SUMMARY

Adelaide and James were inseparable; they did everything together. Both of them would ponder of their future; how they would be sorted in the same house at Hogwarts, how they would work at the same place, how they would be neighbor when they grew up.

They were hopeful but then Adelaide was sorted into Ravenclaw while James was sorted into Gryffindor. Both of them feared they would stop being friends but strangely enough, they remained friends like when they were a child.

While Adelaide was more laidback and reserved, James started to get more attention. In no time James' charms began to attract most of the girl in school and Adelaide wasn't an exception. She knew James only saw her as a friend so she tried to not get her hopes up but it's easier said than done and Adelaide can't help but be jealous of all the girls James flirted with.

After coming back from a trip abroad from the summer and having gotten over James, or at least that's what she thinks, Adelaide starts up the new school year with a new mindset. She encounters the charming Matthew and soon she starts dating him. James, as Adelaide's best friend, can't help but feel protective over and somehow jealous of Matthew.

James realizes that he has a crush on Adelaide but is it too late to be with her?

- both of them are very angsty, Adelaide, when James was flirting with other girls, was jealous but never told him and told her other ravenclaw best friend and sometimes she was bitter towards James (and he was clueless why she acted like this). For James, he becomes jealous and angsty and Adelaide starts dating Matthew.

-Adelaide went on a summer holiday abroad to stop thinking of James romantically
