I have tried my hardest to make this process as objective as possible; however, of course there are subjective qualities in reviewing a piece of literature.  Therefore, I try our best to follow popular models of international publishing houses, adding on requirements as I move through the elimination process.

Round 1 - Judging first chapter - looking for intrigue, good opening line, spelling, grammar

Round 2 - Judging second chapter - looking for starting outline of story/ characters + all of round 1

Round 3 - Judging third chapter - looking for interest in plot + all of round 1 and 2

Round 4 - Judging fourth chapter - looking for development of story facets + all of round 1, 2, and 3

Round 5 - Judging fifth chapter - looking for overall marketability + all of round 1, 2, 3, and 4

Beyond this, entire books will be read.

A number of books will be eliminated in each round until we have a winner from every genre.

Grand Finale - Books are reviewed overall.
