(Epilogue) Unwelcomed guest
Narrator: Well, the world learned a lesson. Not to mess with creatures who lurks in the shadows. Something that will be written forever in history....
*20 YEARS LATER*
Christy's POV:
Everything wasn't the same as before. No matter how many of those filthy humans we kill. I will never get my sister back and my friends. Pouting, I looked down at my tummy. My pups will grow up without an aunt around the house. Nobody will be able to help me.
Mama and Papa passed away a few days ago. Old age had finally claimed them and caused to sleep for the rest of their life in a coffin. Their caskets lay peacefully in the grave yard. Right next to my older sisters grave.
Thinking about my family brought me to tears almost. Patting my big round stomach, I saw my mate enter the living room. His smile brought warmth to me and I couldn't help but to smile back as well.
The Doctor that lived in this town said that I was gonna have quadruplets. That in a few days or in a week I was gonna be expected to have the deliver. Just thinking about this gives me fear in my heart but knowing that my mate was gonna be there with me. It eased my nerves a bit.
As I was in my head, thinking about this. I didn't feel a pair of arms wrap around my lower waist. Gasping from the shock, I couldn't help but to giggle as he touched my round stomach gently. Wiggling out of his arms was impossible. He was as strong as a bull.
Sighing, I leaned into his arms. He kissed the side of my face gently. Leaving tingles running through my face. I felt him pick me up bridal style into his arms and lifting me up in the air slowly. Gasping, I screeched out, "No!!!! Let me down you fool !!! Let me down!!" Giggling, this reminded me the first few weeks we had met.
Jacques' POV:
Me and my friends walked down the thrashed up sidewalks. Walking passed the smashed up windows and cars. Ever since we attacked the nearby towns, all of them had pathetically tried to fight back. Causing all these messes. Only 9 humans in total survived in the towns that are close to us.
Those 9 humans had barely any food and a proper shelter on their heads. We offer them a few things but they rarely come outside. I think one of the few survivors was a little baby. Their all probably grown up by now actually.
Whatever. I shouldn't be too caught up in my head. It was all those humans fault and none of this was our fault. The blame goes to them. Frowning, I continued to walk by the abandoned stores.
I could sense humans from a mile away but I decided that I had enough to drink last night. Whistling a random tune, I decided to smile and look through all the old buildings. Maybe go fashion shopping for some new boots and a new leather jacket. My old ones are getting ruined from all these fights. Those humans ruining every good thing!
Vannia's POV:
Sighing, I sat down in the towns park. Looking down at Stella's grave. Every since that day, I couldn't go anywhere else but here. I feel like I didn't do a good job in protecting this town.
A few minutes later of just sitting on the dead grass. I heard a few people walking towards to me. Looking back, I saw Vivian, and the two demons walking my way.
We all had aged up. Except for the demons and Vivian didn't even show her real age at all. She still looked like a little 8 year old. Except an 8 year old inside a 90 year old women. Shocking!?? Nay, not that much. They could live for a century or two. Unlike me, I can die at a normal "human" age. Well longer then a humans age gap. I could probably live for a century.
Never mind that. Ugh, I gotta stop drifting into my head and pay attention. Smiling at them, I waved my hand a 'hello' to them. The two demons just sat down on the grass and stared at the graves. They looked like lifeless dolls. Wit their big black eyes and I'm lost in my head again. Ugh.... paying attention to them. I noticed that they didn't even bother to acknowledge me.
Vivian on the other hand asked, "Hey Vannia... how long have been sitting here?" Looking back at the many graves, I responded back, "Eh... maybe 20-30 minutes... not that long." I heard her sigh, and she plopped herself down besides me.
Vivian's POV:
Sighing, I dropped myself down besides Vannia. Ever since the other creatures had been killed. Me and her some how created a friendship bound together. We fought in the many wars by each other's sides. So, I guess you could say we have a "close" friendship.
Looking down at the little patch of dirt and grass. I started to yank at the little flowers that were trying to bloom. The four of us just sat in complete and sorta awkward silence. Until the two demons finally got up and left. Probably bored.
Frowning, I got dragged into my thoughts like usually. Ugh, I shook my head to erase my thoughts that were creeping up. I had to do something to distract myself. Looking at Vannia, I asked her, "Hey ... you wanna run around the town... go for a walk or a jog maybe...?" "Sure, a walk sounds better then staring at graves." She answered back with a little laugh.
Getting up, we both jogged off to the exit of the town. Getting some exercise to clear our minds.
Christy's POV:
Groaning out in pain, I felt horrible. Shít!! Was is it already time to deliver!! This can't be!
Shaking in pain and fear. I screamed out in pain and for my husband. He quickly stormed into our bedroom and saw the situation that was happening. He ran over to me and picked me up gently into his arms.
Everything else was one massive blur. A massive blur of pain and nervousness.
Jacques' POV:
As I was walking into town. I saw Vivian and Vannia jogging along side with me. Smiling at them, I asked, "Did you guys have a good exercise today??" Vivian replied back with a smile, "Yep we did ... I think my minds a bit clear now actually."
Nodding, Vannia agreed with her as well. Smiling at them, Vannia asked me, "So, Jacques were did you run off to this time? The same usual place ??" Frowning, I nodded my head 'yes'. They both sighed out and didn't say anything else. Until Satan and her demons came running towards us.
Speak of the devil and he shall appear! Speak of Satan and she shall appear! I think that phrase should be changed to that last sentence. Even though we didn't even utter her name at all. Snapping out of my thoughts I looked up at her. Her eyes showed no emotions but her body couldn't stand still for even a second.
I raised one of my eyebrows up and my face probably showed a bit of confusion. One of the girls said in a low but sort of exciting voice, "Christy's at the hospital.... her pups are being born right now actually... we just wanted to inform everyone in the town." They turned around and went towards other people to say the same thing. Like they were robots saying the same message over and over again.
Looking away from them and towards the two girls next to me. I saw how happy and excited they were. We all knew how stressed Christy was about this whole pregnancy thing and this was the main topic or "gossip" around the town for months!
Smiling, I felt happy as well. Finally, something good for once. After all this death, life is being born. I wonder how we're all gonna take care of 4 pups. Thank god she isn't having over 6! That would be complete chaos!
Christy's POV:
After 12 hours, the fours pups are actually here. In my arms. Not in my stomach?!! This is so weird but at the same time emotional.
Looking down at my four babies. Their genders were officially confirmed. Three males and only one female. Pouting, I looked at my little girl. I wonder how her older brothers are gonna treat her once they grow up. Laying back in complete exhaustion, I felt my mates hands wrap around my own tiny hands.
Smiling faintly at him, I looked at his light blue eyes. They showed warmth and happiness. I guess even in the darkest times. We can find a great moment.
We heard little knocks near the wall. There wasn't a door. Only a curtain that gave us some privacy. Looking at my amazing love, I whispered to him, "hey.. love, check who that is.. please." He kissed my forehead quickly and went to the curtain. Peeking through the little gap for a few seconds. Then, he opened it up and I saw Vivian, Vannia, and Jacques standing there.
We all exchanged smiles and I saw the demons and Satan walking to us as well. Looking around the little room, I knew we all had a bright future ahead of us.
