Moon Over Bourbon Street Part One
It has been a month since Rebekah left. Hayley had left the compound to live with the werewolves. Genevieve had tried to break off the relationship between Klaus and Lizzie by telling Klaus about the Merge and the Gemini coven but what she was shocked to find out that Lizzie already told Klaus. So zero points for Genevieve.
In Klaus and Lizzie's shared room, a breathy moan escaped Lizzie's mouth as Klaus pulled away from her, a cheeky smirk sat on his plump lips as she huffed, brushing her hair from her face. The original picked up his shirt before he began to button it up, leaving the top few buttons undone, revealing his bare chest.
Lizzie's arm reached out to the floor, picking up the discarder oversized shirt, she slipped it back onto her body before her back collided with the cough again... chest having up and down.
Klaus continued painting, a method of control, that's what he called it... So what the hell was he up to?.
Lizzie's eyes lifted from the screen in front of her upon hearing footsteps enetering the room, her eyes followed Elijah as he sauntered his way into the bedroom.
"Niklaus, it has been a month. Now, I feel our sister's loss as deeply as you. But, you must stop distracting yourself with this ridiculous behavior and channel it into some kind of action."Elijah stated.
Lizzie swoled, looking up at the original in mild offense "Ouch, Elijah."
Lizzie was wearing a green dress with a leather jacket and some sandals.
"Why must I, exactly?"Klaus spoke up, not looking away from the easel.
"Because over the course of Marcel's tenure, the city grew accustomed to having a king. You wanted this throne. Now, you must accept the responsibility that accompanies that."Elijah continued, looking down at Lizzie for help, the siphon girl merely shrugged.
" Apologies, but I'm rather ensconced in other pursuits."Klaus told him, glancing back with a sarcastic smile before his eyes fell to his painting again.
Elijah's tongue poked his cheek in annoyance, moving forward he snatched the paintbrush out of his brother's hand and set it down " If you can so easily neglect your home, I wonder what will become of your children."
Lizzie snapped"Shut it, Elijah. This business is our own."
"Have you forgotten what it was like to live beneath the threat of violence? We must work together, brother. Let's make this city whole again."Elijah pleaded.
Lizzie looked over at the Mikaelson inquisitevely, maybe he had a point. She didn't want her babies growing up in a literal war zone, it wouldn't exactly be the best chilhood memories to look back at.
"Perhaps it is too broken to mend."Klaus said as he picked his paintbrush back up, sparing a small glance at his brother.
"If you won't do anything, I will."Elijah sighed in defeat before he left.
Lizzie cringes to herself, already having a feeling that the result in that conversation is going to result in Elijah going to herself. She walked to find Faye. However, she jumped when Elijah was standing in front of her.
"Lizzie, may I speak with you? "Elijah asked.
"As you know the spell to unlink me, Luke and the miracles babies from the Gemini Coven require another Gemini to cast it with us... We need to get Kai out of Prison world. But in order to free him, we need the Ascendant. Which my sister Jo has. I'm just trying to find a way how I will get my hands on the Ascendant since Jo will never give it to me."Lizzie explained.
Elijah sighed deeply "You'll figure it out, you always do. Now... I need you to come with me and could you also arrange for Faye to come along?"
"Why? What's going on?"Lizzie asked.
Elijah said "If I tell you now you won't come along."
"Or. You can tell me and then I'll decide whether or not I'm going."Lizzie stated.
"You wish to be able to bring your children up in a nontoxic environment, yes? If you accompany me to St. Anne's then I promise it will be the start of turning this city into that."Elijah replied while he fastened his suit jacket as he began to walk down the hallway in the opposite direction.
"The church? Is the start of this nontoxic thing going to be me confessing my sins? How long do you have? Because we'll be there until the babies are born if I have to confess my sins?"Lizzie questioned as Elijah turned in his step to face her.
Receiving an unamused stare on Elijah makes Lizzie stop in her quip. She bites her lips and stays silent before she scoffed, throwing her hands up "Okay, fine! I'll go and get Faye!"
