Zhan ran in his wolf form with Yibo up on his back for a long time at least for hours.

He loved the run, the thrill, the nature, the coldness, the damp ground, the silent trees, the rustling of leaves, and above all, his mates' smiles and his happiness.

Now, this was what made him feel alive, Zhan finally stopped running and started walking and Yibo was quiet as they were very deep in the forest and Yibo could hear the sound of a waterfall as Zhan slowly walked through the thick forest towards the opening and once they were at end, Yibo finally saw the waterfall and to say he was amazed would be an understatement.

He was mesmerized.

Before, he was this humongous waterfall, and below was the lake, "so pretty."

He can hear the wolf behind him growl as if he was proud of this place.

Yibo then turned around and smiled at him before walking to him and hugging the wolf's face and kissing his forehead, "why don't you transform back?"

The wolf stared at him with his blue eyes, Yibo smiled at him, "come on you can change before me."

So Zhan did as he was told and did transform back into being a human before Yibo, who smiled at him, as he looked at him up and down  ,"You have not changed as well."

Zhan looked at him with a small smile that looked strained and that made Yibo's heart clench, and his smile dimmed when he saw Zhan holding himself back and not looking at him in the eye.

Zhan was not open to him and was not being himself around him, and that made it hard for him to even breathe.

Thinking that he must have done something terrible and horrible, that must be why Zhan was still, and, Yibo just felt like he was being a burden right now to Zhan, perhaps ruining Zhan's run as well.

But Yibo could not take it anymore. He could not let Zhan get away, he had already lost him once, and it was already difficult for him to believe that he was able to meet him again, but now that he did, he was not willing to run away or leave him that easily so Yibo moved ahead and came very close to Zhan whose eyes widened a little.

"Yibo, what are-" and before Zhan can even complete his sentence, Yibo cupped his cheeks and smashed his lips against that of his.

Zhan was taken off guard by this, but as soon as his mate's lips touched his, he felt like an extremely thirsty person who finally got water and was unable to move back or push Yibo, so he put his arms around his waist and picked him up and pinned him against a tree.

Yibo wrapped his legs around his waist as his arms were around Zhan's neck, his hands playing with his hairs, gripping them and messing them up while Zhan's fingers dug into Yibo's flesh through his shirt the two were involved in a heated make-out session.

Yibo untangled his arms from around Zhan's neck and undid his shirt, and opened it fully. Zhan broke the kiss and sucked on Yibo's neck; he licked and sucked his neck, making Yibo close his eyes and enjoy the feeling of pleasure that he has missed for so long.

It was so nostalgic; the passion and the lust were still there, just like that past.

Zhan then unbuttoned Yibo's pants and pulled them down before removing Yibo from against the tree and laying him down on the ground and hovering over him, their lips still attached; Zhan removed Yibo's pants and out his hands in between his legs, poking his entrance with his finger making Yibo groan.

Zhan then suddenly break the kiss and looked at Yibo, "Are you sure you want this? you are a married man."

Yibo breathed heavily as he looked at him and said, "yes, I know what I want, just got for it."

He said, and Zhan didn't bother to ask again even now what he did was out of formality; Zhan fingered Yibo and stretched him using his two fingers and then third as he broke the suck on Yibo's neck; the urge to mark him was very high, "I want to mark so bad."

Yibo's eyes were closed as he was enjoying the pleasure that was given to him by Zhan, and said, "then whose stopping you?"

Zhan's mouth was still against Yibo's neck, "are you sure? because once I mark you, you will be stuck with me forever, your life will be tied to me, so if someday I die, then you will die as well."

Yibo smiled as he looked at Zhan, "with pleasure."

Zhan smirked before he aligned himself at Yibo's entrance and then pushed inside at the same time, his canines came out, and he sank them into Yibo's neck, making Yibo scream loudly.

After at least a decade, he was being penetrated again, and he felt so good at the same time. Zhan's canines were inside of his flesh as Zhan started to move his hips back and forth.

Yibo's eyes rolled back with pleasure after so long that they were connected again, and it felt so fulfilling and warm that they both lost themselves to this pleasure.

Zhan slowly started to catch speed, and he was really glad that Yibo was not a human and was a guardian because in the past, he was able to control himself but right now, he was a mad beast just released from his cage and was mercilessly thrusting inside his mate to assert his dominance and mark his prey who laid under him writhing with pleasure and moaning with ecstasy.

Zhan used this moment to our out his frustration, anger and jealousy and also show his love and passion for his mate, that was showing the same amount of desire for him.

"Oh fuck I am going to cum." Yibo moaned as he closed his eyes and soon came on his chest, followed by Zhan, who came inside of him.

"That was great," Yibo said as he was lying on the ground with Zhan's arms as his pillow staring at the waterfall, and Zhan was just beside him smiling genuinely this time as he stared at his mate with loving heart eyes.

Yibo then finally turned to him and finally asked, "what happened back then? why were you so angry? was it because of those people said or...was it because of me?"

Zhan sighed and spoke, "both."

He had decided that it would be better to share his worries with his mate with whom he has to share his life and soul and everything in the future, "I was  very angry when they accused me and I not angry at you first but when you mentioned Ziyi I didn't why but out nowhere this anger flared up."

Yibo sighed, "I... only love Ziyi as a friend, more like a sister, I have never touched her. She is in love with Adam and will always be... I am with her just to save her and nothing else. She is my family, and the only person left close to my family, so I can't abandon her or leave her. She is important.

But." Yibo then looked at Zhan and kissed his cheeks, "I love you Zhan; you are my soul mate and life partner... and I can never move on from you."

Zhan felt much better after hearing that, and he hugged Yibo close to his chest, who hugged him back before he asked, "is there something else that is bothering you?"

Zhan thought about it and then responded, "yes, nowadays I feel really very angry, I have always had good control over my emotions but recently I am afraid that I am losing control over my anger and my desire to get violent is getting out of hand I am afraid that might hurt someone like this."

Yibo heard everything attentively before he said, "I won't let that happen, and I know that won't happen; you are strong, Zhan, and you are a wonderful alpha. I am sure we can come over this problem as well."

Zhan smiled, "I hope so too."

The two lay there for quite some time before Yibo suddenly received a message from A-Xiang through the mind link, "Boss."

Yibo sat up, "yes."

"The council has finally replied."

"What?" Yibo spoke in his mind, and Zhan sat down beside him.

"And I have another news as well," she said.

"Say it."

There was silence for some time before she dropped the bomb, "the young vampire has escaped."
