35- Big heart

Swara's hand was aching but she didn't stop writing. This was the longest she had written in one go. But she couldn't stop until Naman was here.

Unlike the previous time, Swara couldn't just end his entry in one sentence. Not only was his character arc bigger, but she also had to make sure that there were no loose ends. From his background to his current situation, she had to make sure she had penned down everything correctly.

"Who the fuck hangs out at a library in the middle of the night? And why the fuck I have to ruin my sleep to pick this pest?" Naman's voice echoed in the library, making everyone drop what they were doing.

"Mann, you irritating loser, come out. Your mother is losing sleep worrying about her precious son," Naman called out in irritation. That little pest was going to get hit one day.

Before he could yell again, a body crashed into him with full force.

"Don't you dare to disappear on me ever again," Swara said, crushing him into a tight hug.

She had already lost her parents and she was about to lose Vriha. There was no way she could handle losing her lov-

Swara stopped herself from finishing that thought.

He was a book character. She couldn't fall for him. She shouldn't.

"Whoa! Who are you?" Naman uttered in surprise, causing Swara to step back with wide eyes.

"Do you not remember me?" Swara asked in a broken voice, panic rising in her chest.

What did she do?

Along with his character arc, did she end up completely changing him? Was he not the Naman she had known and eventually fallen for?

She couldn't stop herself from admitting it at last. Not after she had lost him. This wasn't her Naman.

"Who are you? And what have you done to my shy author?" Naman completed his question, ending his act early seeing her panicked state. "The Swara I knew wouldn't even let me pinch her cheeks, forget about a bear hug." Naman chuckled, a small smirk playing on his lips.

"Youuu." Swara hit his chest and shoulders continuously, while crying her eyes out. "How dare you play such a cruel joke on me?"

She hit him a few more times, before he pulled her in his arms, taking her in for a tight hug. He then spread his one arm, calling Selena and Vriha to join in as well. They immediately hurried over, having been already waiting on their heels for their turn.

"I am so sorry," Selena apologized, her voice muffled in his shirt.

"It's not your fault." Naman assured her.

Mann, who had frozen to see his brother laughing for the first time, eventually moved forward to join in the hug, only to be discarded away by his brother.

Naman scowled, moving away. Mann just had to ruin his mood.

"Out of all the people, how can you make him a main lead?" He asked Swara incredulously.

She knew he wanted to become the main character and yet she ended up choosing his perfect brother, like everyone else.

"She did that to save you," Selena started explaining, but Swara stopped her.

"You can hate me as much as you want. You have every right to. I did make your situation worse," Swara told him,

Naman had always hated his family situation, his original as well as the one she created for him now. She knew that and yet she put him in the position where he would feel even more depressed.

"But let me make one thing clear- Mann was chosen by the diary and not me. What I did was to try any possible way I could think of, to bring you back here. And in that I ended up making this choice. A choice for you and not for your brother." She added.

Naman's eyes softened at her admission. He already knew that, but insecurities always crept in.

"Don't take my words to heart Swara. I am just angry at the situation, not on you," Naman assured her. "Just don't make me deliver his books ever again. I am not his personal assistant." He huffed.

"You remember that?" Mann asked in a shocked voice.

"It was my idea," Vriha spoke up in glee.

"And I am really thankful for that," Swara said, before explaining.

"If Vriha hadn't reminded me to mix up the actions of Naman's previous character with the current one, then he would have actually become a different character with the same face."

'And eventually I would have ended up losing him,' Swara thought to herself.

"That was an awesome idea," Mann told Vriha, impressed by her skills. "Are you an author as well?"

"Nah! I am an idea-giver." Vriha said, flipping her hair with an attitude.

Mann chuckled. "Is that even a thing?"

"Of course, it is," Vriha said dramatically. "It is a full time job."

"Oh you are an author too, right? Contact me if you need our professional services. You can get a review from my V.I.P client- Swara." Vriha winked, handing him a blank paper as her visiting card.

"Big trouble," Naman whispered in Swara's ear, while standing behind her.

"Mann seems as attracted to Vriha as he is to Selena."

Swara moved so she was facing him. "Stop talking nonsense. They are just talking."

Naman shrugged. "Don't say I didn't warn you earlier."

"I would suggest making some distinctive changes between Vriha and Selena. Even if you think and treat them as different people, they both are too similar."

Swara gulped. "This cannot happen. He shouldn't fall for Vriha. He is meant for Selena. Give me a second, I will write down something-"

"Or we can just let them be," Selena said, coming from behind.

"Selena," Swara whispered in dread. Did she hear them?

"I already joined the dots when you were busy writing about Naman's character." Selena rolled her eyes. She wasn't a fool to not understand it after having spent more than five hours with someone who talked and walked like her.

"Sorry." Swara apologized, not knowing what else to say.

"Don't be. I am actually honoured. You made me like someone you so dearly loved and cherished," Selena said with a smile, before asking, "I get to have some of that love as well, right?"

"Of course," Swara said, pulling Selena into a hug.

"Don't worry, Vriha won't come between you and Mann," Swara promised.

"About that." Selena came out of the hug to look at Swara. "Let it happen naturally."

"What?"

"Don't write anything down. Let him decide for himself who he falls in love with." She wanted his feelings to be genuine. It would have been different if she didn't know, but now she couldn't live with the guilt if she forcefully kept him by her side.

"Honestly, I don't think that prick deserves any of you. You two are too good for him," Naman started, making Swara and Selena roll their eyes. "But you both are the main leads. So he got to end up with you."

"You were the one who once said that main leads didn't have to be a couple." Selena reminded him.

Turning towards Swara, she spoke. "If he chooses me, great, we can be a couple. If he doesn't, then we can just be best friends who solved the mystery of the curse together. Anyways, the story is about the Library and its curse and not who ends up in love with Selena."

Swara's eyes turned soft as she looked at Selena. No one possessed a bigger heart than her, not even Vriha.
