"That'll be ten pound, sixty ― please pay at the first counter." The employee at the McDonald's drive thru said to me as I pushed my car forward towards the first window. "Hello," The meek girl says, "Ten pound sixty please." She says, holding out a shaky hand and my eyebrows furrowed as I handed it over ― it was then I noticed the bruise on her face.
"Miss, this may seem forward but what happened to your face?" I questioned, and she quick to cover it with her face.
"Nothing, I just feel down a flight of stairs." She says, but I glowered at her ― deciding it was best that I didn't keep questioning her, I write my phone number down onto a slip of paper.
"If you ever need to talk, that's my number and my address." I say, before pulling away ― making everyone cheer in happiness but all I could think about was that sad girls face as I pulled away, something that would haunt me forever.
My phone started buzzing beside me, and I picked it up to see it was Abi. "Yello." I say, as it connected to the bluetooth in my stolen car ― there is some things that I have to do that I'm not very proud of by I do it too survive.
"I'm starving, so you better be on your way." A heavy voice whined, and I recognised it to be Blake's.
"Naughty boys don't get treats, Blake." I mock and he huffs on his end of the phone ― and I bit down on my lip to keep myself from laughing out loud at him. I gripped the edge of my steering wheel and turned into the hospital car park.
"I heard horns, were are you?" Blake whined, and I chuckled as I parked my car and twisted the key in the ignition ― effectively cutting him off, and getting out of the car ― grabbing the McDonald's bag from the back seat and headed towards the entrance.
"Abi!" I shouted, and she turned to face me ― her eyes lighting up when she sees the McDonald's bag. She rushed towards me, pulling me into a tight hug ― being careful to not squish the food.
"You're a life saver!" She says, grabbing one of the bags and rummaged through it to find her food.
"How are the boys?" I questioned her, when she found her food ― and handed me the bag back. She rolled her eyes.
"Doctors say, Blake broke his ribs in the fight ― idiot," She mutters as we head towards the room that he was in. Once entered, I chucked the bag on Blake's bed, making him groan from where I hit him. Abi let out a loud laugh at his pain, which only gain a glare for the both of us from him.
"Bitches," He mutters and I cock a brow.
"I can easily take the food away from you Blake," I warned and he wrapped his arms around the bag like it was his baby.
"No! My precious." He whined and I let out a loud laugh as I sit down beside Abi and start to eat. Conner and Zach both picked up the bag, after Blake took his food out but Conner's eyes were still stuck on me.
"Got a staring problem?" I questioned, not even looking at him. This caused Zach and Blake to both snort and one of them to start chocking on his food.
"No." He says, roughly. "Just thinking."
"Can't you think, staring at someone else ― it's creepy." I say, turning to look at him and Zach snorted this time as Blake tried to contain his laughter.
"Ohhh burn!" Blake shouted and I let out a small snort ― Zach just covered his laughter with a small cough as I cock a brow at him ― before covering my own smirk with my hand. Abi leaned her head against my shoulder as we waited for the doctor to release him from the hospital.
