Lizzie was sat on the balcony, staring into the starry night, she pulled at the arm of her jumper as she nervously fidgeted in her seat.

"You sure you want to be out here? We both know what the humidity does to your hair."A voice called out.

Lizzie's head snapped, leaning on the other edge of the balcony was Rebekah Mikaelson herself.

Lizzie jumped up from her seat and ran to the blonde original. Her arms almost immediately wrapped around the blonde's neck tightly.

"You're not a bunch of ashes."Lizzie breathed out against the blonde's head, eyes burning as tears filled in her eyes.

"No, I'm not. I just came to say goodbye."Rebekah sighed with a sad smile as the two pulled apart.

"Goodbye? You're leaving?"Lizzie repeated as her face fell.

Rebekah nodded as tears gathered in her own eyes.

Rebekah shrugged, a smile twitching at her lips "Yes, Nik and I came to a sort of all-or-nothing arrangement. I leave town for good, and he allows me to. Can't pass that up."

"I get it. A thousand years with him, I guess you deserve a few vacation days."Lizzie chuckled sadly.

"I just... thank you for helping you. You and those babies are the only hope to him finding his redemption."Rebekah spoke as tears spilled down her eyes.

Lizzie nodded her head and said "You better visit me blondie, I'm good at keeping a secret from Nik."

"Well, if I can't, you make sure to tell that little girl and that little boy stories of their crazy Auntie Bex. And let them know, despite my absence, I do love them very much."Rebekah says.

"Do you want to make me cry you old crone? Besides the babies will know their godmother. I'll make sure of it."Lizzie breathed out, dramatically fanning her eyes before tears dropped.

Rebekah's eyes widened as she started "Godmother? But..."

"Don't worry, Faye and Hayley already claimed it as well, and since I'm the mom, I can pick as many people as I want."Lizzie grinned before a grimace pulled at her face as the tears slipped into her mouth.

"You are the bestest friend a girl could ever ask for. Thank you for showing me what it's like to have a real friend."Rebekah said, wiping the tears from her cheek before she pulled the siphon into a tight hug.

"It's been my pleasure, Bex."Lizzie whispered as the blonde pulled away.

The original smiled at her sadly, face clad with tear streaks "Don't die, okay?"

"No promises."The siphon said.

Rebekah choked out a chuckle before she turned on her heels and sped off.
