Oh, you are definitely in for a ride.

Goosebumps is a series of horrifying children's horror novels written by R.L. Stine, an American author. The novels have also been adapted into movies and series with the same title. R.L. Stine has truly brought terrifying monsters, ghosts, and creatures to life with his work, which captures the audience's interest as each book centers around different characters and settings with a twist of frightening terror.

However, despite the jumpscares and shivers that I felt whenever I read any of his books or watched the movies and series, Goosebumps has always provided me with a unique form of comfort. This is due to the fact that in each series, the protagonists, who are usually teenagers and children, always find a way to fight back against the demons they encountered. Somehow, the act of bravery portrayed by these youngsters, who are normally scaredy-cats used to being afraid of the non-existent monsters under their bed, has managed to inject some sort of solace into myself. (As you all might have guessed, I am in fact a coward who peeks through my hands whenever I'm watching horror movies.)

Regardless of the vivid illustrations of the monsters and ghosts that often keep me up at night, the series of Goosebumps has its very own way of gaining my undivided attention with its plot twists, original stories, and the depiction of atypical protagonists who, in some magical way, save the day for everyone.

My favorite book from the series is definitely "Night of the Living Dummy" as it narrates a story of a doll that comes to life. Since I have always been a huge fan of scary dolls and mannequins, that particular book has got me hooked from the title itself. My excitement continued to heighten as the television series and movies that were adapted from the Goosebumps series were all centered around Slappy, the monstrous doll in the aforementioned novel that I love. I literally was glued to the screen when the movies and series came out.

All in all, the Goosebumps series is definitely my go-to fix whenever I am in the mood for some spine-tingling moments, whether in the form of books, television series, or even movies. So, if you are looking for a thrilling blend of suspense, imagination, and childhood nostalgia, then the Goosebumps series is definitely perfect for you.
