FACT #1: Inspirations and Influences
Here is what influenced and inspired "The Hunters Trilogy":
Major influences and inspirations:
The Ruined series by Wattpad user @Mander_Pander . This series is amazing, and it served as a major inspiration and influenced of my series, "The Hunters."
Attack on Titan (both anime and manga) by Hajime Isayama. Fact: When I first started watching the anime, I practically binge-watched it within two days, and I was filled with inspiration. This work also played a role in my series. I would actually call my series "Attack on Jekyll and Hyde"!
Smaller, though important, influences and inspirations:
The 100 on The CW. Using a post-apocalyptic, post-nuclear world with a hint of space travel, "black bloods," and a certain Reyes character influenced my series.
Terra Nova from Fox. Hints of the show, such as breathing in fresh air compared to heavily polluted air served as influence.
The concept of a double-personality within one body from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson served as influence and inspiration for the Hunters/Natives.
Becoming Human by another Wattpad user @elizagreenbooks . I have yet to read her entire series on Amazon, but it definitely served as an inspiration for colonizing another planet already populated by a humanoid species.
Current and past events on racism. No, there is no "one person's color against another person's color" in this series, but it does bring up a different type of racism: One type of human species against another type of human species.
What other influences and inspirations you'll expect to see in the next two books:
Tokyo Ghoul (the first season of the anime). Apparently I got eyes of the Hunters/Natives down without even knowing it. After watching the anime, I'm already gaining inspiration.
The Vampire Diaries on The CW. No, no one will be ghouls, vampires, and werewolves in this trilogy. But the next major theme of this series will be when certain characters fear themselves because they're, in their own eyes, "monsters."
iZombie on The CW. Look at the reason above me. And no, there are no zombies in this story unless you want to consider the former Undergrounders as "zombies" because of their appearance, go ahead.
Werewolf stories about cruel, cold-hearted, strong alpha male werewolves on Wattpad. Hint: It's not a boy that will be this way. ;)
The people that helped shape and mold the Gen-Mods:
@starlightt for her story that started it all: Superior.
There also another book both here on Wattpad and on Amazong. I remember the first part of the title was "Designed." I can't remember who the author was, and apparently I can't find it on either site. But still, it was another story that helped shaping my Gen-Mods in my story.
@Sparkelz_NoSpark , @xwriting_addictionx , and @HalloweenFreaky for the RPs concerning Gen-Mods. Though all four of us never RPed together (the first two I RPed with them, and the latter I'm currently RPing with), they all helped made the Gen-Mods in my series the way they are now.
I think that's all I can think of. This is Fact #1!
