'Marjorie' in evermore by Taylor Swift is honestly such a beautiful song. I love how it is such a wonderful tribute to Taylor's grandmother and I think we all think of our loved ones when we listen to this. I'd like to personally dedicate it to a small boy with cancer I knew, as well as Cameron Boyce. Don't feel sorry, please. I'm glad they lived a wonderful life and I know I'll never forget them.

I thought I'd write something with Cedric along with the song. His death was shocking and so sudden that most of us are still not over it. To listen to the song while reading: slide right on the pic above. Also just a trigger warning, it's sad and speaks about death.

Alright so, this isn't an imagine exactly with a character x Cedric.

It's more of like a tribute to one of the greatest Hufflepuffs. The one who was taken too soon..

Do you guys remember the first time we read about this 'Cedric Diggory'? This perfect pretty-boy type that we fell in love with without even realizing it?

A handsome face and an adorable personality. The author addressed his good lucks so much yet it was always mentioned that he always, always,  had that charming smile on his face..

We blushed along with Cho and well sometimes, Hermione, whenever he was shown in the movies.

I'd think you were talking to me now

Little did we know. That the pure soul wasn't meant to stay..

If I didn't know better

It pierced our hearts to read those lines. Those lines which just made him disappear from the world just in a few words. In just a few moments...

I'd think you were still around

We cried, we yelled, we protested. It couldn't happen. It shouldn't.

Yet, it did: he died.

And as cruel as those words are, it was the plain truth. He was gone. But was he really?

Be honest, did you not make up scenarios in your head where he would magically come back? Magic. Isn't that what Harry Potter is all about anyway? So could a boy, so magical at heart, just be gone?

And yet, we refused to give up hope. This small sparkle of hope fueled us to think Dumbledore or someone, anyone, would bring him back. Because he was alive still for us.

So goddamn alive. He wouldn't just leave us crestfallen like that, would he?

Oh, we laughed at the irony. Crying over just a book character? Someone's who isn't even actually alive in the first place? But no.. Cedric wasn't a simple book character.

He was so much more magical. What was he then, you ask? He was exactly that.

He was magic.

Remember when Fleur even used her veela influence on him to ask him to the Yule Ball? And yet he was powerful enough to refuse because he had already promised Cho. Even if Fleur was the girl everyone wanted to go with, Cedric Diggory wouldn't do that to Cho.

Never wield such power, you forget to be polite

His good looks and reputation preceded him.  And yet, he always remained grounded. We would never forget how Diggory asked to restart an entire Quidditch match just because he thought it was unfair Harry was distracted by Dementors.

All of that. All that purity and virtuousness had to guarantee him at least 40 years right..?

I'd think you were listening to me now

Maybe he's watching over us right now. Maybe..?

I mean, we can hope that he is. It's all we can do to calm ourselves.

Or maybe we can just pretend. Pretend nothing happened and he was maybe snogging Cho in the corridor or drinking butterbeer with the rest of the Puffs.

As much as we despise Cho through the series, we couldn't imagine what the girl had to go through.

He wasn't dead. No. So she cried her tears out, had emotional breakdowns, and gulped nervously even at the sound of his name.

We whimpered along with her every single time he was mentioned again. Still, still, knowing he had to come back. And he would, right?

What about his father, Amos?? The way he rushed over when Harry brought him back?

Oh and that part in the book where Amos was talking on and on about Cedric's accomplishments to the Weasleys. Cedric would wave him off with pink-tinted cheeks like the modest boy he was.

But he shouldn't have been.

We should have appreciated him.. while we still could.

The autumn chill that wakes me up

And we turned the page after the scene -oh you know which one- and read ahead. Chilled to the spine of this sudden occurrence.

You loved the amber skies so much

All his happiness, his glory, him was *poof* gone.

Long limbs and frozen swims

He was tall, a prefect, Quidditch captain, seeker, and a true Hufflepuff.

You'd always go past where our feet could touch

Heck, he was so much kinder than well, everyone. He helped Harry solve the clue even if they were rivals.

And I complained the whole way there

Harry complained. We did too. It wouldn't have been a fair choice.

The journey back and through the maze

But to him, it didn't matter if it was fair. It was kind..

I should've asked you questions

We should have asked how does one have such a golden heart?

I should've asked you how to be

How is he so wonderful? So bright?

Asked you to slow it down for me

Maybe if we should have just asked him to slow down, so we could fully realize his greatness.

Should've never turned the pages

Every more turn of paper just made us more torn.

'Cause every scrap of you would be taken from me

Because he wasn't coming back. Not now. Not ever.

Watched as you signed your name 'Diggory'

Getting up from the Hufflepuff table, he signed up for the tournament and yet never returned from it.

All your closets of backlogged dreams

Oh, he could have been a warrior, a healer, a dragon-tamer, a herbologist, anything! He could have had it all.

And how you left them all to us

And now it's our turn to read and conjure up all those preferences, imagines, and one-shots for him. To keep him alive in writing.

All for him to smile and to laugh.. once again.

But then again, just because 'its all happening inside our heads, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?'

but he's still around. And always will be. Maybe not in the books. Or  in the movies.
