For years, families worldwide do easter egg hunting; a tradition where the parents hide eggs filled with candy or toys and then watch their children search for the missing treat. Although this is mostly common in America, did you know that this tradition originated long ago?

It is speculated that Germany was the first country to do Easter Egg Hunting in the 16th century. The historical value is also a major part of Eater. The protestant, Martin Luther, used to organize egg hunts for his congregation. Soon enough, it became a tradition for the men in the family to set up the egg hunt and let the mother and her children search for the eggs. This also became a popular event amongst Christians because one of the many inspirations of egg hunting is women opening the empty tomb of Jesus Christ.
