!" Caren said excitedly.
"How many citations do I get for assault?" Stacey asked casually.
"Um, none, that's a police matter. But I wouldn't recommend assaulting someone." Caren said, confused.
"Great, well, you better call the police because I'm gonna whoop your fucking ass." Stacey proceeded to beat the shit out of Caren in front of the whole neighborhood, who had come out to watch the commotion.
Caren screamed for help; thankfully, she was married to a cop. "Hey! Break it up!" Gretchen ran over and pulled Stacey off Caren. "Dude, what the fuck do you think you are doing?" Gretchen asked Stacey.
"She tried to cite my wife for the fucking trash cans of all things and made her cry! That's my job for one, and two, she's trying to ban weed in the neighborhood! Like fuck Gretchen, you use weed, better get a goddamn divorce!" Stacey stormed into her house and slammed the door.
"Are you gonna let her get away with that?" Caren shouted at her wife.
"Yes, because you are trying to ban weed, and I don't support that," Gretchen replied, looking pissed off as well.
"Fine, I'll drop the weed thing at the next board meeting, but I was right about the trash cans," Caren said, annoyed.
"Maybe so, but you can't act like an asshole. Go inside and leave people alone and behave yourself, please!" Gretchen shouted at her, irritated.
"Fine!" Caren marched her ass inside, and Gretchen went into Stacey and Penny's house to have a quick chat.
"I'm sorry guys, Caren's a bitch sometimes. She can be sweet when you really get to know her, but you know I'm sorry. I'll talk to her and convince her to leave you alone if I can; otherwise, ignore her and let me know." Gretchen told them, and the two sighed.
"Fine, thanks, Gretchen Stacey replied as she hugged Penny tightly, who was still crying.
Gretchen left and then called Asha since she didn't want to go deal with her wife yet.
"Hello?" Asha answered sweetly.
"Want to hang out? We could go to the arcade at the mall?" Gretchen asked, and Asha beamed.
"Heck yeah, Aubrey's being ghosty today." Asha chuckled.
"Great, I'll pick you up; Caren's being a bitch ass punk today." Gretchen laughed, hung up, and headed to get Asha.
