SUMMARY
Charlotte Leclerc didn't let anyone tell her what to do; she knew what she wanted and she always got it. The only thing she hated more than begin told what to do and being looked down on, was Christopher Elgin.
Christopher Elgin liked having the attention on himself, he liked to flirt with girls. He used his good looks and sweet words to charm girls into his the palm of his hand.
Charlotte knew about Christopher and his friends' antics but she never paid any attention. She loathed the fact that these boys thought they could toy with other people feelings. But when Charlotte overhears Christopher's next "victim", as Charlotte likes to call them, she is shocked to see that it is Ruby, her best friend.
Not wanting to see her best friend's heartbroken, Charlotte investigate and research. She discovers that Christopher and his friends aren't the only ones who think girls are inferior to boys. She comes across the word feminism and starts reading more about it. Quickly, Charlotte proudly wore the term feminism everywhere she went, but the harm was already done and Charlotte's best friend heart was broken.
She started to confront Christopher and his friends about the way there were acting but it didn't stop them. It only made it worse as Christopher began to, on purpose, make Charlotte mad to see her reaction, telling her feminist is ridiculous and it's only about girls whining.
Charlotte took it upon herself to teach Christopher and other students what feminism was really about.
NOTES
- Feminism is the equality between genders, having the same opportunities
- so Christopher (Chris) is a womanizer like his friends. he is popular and lots of girls like him
- So basically Christopher is anti-feminism and Charlotte is very angry at the world and that no one talks about feminism (even women). During the story, Charlotte tries to educate people and make them realizes that Feminism means equality of genders and not girls being better than men.
- In the end, something will happen and Christopher will realize what feminism is really about and he will fight for feminism alongside Charlotte but by doing so, he will lose his friends because they treat women as an object. It won't be easy for him to accept the change within him.
-The two of them fights a lot! And of course in the end, they end together but Christopher has to change before Charlotte start to like him.
- At one point towards the end, Charlotte could be in an argument with Christopher's friend and he would take her side in the argument and she would know he changed.
- The two main ocs are a year younger than Harry and his friends
- Christopher is in Gryffindor and Charlotte is in Slytherin. They aren't friends with the golden trio or Ginny or Malfoy or anything.
- Ruby is in Slytherin too and she is naive and likes Christopher at the beginning of the story so when he starts to show interest into her she jumps into his arms even though Charlotte told her to beware
- The story happens when they are 15 so during the Half-Blood Prince and for the Deathly Hallows you can decide how the story is gonna unfold, but Charlotte has to remain an advocate for feminism
- The quote is from the song take a hint from the victorious because it is a serious feminist anthem!
