she looked up, softly caressed his cheek, and smiled.

"it's enough now, my darling colton."

and then it was enough.

SUMMARY

colton is living his best life. he works at the ministry of magic, has a beautiful wife, and a child-to-be. one day, his wife gets in a car accident. her lower body is paralyzed and their unborn child is killed. devastated, he begs the people at st. mungo's and searches for other people to help, but they can't. he must adjust to life with his wife in a wheelchair. after a few years, emma dies of cancer. colton must find a way to become whole again, and fill the holes in his heart.

NOTES

-this is kind of based off of a book i read, a man called ove. (it's really really good. go read it)

-i want a couple chapters at the beginning that radiate pure joy and show how happy they are

-the accident should be very traumatizing! go into detail. show me how devastated they are when they find out emma will never be able to walk again and their child is dead

-colton goes everywhere and begs for them to fix her with magic, or muggle medicine but there is no way

-once they reach rock bottom, have them slowly start to adjust. emma reassures colton that things will be okay and life will move on

-the cancer should also be devastating! it's a sad story guys

-it must take a long time for colton to heal himself after emma dies. you get to decide how he overcomes his grief

-colton and emma are the names of two crushes i kinda have o o p s (you can change them if you don't like them)
