I sat there, gaping at the man in front of me. His blue eyes blazing in silent challenge as he stared at the waiter.

Azrael.

Me and the waiter both seemed to have stopped functioning properly though I'm sure it was because of totally different reasons.

I felt my throat dry as my eyes travelled downwards.

He was clad in a simple black shirt that hugged his broad chest, the top two buttons open showing a silver of his skin and black jeans that emphasised his long, muscular legs. His hair was messy as if he had run his fingers many times through it.

His attention then slid to me and I saw his gaze softening. I still sat there frozen as he walked near and sat right in front of me, his mesmerizing eyes never leaving mine.

"One black coffee." He told the waiter without looking at him. He snapped out of his trance and rushed inside.

Azrael sat there staring at me, his eyes holding an unknown emotion and I felt as if he could see right through my soul. I could feel my palms turning clammy and my heart beating rapidly.

Oh God what if he can hear it ?!

Or worse hear my thoughts.

He still did not move an inch and neither did he utter a single word and we both just sat there looking at each other as if we were in some sort of trance. I'm sure it must have looked very creepy to the people watching us.

And then the corner of his lips twitched into a beautiful smile, a dimple appearing on his cheek that left me breathless and my heart skipped a few beats.

A different waiter came bearing a cup of coffee and placed it infront of Azrael who gave him a nod of thanks to him.

I raised a brow as he pushed the cup towards me, his long slender fingers adorned with silver rings.

"It's for you."

Oh. Okay then.

He was about to say something else when his phone rang. He answered it and listened intently as a frantic voice spoke from the other end. I observed his eyed turn serious and he pressed his lips into a thin line.

"Yeah, I'll be there." And with that he hung up and looked at me, his eyes turning mischievous again.

"I'll see you soon,Raps." He said and rushed out but not before giving me a crooked grin that held a promise of trouble.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding as he disappeared out of my sight and looked at the iced tea in front of me and the cup of coffee next to it.

I slowly pushed the iced tea away and took a sip of the coffee, my mind still in a daze.

I couldn't believe that I was so nervous around him, I was quiet confident but around him I was pretty sure I was anything but that.

I jumped when I felt a hand on my shoulder and Mel's grinning fave came into view.

"I guessed you'll be here! heard you were banished from your class..."

" I call that escaping from class and I knew you'd come here so I even bought you an iced tea." I said enthusiastically.

"Aww you're such an awesome friend. " Mel exclaimed and took a big sip.

I smirked internally.

"You're drinking black coffee? I thought you hated it....?"

"Just practising ....you never know when it can be useful.."

"I'm not even going to ask what this is about considering it's you." She said and rolled her eyes.

We ate lunch and I told I'll pay for the food to which Mel reluctantly agreed.

"I'll go get the car then..." she said.

I snorted and nodded my head, thinking about the last time she went to take her car.

"Can I have the bill, please?" I asked one of the waiters

"It has already been settled ma'am."

Oh.

Good good. Who says no to free food.

But wait who payed for it...

What if it's a stalker or a serial killer like in the books?!

"May I know who payed for it ?"

"It was payed by the man who was sitting in front of you earlier, ma'am."

Okie then. Extra desserts for me today.

I jumped into the passenger seat as soon as Mel stopped the car in front of me.

"So where are we going?" I asked

"We,my friend, are going to the mall."

"What ! NO, I want ice ceam now!"

"I'll buy you brownie fudge ice cream if you come...."

Tempting but no.

I kept quiet, waiting for her to negotiate more.

"Fine, I'll buy you two and one for parcel !"

"Deal" I said immediately.

This was a mistake.

"Can we please go now?!" I groaned.

It has been five hours since we have reached the mall and Mel was still dragging me from one shop to another.

My feet kills me, I was thirsty and I still didn't get my ice cream.

"That's it ! We are going to go buy ice cream right now or I'm going to ugly cry and shout that you've escaped the mental hospital and have kidnapped me." I threatened.

"But there's sale in Forever 21!"

"I don't care." I almost yelled.

Ice cream deprived me is a scary me.

I sighed happily as I removed my shoes and fell on the bed. My stomach was filled with the chocolatey goodness and all I needed now was a good, long sleep.

Should I brush my teeth ?

Nah, I'll just do it tomorrow.........

I wrapped the fluffy blanket around me in burrito style and sighed again and I almost had tears in my eyes.

This is pure bliss.

I thought to myself and felt my eyes droop. But then as usual my phone rang and I resisted the urge to smash it on the wall. I groaned and dragged it from inside my bag and blinked to see the display name clearly.

The moment I could see it, I felt my sleepiness vanish and excitement fill me but I still turned around to check if there was any invisible camera in my room because this guys seems to always call me just as I fall asleep.
