Carrie Fisher who portrays Princess Leia was almost cut out of Stars Wars and from her role as Leia. So originally Mark Hamill who portrays Luke Skywalker, the director George Lucas was going to make Luke look like a girl for Leia. This changed for many reasons. One reason why. It wouldn't turn out well and the plot would be everywhere!
