A Mikaelson Thanksgiving Part Two

Elijah, Faye, Lizzie and Klaus are sitting at both ends of the table while Tristan and Aurora sit side-by-side on the right side, leaving Lucien to sit alone on the left. The table is loaded with all manner of Thanksgiving foods, including a turkey, stuffing, hrown gravy, cranberry sauce, and salad.

"It's a bit odd, isn't it? Celebrating an American holiday?" Lucien muttered.

"I never liked that holiday." Faye admitted.

"The last Thanksgiving I had was a shock to me. Since I met my long lost older sister." Lizzie added.

"Well, you know, Lucien, I rather enjoy Thanksgiving. The turkey, the cranberry sauce... The lies, the deceit, the betrayal... Perhaps we should begin this evening's proceedings with a little confession? And do help yourselves." Elijah smiled as he gestured to the food.

"So, this entire dinner is meant to be some boorish inquisition? How rude." Nora pouted.

"Nonsense. It's an interrogation." Lizzie smirked as Nora turned to glare at her.

"My brother merely wishes to make certain we're all on the same page. So, who would like to begin?" Klaus told Aurora making her settle a bit.

The guests are all silent until Tristan finally speaks up "Well, Lucien and I have always loathed each other. Had we arrived as allies with a bleak future, you would have doubted us. We sought to remove suspicion by maintaining appearances."

" Oh, my dear. These pathetic lies promise to be as difficult to swallow as your stuffing this year, Niklaus. Walnuts, honestly." Elijah chuckled sarcastically.

Klaus laughs loudly before Lucien jumps into the discussion "The bottom line is, we came to protect you ourselves. We have never wavered on this point."

"The bottom line is, we came to protect you ourselves. We have never wavered on this point." Lucien declared.

"And the bodies on my... our streets? Is that your protection as well?"Klaus asked, correcting himself.

"It's business as usual for The Strix." Lucien chimed in.

"An old tactic, used often and to great success. Jack the Ripper, Son of Sam... A frightened human populace is that much easier to control. If tourism should decline, and the local vampires are deprived of fresh blood? Well, you saw how quickly Marcel joined our ranks." Tristan says, nodding.

"Pedestrian. I would've expected more from such gaudy theatrics." Klaus says, rolling his eyes.

"Well, if one wanted to obtain a certain item in, say, a private collection, but one was not invited into the home where said private collection was located, a police investigation could come in handy to remove those items as evidence." Lucien rambled.

"I take it you are referring to the medallion?" Elijah questioned.

"I suppose it was my sister who shared that bit of information?" Tristan questioned, glaring at his sister.

"Don't blame Aurora. You three are hardly conspiratorial geniuses."Klaus said.

"Funny story...it turns out, all along, that the medallion was in the hands of Nik's friend Camille, the bartender-slash-therapist. Had to get her and Lola's twin siphon brother arrested in order to search her goodies, so to speak. But, I would never allow any harm to come to her, knowing how close you are to her. Especially that she is Lola's friend." Lucien said with a false layer of sympathy to his voice.

"Well, let me say this, if you dare hurt them in any way, I will have have my other brother and my sister kill your vampire friends. They're quite good at removing vampire's hearts with magic."Lizzie threatened.

"A medallion that could lock us away hardly seems like a wise strategy for those come to protect us. Hand it over" Klaus instructed.

"Let us rephrase that. You hand it over and get to leave this lovely house alive and intact. Or, I ruin one of Elijah's charming Persian rugs."Faye threatened.

"Yes, I do like those rugs. And release Rebekah." Elijah added.

"Uh, just a tick...Aurora, Rebekah, hmm?"Lucien asked.

"No reason why I shouldn't be trusted with my sire's safety." Aurora declared, with genuine pride.

"Maybe cause you're fucking crazy. Or I heard." Kiara fired back. Aurora gasped, disgusted.

"Of course. Unless you were to have one of your episodes." Lucien agreed, trying to defuse the tension between the two.

"Easy, Lucien. My sister sought leverage to protect herself. Who among us would do otherwise?"Tristan snapped defensively.

" Niklaus, will you politely remind me why we shouldn't just compel them all to give us what we want?" Elijah asked, getting impatient.

"Yes, Nik, why?"Lizzie asked.

Aurora bursts into very loud laughter at this remark.

"I'm sorry, did Elijah say something amusing?" Klaus asked as he was pissed.

"We lost a century to compulsion, my love. And some of us lost a great deal more. Surely you can't believe we'd allow ourselves to come here vulnerable?" Aurora announced.

