They walked off the train where the mayor greeted them "welcome to New Thunder Mesa" "thank you very much ma'am my name is Elina Ravenswood my father invited me here" "Ravenswood you say?" the mayor asked everyone gathered around whispering "she looks like her" said one woman "hes gonna be furious now" said a man "come with me Elina ill show you where youll be staying" said the mayor who led Elina to the Rusty Horseshoe Hotel "i want to ask you about the 1860 earthquake if i may" said Elina before she went into the Hotel "that was a bad year for Thunder Mesa my great great great grand-father died in the earthquake his son my great great grandfather found him among the wreckage his head was cut clean off by a beam with a sharp edge" she said then Elina walked into the hotel getting a room right aways. John came shortly later to Elina's room "Elina i want to show you Boot Hill if its ok?" he asked her "ok im coming" she left the room locking it and followed John to Boot Hill.

The cemetary was quaint and lovely only it was shadowed by the Manor. Elina looked back at the house to see a shadowy figure staring down at them "thats not good The Phantom knows your here Elina he will try at nothing to stop you from helping Melanie your father didnt listen to me and now his spirit is trapped in the manor as well due to the curse, his body was buried" John said looking at the window, a chill went down Elina's spine after the curtain fell back into place.

Elina was investigating alot of things and she got a view of the Ravenswood Manor from the window. She was reading a book when there was a green glow coming from the manor then a green ball of light flew towards the town landing in the dirt like a meteor. Elina ran outside where the fireball hit all the townsfolk gathered around the small crater which the mayor reached in it and pulled out a note "its from the Phantom" she simply said after the green glow vanished. She opened it and read it aloud

Dear Citizens of Thunder Mesa

I see you wish to invoke my wrath even further. Now you bring a girl who looks like the cursed bride inside my domain.. I am now speaking to the girl. Tomarrow morning i invite you to the manor for a little tour be warned that you wont ever leave and please i insist you bring the ghost hunter with you dont want you dying from fright alone
