Alone with Everybody Part Two
Night has fallen, and Lizzie walks through the woods, remembering parts of it considering Hayley had showed her around when Lizzie was on a quest on killing the manticore. The memories. She comes upon the trailer by the river, noticing a fire scorching in a pit and Lola walked over. She walked up to the door and knocked on the door. A young teenage girl with dark hair answered the door, looking devastated. When she sees Lizzie standing in front of her, she jumped in fear and quickly wields a knife as protection.
"What do you want?" Kayla asked fearfully and Lola holds up her hands in defense.
"Hey, I'm not here to hurt you, okay? I'm here to help. My name's Lizzie, Hayley Marshall's friend. And I heard you're in a bit of predicament." Lizzie told her as she noticed her lower the knife and she sighed in relief.
The frightened girl burst into tears, setting the knife on the counter and running towards the woman, hugging her tightly. Lizzie holds her close and softly strokes her hair to calm her down a bit. The two pull away and they walk toward the small campfire near the trailer.
They sat down on some log stumps.
"I heard there's not much of a pack left, so I thought you might need someone to talk to. I know I'm not Hayley, but I have a understanding of what you're going through." Lizzie told her.
Kayla nods silently, but she's still obviously overwhelmed by everything that is happening.
"But here's the thing you need to remember as you deal with all of this...you're a lot tougher than you think you are. And, no matter how awful you feel, you're not alone."Lizzie said.
Lizzie looks over and sees a large branch sticking out of the fire, which she picks up and uses as a torch as she says "Come on. There's someplace I want you to see."
Kayla looks confused, but she follows Lizzie as she leads her through the woods with their torch lighting the way. Lizzie brought Kayla to a clearing in the woods near her trailer, where various personal items have been spread around, a teddy bear perched under a tree, a pair of sneakers hanging from the branches, Mardi Gras beads and various other items strewn around. Lizzie uses the torch to light several more torches that have been stuck in the ground while Kayla looks at their new location in confusion.
"What is this place?" The young wolf asked quietly.
"Hayley brought me here once. The pack used to come here when someone triggered their curse. Not to ask for forgiveness, but... to accept what they had done. To honor the dead in order to move on." Lizzie explained as she looks at Kayla, who looks utterly overwhelmed.
"I don't even know his name..." Kayla said.
"Here. This was his." Lizzie smiles gently and walks over to her, pulling a wallet out of her jacket pocket and handing it to her.
Kayla looks at her questioningly.
Lizzie huffed a laugh "Asked a sheriff to do me a favor. He kindly accepted."
Kayla looks down at the wallet, unsure of what to do or say as Lizzie spoke up "Look, the turning is gonna hurt. And your first full moon is gonna be a real bitch. But, like I said, you're tough. You can handle it."
Lizzie seems affected by her own words, as though they apply to herself, and Klaus, who, unbeknownst to the girls, is lurking in the shadows behind them, also seems to relate to what Lizzie is saying as well.
"You'll never forget what happened, but... You can't let the past define who you are."Lizzie continued.
Klaus seems impressed by how comforting Lizzie is being to the young werewolf, and Kayla gently opens the wallet and pulls out the work ID of the man she killed before hanging it up on the tree to signify his life and death.
After Kayla has returned home, Klaus comes out of the woods to join Lola, still looking slightly embarrassed about his earlier behavior. Lizzie looks confused when she sees him and asked "Where are Hope and Theo?"
"With Hollis. You trust him, I trust you... Baby steps, as it were. Seems I owe you an apology, little siphon." Klaus informed.
The corner of Lizzie's lips lift into a small smile.
The hybrid looks uncomfortable, but forces himself to look Lizzie in the eyes before he said "I've given you a thousand reasons to abandon me, but you haven't yet. So... thank you. For my sake, and for our children."
He wrapped his arm around her waist as he continued " Perhaps... it's time to start living, not by my decisions, not by yours, but by what we together decide. Partners. For Hope and Theo. Forever."
Lizzie seems truly touched by Klaus' response and smiles at him.
"That's must have been hard for you." Lizzie smiled brightly pressing a kiss on his cheek.
"What?" Klaus asked.
"Apologising." Lizzie grinned.
Klaus rolled his eyes, before he catches the ID Kayla hung on the tree out of the corner of his eye, and he looks horrified when he gets a closer look at it. Lizzie's expression becomes concerned and she asked "What's wrong?"
"This was no random attack. These wolves aren't just disappearing. They're being hunted." Klaus stated as he gets up and walks over to the tree to look at the ID.
At Lucien's penthouse, Freya has been bound to a chair with a black hood over her head, and Lucien circles around her, tracing his finger over her shoulders before he finally removes the hood. She has also been gagged, and she glares furiously at Lucien as he leans in from behind her and whispers in her ear with a smug smirk.
"Hello, love." Lucien membled and he sighs deeply and takes the white oak bullet out of her pocket before he continues "A Mikaelson witch, a white oak bullet... Throw in a dash of wolf venom and a case of champagne, and I'd say we have a recipe for some real fun!"
The Mikaelson witch looks horrified by the prospect of what he could want with her.
A/N So during next episode Hayley will give birth. While Freya will give birth in episode 18.