"My dearest Aurora, compulsion is not my only party trick." Elijah replied.

"There are other ways to make you talk."Faye smirked, agreeing with Elijah.

"I do not like these threats." Aurora snapped.

"Our continued existence depends on the Mikaelsons. We've known that since Finn and Kol died. Unfortunately, so does every other vampire in the world. Given that the sirelines have declared war against one another, you can imagine how many young upstarts have come to the same conclusion... kill a Original, wipe out an entire line of rivals. Heavy burden, isn't it? The lives of thousands of sired vampires resting on your shoulders? In a perfect world, you'd allow us to seal you away forever, thus eliminating the threat." Tristan intercepted.

"Did he seriously just say that?" Lizzie asked Klaus.

"I believe he did. Fortunately, the world is far from perfect." Klaus said, his voice cold.

"With all the nauseating dinner theater we've endured throughout the centuries, these performances are, by far, the worst. Aurora, my sister..." Elijah declared.

Lizzie could hear footsteps echoing though the house and she turned around to see Freya. If anyone was going to help her with torturing some old vampires, it was going to be Freya.

"We're welcoming our enemies to the dinner table now? Convenient, given she's the one who has the answers I want." Freya says incredulously and gestures at Aurora.

"Oh, for heaven's sake! Now I have to deal with the long-lost sister? Not to mention, the overbearing wife. Nik, please spare me your family's rage and paranoia. It is exactly this kind of lunacy which led me to steal Rebekah in the first place." Aurora exclaimed, standing up and pointing a finger at Freya.

"What did you do with her?" Freya snarled.

" Oh, I'm sorry, love, but this prophecy has you all acting as fools. And I've no intention of risking my life to foolishness." Aurora scoffed.

"That doesn't even make any sense."Lizzie snapped.

"Yes, well I can't trust Rebekah with any of you. And I certainly can't trust the silly dear to endure on her own, so I decided to put her someplace safe. Imagine a spot where no harm could come to her. Where, in fact, no one could possibly even track her down. Yes, rest assured, Rebekah is perfectly fine... at the bottom of the ocean."

"She's what?" Faye exclaimed.

"You're bluffing. " Klaus said.

Aurora simply shakes her head as though she's playing dumb, and Klaus becomes even more overwhelmed with anger and said "Tell me you're bluffing!"

"Oh, you should all be thanking me. Rebekah's never been safer! She has plenty of company down there. There's all the little crabs, and octopus, and..." Aurora scoffed.

Aurora makes accompanying hand gestures to communicate the crabs and octopi just as Klaus angrily slams his hands on the table and stands to his feet. Before Klaus can react further, however, Tristan vamp-speeds over to Freya and holds the point of a knife to her throat and growled "Harm my sister, and I'll be forced to return the favor."

Elijah, not to be outdone, vamp-speeds over to Tristan and yanks him away from Freya, pinning him face-first against one of the support beams of the balcony. Lucien smirks at this development and awkwardly sips his drink before making his snarky reply "Oh, this all escalated very quickly..."

"Shut up, Lucien, or I'll tear your tongue from your head." Klaus threatened.

" Be careful with your threats, Nik. Anything should happen to me, I won't be able to protect your precious Cami." Lucien declared.

Aurora raised her voice "Okay, that is the second time I've heard her name! Just who is this Cami?"

"You have bigger problems."Freya said as she raised her hand using her magic to snap her neck before doing the same with Nora.

Lizzie smiled, nudging Freya with her arm "Did I ever tell you you're my favorite sister?"

Freya smiled, crossing her arms.

"Niklaus, Elizabeth. Which of these two vulgar parasites would you first like to torture?" Elijah said as he drags Tristan back to the table by the back of his neck and shoving him down onto his seat.

Lucien takes a deep breath, clearly not keen to be alone with either Mikaelson brother, but Klaus just shrugs "Well, it's half a dozen of one and six of the other, isn't it? Why don't you take the stable boy? Tristan and I are long overdue for a good catch-up."

Klaus then whispered to Lucien " Oh, if anything happens to Camille..."

"Oh, I'm quite sure Lucien's aware. Devastating error." Elijah cut off.

"Oh oh oh. I'll call the bitchy redhead and the bitchy brunette along with Freya and Faye. I think it's time I try my hand at revenge, wouldn't you say Nik?"Lizzie smirked.

Klaus smirked back at his wife "Indeed my queen. I suggest starting small. The fingernails or tongue."

Lizzie smirked knowing what happened next would be fun.
