I opened my eyes slowly, wishing that I just could've stayed sleeping instead of getting up and facing the world

Everything seems so damaged and wrong in a depressing way, how in a small amount of time can actually get you so much negativity?

The ugly side of the world is coming to life, and I thought it was perfect. And...as I said before, people here and there are deceived from the blessings they see instead of seeing the absolute truth.

It reminds me of an old tale that was used to be said in the place where I grow up.

It was called 'the naked truth and the lie'

It was told that 'the Truth' and 'the Lie' met on the road one day. The Lie said to the Truth: "It's a marvelous day today"! The Truth looked up to the skies and sighed, for the day was really beautiful.

They walked together for a while, until they reached a beautiful well. The Lie told the Truth: "The water in the well is very nice, let's take a swim together!" The Truth, once again suspicious, tests the water and discovers that it indeed, is very nice.

They undress and start the bath. Suddenly, the Lie jumped out of the well, put on the clothes of the Truth and runs off towards a nearby village. The furious Truth leaps out of the well and ran to find the Lie and get her clothes back. The Villagers, seeing the 'Naked Truth', were horrified and look away with contempt and rage.

The poor Truth returned to the well and disappeared, forever, hiding her shame. And since that day, 'the Lie' travels the world, clothed as 'The Truth'.

And as I was first, not being able to look at the truth of this world, I discovered the lie, and got enchanted with it.

Because somehow, I know that if I didn't come here Caroline wouldn't have died, and because of me, somehow I know that I wouldn't get intoxicated, and I know that I would never have gotten to discover the other side of people, like Caleb's sudden outburst, and how the guards of the White House shoot Caroline without a second thought.

But again, I wouldn't have met Josephine and Caleb if I didn't come here. I wouldn't have a family like this to care for me.

Is everything is so confusing or is it just me?

What else would I discover to come?

Everything is a mess that's even unbearable to think about it, or solving it.

Do I want to return back home? Have I really changed that much?

I got up from my bed, and decided to take a shower, it always helps me think probably.

But the relaxation of the warm water hitting my skin was making me unable to think in anything matter.

After the shower I wore some dark blue jeans and a black T-shirt and just sat on the bed, with nothing on my mind, with nothing for me to do.

What happened to Caleb in the past?

The question couldn't stop from playing itself over and over again in my mind, curiosity was killing me.

But...I think that even that 'curiosity killed the cat and satisfactory brought her back', I will wait till he willingly tell me if you wanted.

I decided that even some 'problems' had occurred now, I think I should now go figure out the diamond to go back to my crappy old life.

Yay...

I got up and exited my room and knocked on Josephine's bedroom room door three times.

I heard a faint come in, that's when I entered

"What's up?" She said nervously looking at me

"Hey" I said awkwardly

We kept staying in silence for too long, awkwardness was suffocating me.

"So..." I began "I think I'm ready to check out the diamond now"

She nodded, and got up from her bed spot. I watched her opening a small box on her night stand then came out with a smaller box which she handed it to me.

My eyes kept gazing on the box for a second, until I opened it, to find the diamond is still there with its shining sparkles.

Josephine was standing next to me, glaring at the diamond trying to figure it out. My hands rose up to the box unsure if I could touch it or not, my finger was laid on it carefully, as if it could break it, my other parts of my hand started to hold it up, it's ultimate sparkles shone across my eyes.

"Well, that's...it?" I asked Josephine the same second Caleb entered

"Wha-" He started the same moment

The diamond came to life, flying in the air.
