One minute I was stuffing my oesophagus with some delicious sugary goods and the next moment I'm choking on it.

What a wonderful way to start the morning. I swear this boy's going to kill me one day.

Spluttering, Az was quick enough to grab a glass of water and give it to me, gently tapping my back a few times as I gulped it down.

"You okay, love?" He asked worriedly.

I would be if you hadn't drop that bombshell on me, idiot. I wanted to say in between my coughing fit. I mean, I was already a bit freaked out about the fact that  I had fallen in love with him so fast and on top of that I had come to the conclusion that his confessions yesterday were probably just drunken words.

But something tells me that the staring at my butt like a creep part was probably true.

Hmph.

Well it's not like I can blame him, I do have some amazing assets.

Shut up Willow. So not the time.

"You really love me?" I asked quietly as I leaned back on the couch.

He let out a soft laugh in reply and leaned towards me, "Ofcourse I love you,Raps. I'm so fucking in love and I know that you probably don't feel the same but that's okay. But I just want you to know that I love you. More than anything in the whole damn world. And no matter what, I'll always love you." He said confidently, staring right into my eyes.

Oh.

"Um..thank you?" I stated stupidly.

Really Willow?! A freaking thank you?!

God, I'm hopeless.

To my surprise, Az threw his head back and roared with laughter. The sound of it rich and warm, absolute music to my ears. The sunlight falling in through the curtain illuminated his face making the sharp angles of his cheekbones and jaw stand out even more, his thick, messy hair flopped onto his forehead giving him a boyish look.

And gosh, those dimples.

"I love you."

It took a second for me to comprehend the fact that it had come out of my own mouth.

So much for making it special.

Stop.

He laughter immediately died and he snapped his head to the side to stare at me through wide eyes, "W-what?....You I- wait. What did you just say?" He stuttered.

He's a bit dense but I love him.

"I said I love." I mumbled quietly, "Possibly from the moment I laid my eyes on you."

The smile that bloomed on his face was breathtaking and I watched in awe as his cheeks turned a bright red colour. He smiled shyly and quickly stuffed his face into the crook of my neck to hide his blush.

"You make me so damn happy Raps." He whispered as he pressed kisses to my neck.

You have no idea how you make me feel everyday, Az.

I pressed a kiss to his head in reply and gently started combing my fingers through his hair. We stayed like that for sometime enveloped in a comfortable silence, just basking in each other's presence. His body warm and firm against me. Ha that rhymed.

I have always believed that true love only comes once and if we lose that we'll never find our person again  but I think sometimes we just don't realise the fact that they're sometimes so close to us. Like me, I never knew I loved him until yesterday, and it was so obvious that I was head over heels for him from the very beginning.

"Oh and I wanted to ask you something," he suddenly said, "We're actually going to have a Halloween party or some shit here tomorrow evening according to Chase, you know Chase, right baby? So do you have any plans? You can bring your friends too. Usually I just stay here just so that the fuckers don't trash my room but if you have any plans then I'll come with you. Or maybe you have something to do with your friends? That's totally fine too, I wouldn't want you to neglect your friends or suffocate you." He said, trying to mask the hopeful glint in his eyes.

I think I passed on my rambling traits to him. Poor Az.

"Az breath. And I don't have any plans." I laughed, "I'll  bring Ellie but it'll take a lot of convincing to bring Mel though." I unintentionally voiced out my thoughts.

"Melantha Mikael? Oh, I don't think that's going to be a problem,baby." He smirked mischievously, "even if you can't convince her, believe me someone else will."

"Huh? Who? You?" I asked confusedly.

"Nope, not me love. Someone else." He said.

Oh well.

"And we have a week off right? So me and my friends all go somewhere during the time for vacation, it's kind of like a tradition so will you guys be able to come with us?" He asked.

"Woah, woah. What's with all the plans today?" I raised a brow.

"Nothing, it's out usual thing and I don't want to stay away from you for that long." He mumbled.

"I don't know about that Az because I have a lot of spending assignments and I'm not sure if those two will be up for it." I said

"I'll help you with your assignments, just bring it when we go and I'm sure you can convince your friends. Please? Raps?" He pouted, widening his gorgeous eyes.

Ugh.

"Fine, I'll try." I sighed.

"I love you." He grinned and tackled me to the couch.

I smiled widely as I opened Mel's room and there she was on her laptop, her headphones plugged in and surrounded by millions of paper scattered all around the room.

She looked up as I sat on the edge of her bed and grinned at her. Removing her headphones, she raised a brow.

"Why are you smiling at me like Annabelle on drugs?"

"Nothing."

"I don't believe you."

"What are you doing?" I asked her

"A seminar. We have to present it after the holidays, I don't know shit I'm just pasting it all from the internet."

"Oh. Can I help?"

"Right. What do you want, Wil?" She deadpanned.

"Ummm, well there's a Halloween party at Azrael's house and he invited us." I mumbled.

"Yeah. No." She said and went right back to her work.

"But please, he invited all three of us. Ellie has already said she'd come and she already went out to buy Halloween costume. Just take a break for a day Mel."

"Oh, I'll definitely take a break tomorrow to sleep till the evening and then I'm just going to stay in bed just being lazy. Sounds amazing right?" She sighed dreamily.

"No, it doesn't. And you know what? I'll buy you dark chocolate brownie ice cream." I said, crossing my fingers behind my back.

"Nice try.....but still no, I have five tubs in the fridge." She said.

"Fine. Three tubs of ice cream and a new book." I said.

"Hmmm. Not bad." She said tapping her finger on her chin, pretending to be thinking.

"Ugh, three tubs of ice cream and two latest addition Sarah J Mass books. Hardcover."

I'm going to be broke.

Well I could always take Az's shirtless pictures and sell it.

Hmph. Not bad.

"Damn, sold." She said with wide eyes.

"Awesome, now get your butt to the washroom and get ready. We have to go buy costumes," I clapped my hands excitedly.

I have just the perfect costume in mind.

"By the way, is Azrael's friends going to be there?" She asked.

"Duh Mel. It's a party at their place." I rolled my eyes.

"So the green eyed one? Zephyr? Is he there?" She asked, pretending to be nonchalant.

"Who? Zep- oh wait you mean Zach?" I asked

"Yeah,yeah that man child." She muttered under her breath.

"Yeah, he's going to be there but why so curious suddenly huh? Do you have a crush?" I teased with a wide smile.

She scoffed in reply, "Unfortunately, my one true love remains myself." She said, quoting one of our favourite character.

"Yeah and look at what happened to Jace Herondale, he fell in love, didn't he? You'll be the next one,Mel. I can just feel it in my soul." I said, placing a palm on my chest. 

"Whatever." She grumbled as she trudged into the washroom.

"Oh? And pack your bag, we're going for vacation after the party with them!" I shouted as she closed the door.

"Heck no!" She yelled back, her voice muffled.

As if she has a choice.

Poor kid.

First of all I'm sorry I took a week to write this chapter but the thing is that I'm insanely busy rn cuz I just changed school in the middle of the year and I'm shifting to a different country itself.... and the new school is insanely hard too
