Note: No two participants will have a tied result. If scores tie the first criteria [Plot Depth & Originality] will be considered as main criteria. If those scores tie too then readability will be considered [which story is more likeable].

Note: categories with ten entries shall have three place holders, categories with less than ten entries shall have two place holders, and categories with five (six at times) or less than five shall have only one place holder.

Does the story offer something unseen? Is the tale deep, layered, and captivating? Or is it a reflection of tales told too often?

2. 🦴 Character Crafting (15 pts)

Are the characters more than names? Do they breathe, bleed, and burn within the reader's soul?

3. 🕯️ Writing Style & Language (15 pts)

Is the prose poetic, fluid, or choppy and dull? Do the words beckon you into the darkness or leave you cold at the edge?

4. 🌘 Atmosphere & Tone (10 pts)

Does the story build a mood that swallows the reader whole? Do we feel the tension, the romance, the horror—whatever genre calls?

5. 🕷️ Pacing & Structure (10 pts)

Is the rhythm right? Does it drag or rush? Does the structure serve the soul of the story?

6. 🖤 Emotional Impact (10 pts)

Does it make you feel—ache, scream, laugh, weep, crave more?

7. 🔮 Creativity in Theme Execution (10 pts)

How well is the theme explored or twisted? Was it safe... or did it dance with fire?

8. 🩶 Grammar & Technical Skill (5 pts)

It doesn't need to be perfect—but does the craft get in the way of the story? Or does it enhance it?

9. 📖 Title, Cover & Blurb Cohesion (5 pts)

Do they whisper promises the story delivers? Or do they mislead the reader into a different realm?

The weight of emotion must linger like fog in the lungs.

2. ✨ Imagery & Language – 25 pts

Are the verses draped in velvet metaphors or cut with sharp truths?
Words should bleed beauty, rawness, or ruin.

3. 🌊 Form, Rhythm & Flow – 20 pts

Does it move like a haunting melody, or stumble like a restless ghost?
Whether rhymed or raw, the flow must be intentional and felt.

4. 🎓 Originality & Voice – 15 pts

Is the soul behind the stanza unique?
We look for verses only this poet could've carved into the page.

5. 💍 Theme Relevance & Depth – 15 pts

Did the poem truly descend into its chosen theme?
We crave layered meaning — not just pretty words, but purpose beneath.