She turned on her heel and walked a few steps down the hallway until she twists herself round to face Elijah again, raising an unimpressed brow.
Faye added "Oh and by the way, using blackmail against me so I'll do your little plan? Nice job."
Later, Lizzie pulled the car up to St. Anne's church, she glanced over to Liv in the passenger side as she switched the ignition off.
Faye announced "Hayley called last night. Celeste's herb or whatever worked."
Lizzie asked "So they're all human again?"
"Yes, I guess."Faye shrugged as they both climb out of the car.
Faye was wearing a top with a leather jacket, a jean and some boots.
Faye speeds walks to catch up with her sister as they walked towards the church while asking "Are they okay with her, you know, being a hybrid?"
"Majority are, but there are some stragglers that aren't too pleased. But you and I both knows that Hayley knows how to stick to herself."Lizzie grinned as she opened up the door to the church.
As the best friends both entered the church, they were greeted by Elijah standing besides a table in the middle of the aisle.
"Okay, Elijah, we're here. Now will you tell me why you needed us here so desperately?"Lizzie asked.
"It has taken weeks but we are finally having a meeting with various others from the supernatural and human factions to come to a new agreement. Niklaus no longer seems interested in the attempt to keep peace within this city but I'll not stand for the violence that has descended as of late."Elijah explained as he stepped closer to the pair.
Lizzie flashed an irritated smile and said "That still doesn't answer my question."
"Yes, well if you had let me finished. We have people from both the vampire and witch communities, however, I feel it may be beneficial for the two of you to also join in this treaty. "Elijah quips with tease in his tone.
"We're not witches from New Orleans."Faye stated.
"Well you would join this treaty as the representatives for the Gemini witches of New Orleans."Elijah said.
Their conversation is interrupted as a frail looking Father Kieran appeared behind them, clutching hold of papers which he dropped onto the floor. Lizzie rushed over to him, picking up the papers and guiding Kieran over to the table.
Lizzie's skin heats up in annoyance as she looked towards the entrance to see Genevieve walking in.
Lizzie breathed in sharply, glaring over to Elijah "You've got to be kidding me. She is the representative for the witches? Did you forget what she did to Rebekah! Or the fact that she tried to break me and Nik apart!"
Elijah cleared his throat, gently placing his hand against Lola's wrist to turn the backs from everyone stepping into the church "I trust you will be on your best behaviour, Elizabeth."
"It should be her you're giving a scolding to. After all, it is because of her that everything last month happened in this family and the result of Rebekah is gone forever."Lizzie scoffed, pushing Elijah's hand away from her before turning her step, glaring towards the red headed witch.
Elijah sighed deeply, lowering his head as he takes a deep breath "I'm just as unhappy about that as you, I assure you. But nothing will get resolved if we cling onto the past."
"Fine."Lizzie said.
Elijah wears a gracious smile, taking hold of Lizzie's hand for a moment before letting ho and approaching the now full table. Faye stands besides Lizzie, she followed Lizzie's hateful glare towards the witch making Faye gasped slightly "Is that..."
Lizzie hummed, crossing her arms against her chest "Witch bitch."
Genevieve wears a polite smile as she stepped closer towards them both, said "You must be Elizabeth, the pregnant siphon which makes you Faye Bennett, the Bennett heretic. I am..."
"I know who you are. Which is why I'm going to bring this little introduction to a quick end."Faye interrupted.
"I see being rude must been because you are hanging too much with Elizabeth."Genevieve commented.
"Oh, honey, I am always rude to people 'I don't like'. Lizzie have nothing to do with it."Faye smirked.
Then everyone sat for the meeting.
"St. Anne's has long been neutral ground in our city. So, it's only fitting that we gather in this chamber at the behest of Elijah Mikaelson to bring harmony to this place we call home. Thank you all for coming."Father Kieran began.
Elijah said as he tears the document in half " Yes, thank you for coming. And welcome. These are the rules of the city according to Marcel Gerard. Which, of course, no longer apply, because I'm in charge."
"You said that if we came along, that we would get to run things by ourselves. Never mentioned anything about making yourself king."Diego grunted.
