"Hey neighbor," You look back at Kid as he smirks.
"Hey Kid." You greet turning back to him.
"Whatcha up to?" He asks.
"Gonna get ready for a cook out, Smoker says having people over is good. Wanna come in?" You inquire. He nods taking the key from your hand and opening the door.
"I noticed that guy has been staying here, you're not being a bad girl are ya?" He teases with a wink.
"I'm not. He's just moving in because he doesn't think I'm taking good care of myself." You answer going past won the groceries.
"Good it's about time someone did it." He comments closing the door behind you. "You lost all your spunk after everything." He says as you start to put away the food.
"I'm still spunky." You object. He raises an eyebrow and smirks.
"Still short too." He hums.
"I'm not short you giant fire hydrant!" You snap back. He chuckles and comes over looming over you. You blanch and shift a bit looking up at him. The gold shimmer from his key glints in his Amber gaze, making them appear golden briefly. He places a hand on your head.
"Still short." He repeats. You blush and puff your cheeks at that.
"You're short." You grumble turning away and starting on the food for the cook out. He chuckles, but soon starts to help you. You smile a bit. You and Kid didn't talk to each other often. But when you did hangout, you felt calm and relieved to have him there.
"Where's your pendant?" He asks as you both work on the meats.
"On my dresser... Why? Did you want to try your key? You don't often carry it with you." You murmur. He shifts and tilts his head.
"I did. I've been thinking about it alot lately." He admits. You stop and look at him. "We've been neighbors for a long time. Nowadays whenever I see you, you just look so... Lonely..." He phases out briefly and starts to blush as he blinks back. "Tch not that I like you or anything! It's just-" You kiss his cheek and he freezes.
"I have such a cute neighbor." You chuckle.
"I AM NOT!" He objects red faced.
"The cutest!"
"I'll kick your ass!"
"I'll kick your ass."
"Don't mock me!"
You smirk, giggling lightly while he scowls at you. He relaxes after a bit and smiles putting a hand on your head.
"You're a pain in the ass, I'm gonna go unlock your pendant now." He rumbles going to your room. You shake your head turning back to the food. After a little bit you hear him curse before coming back in. "Well, that's a kill joy..." He sighs.
"That's too bad. I think it would be interesting to have you as a boyfriend." You comment. He blushes lightly and smiles thoughtfully.
"Scoot over, I'll show you how to marinate this!" He rumbles.

"And then everything caught fire." You conclude as Law dabs over your burns.
"Is your house still intact?" He inquires curiously.
"Yeah, it was only the kitchen, but I can't be there while they're cleaning it up." You sigh.
"Staying with Zoro?" He guesses.
"He did offer but.. I think I'll try to find another place to stay." You blush. He hums as he finishes.
"Well these burns need to be taken care of, and seeing as you're dumb enough to let that guy help you cook then I suppose I have no choice but to open our guest room to you." He sighs. Your eye twitches and you jump up.
"Like hell! I'm not staying with--" He pokes your burn and you whelp pulling away and sniffling. "Why do you have to be so mean...."
"Then it's settled. Let's go get your things."