Elijah continued, his tone is calm and collective "Well, you were each selected to represent your own communities. In our honor, however, any issues that arise between factions, it will come to me. Now, we are all responsible for the current chaos in the city. However, you have one very, very simple choice ahead of you here: you can all play nicely together, or you can leave."
Diego's booming voice then said "This is our city, too! We should be able to go wherever the hell we want!"
Genevieve rolled eyes, her voice raising higher than Diego's as she looked towards Elijah at the head of the table "We would consider it an act of war!"
"We're getting nowhere. You vile creatures cannot agree."Kieran's tone turned venomous, his stature becomes more frail, skin turning pale as he slow comes to a stand from his seat.
Elijah shouted them all into silence "Father! Calm yourself, please. Thank you. Now returning to the issue of boundaries, you will all heed to the following..."
"Are you serious?"The furious voice of Hayley causes everyone to turn, facing the entrance when an angry Hayley stands, glaring over to Elijah.
She then added "You're dividing up the city, and the werewolves don't even get a say?"
Diego angrily stands up, pointing towards Hayley as he said "What the hell is she doing here?"
" Diego, sit. We are not dividing the city. We're establishing boundaries..."Elijah demanded without his stare leaving Hayley, he comes to a stand.
Hayley raises her voice, cutting Elijah off from continuing "No, Elijah! There is not gonna be a peace if the werewolves are excluded. They want a seat at the table. And if they don't get one, I can guarantee that you will all regret it."
Later on, Lizzie was with Klaus. The Original turned to her, pressing a kiss to her lips. Then he pulled away and continued to his painting.
Cami walked into the room.
" I saw the light from the courtyard and took a chance."Cami announced as she caught sight of the two, smiling down at Lola.
"Cami!"Lizzie smiled, hugging her.
Cami hugged back.
"Do you need something Camille?"Klaus questioned at a clib, an irritated tone laced in his voice.
"From you? No."Cami told him, turning to the siphon girl who sat on the couch as she said "I came to see you actually."
"How can I help you?" Lizzie asked.
"I'm here about my uncle. He's deteriorating. The pills, the meditation, they're not working. His lucidity's shrinking by the day. A witch did this, I was hoping maybe you could undo it." Cami told Lizzie with a deflated sigh.
Lizzie sighed, brushing her hair from her face as she, looked at Cami with genuine sencerity "I'm sorry, bit I've already tried, it'll only be worse. By now, the hex would've taken root and altered the brain. There's nothing I can do anymore."
" I refuse to accept that, and you would, too, if you had any concept of family."Cami snapped.
"You don't not anything about me, Cami! I did everything for my family. So I understand the concepts of family. I'm just telling you the truth. Not my fault you can't face the truth."Lizzie shot back.
Cami scoffed and left.
Not long after, Klaus was now on his balcony, looking out at the city, before returning to his room, grabbing a paintbrush, and returning to his artwork. He finds Elijah and Lizzie standing in front of his painting.
"Not a fan of cerulean blue?" Klaus asked.
"Not a fan of your continued indifference." Elijah responded.
"Well, it's difficult trying to unite a community that has a history of mutual loathing." Klaus stated.
"Spare me the platitudes, Niklaus." Elijah told him.
"A perspective, then? If you want peace, you must begin with the werewolves. A hundred years ago, they had a run at ruling this city. As of late, all they've had is time to watch their enemies tear down that legacy." Klaus said.
"All the more reason why their enemies are reluctant to bring them to the table." Elijah reminded.
"Take a page from Bienville, brother. If the table's the obstacle, remove it. Do you recall in 1720, the Governor's desperation to secure our help to build the cities first levees? We sat with him, and refused his offer, and so, he plied us with wine, with corseted women, and with raucous camaraderie until he had his yes." Klaus said, squeezing his shoulder before he poured them both drinks.
"Are you suggesting that I throw a party?" Elijah smiled.
Elijah and Klaus toast each other and drink.
Lizzie found it weird since well, Klaus didn't actually give a dam about the wolves and the whole point of the wolves involved.
