          Hikari is new to the Okinawa International Academy, and though he should've been excited, nervous, and maybe a little terrified, to start, he was preoccupied by something else. The whole reason Hikari even wanted to attend OIA was because his older brother went there, and always raved about how much fun he had there; however, now, Hikari can't remember a thing about his brother except his name. He can't find any pictures of him, any evidence that he ever even existed, just a letter he sent him during his last semester, signed by him.

           Hikari needs to find someone else who at the very least recognized his brother's name, and would help him figure out what happened to him, and why he was seemingly erased from existence.

Nicholas Kim-Roth was something of an anomaly. Top student of the graduating OIA class, he often kept his head down and stuck to himself. He was rarely seen in the light of day, or in the dimly lit parties after dark, really the only place you could count on finding him was in the lecture halls. Though, he didn't really look much like your average honor roll student. His hair was always a mess, and he never wore anything nicer than a hoodie and sneakers, and there were always bags under his eyes like he never actually slept.

      And yet, somehow, the one person he spoke to on campus was Felix Walker. That wouldn't be all that strange normally, Felix was extremely popular. He was tall, attractive, and decently charming, and everyone flocked to him like moths to a flame, but it was rare for him to go out of his way to interact with someone, especially someone like Nick. And to say Felix Walker was your only friend was sort of a paradox in itself: wouldn't being friends with the most well liked guy on campus practically guarantee that you're also well liked?

      Maybe Nick kept it that way on purpose. Maybe he liked not having to deal with the upkeep of relationships, and having only one friend made it easier. Or, maybe it was because he was the exact opposite of what you'd expect him to be when you were actually gifted a conversation. If you were to hear him speak to a professor, it would be with utmost politeness and respect, then on his walk back from the desk, his eyes would roll so hard you could see the whites of his eyes. Anytime he was near Felix, his head was always lowered, eyes covered by long, dark hair, but a lopsided grin was always present in his snarky whispers to the other boy.

      He and Felix were practically inseparable when they actually had the chance to be together, like a mutually beneficial relationship. Nick released all of his built up emotions to Felix, and..well, we're still trying to figure out what Felix got out of the friendship. Though, when a parasite named Kit tries to worm its way between them, Nick's jealousy grows more apparent and he's bound to squish the ant under his shoe if it was the last thing he did.

     If Nicholas was the anomaly, Nell was a mere figment of imagination. There wasn't anything particularly special or extraordinary about her; she was average in school, she had switched majors a handful of times, and honestly she only applied to the Okinawa International Academy so she could be with her brother. She had always followed him, not out of fear or dependence, but because she admired him and wanted to be just like him. She wasn't entirely sure what that entailed, but she thought he was the best person she'd ever met and ever would meet.

    There was one thing Nell was that Nick wasn't; kind. And not the sort of nice where you said good morning to everyone because you felt like you had to, or invited everyone to your birthday party so no one felt left out. The alternative options didn't even cross her mind, she just did the kind thing. She was akin to a bunny rabbit in a field or the first rays of sunlight after a cloudy day, and those were far and few. She didn't try to be nice, she just was, naturally.

      It made her likeable, too likeable that it would take framing her for a murder to make people dislike her. No one could ever be held to a higher regard than her, and that was an issue. It was an even bigger issue given that she seemed to be a tag along to George Agreste. She finds him at her dorm room door often, usually with wounds that need cleaned that he never explains, and she never asks about.

              Felix is used to getting what he wants, when he wants. He's an only child, and his parents spoiled him because of it. He's a heartthrob that doesn't think much of his 'relations', and lives a very carefree life. He finishes assignments when he feels like it, and often finds himself more caught up in staring at a piece of architecture with a smoking cigarette in between his lips. Felix and Nick have been best friends since secondary school, when Felix took a random chance on befriending the kid that no one talked to. Felix is somewhat oblivious to Nick's obvious, long-standing crush on him, and often brushes it off as Nick's unconventional personality.

           Yuyu, or Daiyu, is the lead rapper of IM-PULSE, a four person Kpop group with international fame. Being the most popular member, love and adoration came to Daiyu with a heavy price. After an incident with a stalker, Daiyu decided to take a hiatus and sought refuge in Okinawa International Academy to fulfill her dream in songwriting and composition. However, she had to follow a few rules set for her from Kido Entertainment: maintain a good diet, continue to write songs for the company, and don't get into a relationship.

           Daiyu would've followed all the rules if she didn't fall in love with Sun-Hi at first sight.

tae-ho ryu*

           Tae-Ho is known to be far more 'digestible' than his sister, though his affinity is towards animals and insects rather than other people. He is more of a shut in and has far less social interactions than his sister, and maybe that's why people find him easier to withstand. He is a veterinarian student and often volunteers at the clinic in his spare time. He is deaf and uses sign language to communicate, though he has also learned how to read lips for the sake of those that don't know how to sign.

            As student body president, Sun-Hi holds her title and responsibilities extremely high. She may come across very uptight and reserved, some might even say cold, but she has a live, beating heart under her hard shell. She prides herself on being able to pick out liars, what with being a law student. Sun-Hi is the older twin of her and Tae-Ho, another feat that she takes seriously; she puts her brother above herself, but doesn't have many relationships past him. One that she does have, though, is one that she might not particularly desire.

           Daiyu Zhu, a student a year younger than Sun-Hi, seems to have some sort of infatuation or— Sun-Hi would never admit it — a crush on the student body president. She also seems to find Sun-Hi and pester her to no end, and while Sun-Hi finds her to be a nuisance most of the time, she can feel her unfriendly exterior cracking around her.

Isidore was born to loving mothers in a welcoming household that always raised them to be their true, authentic self. Of course, the older they got, that mindset started to stop working. Isidore was often picked on or isolated due to their eccentric personality and interests, and therefore never had many, if any, close friends. Still, they feel connected to people very quickly, and often dismiss being disliked with humor even though it hurts. Isidore wants nothing more than for the people they like to like being around them.

They're a psychology student that performs hypnosis as an almost party trick, though they allude to it similarly to getting a fortune told. Isidore also enjoys giving tattoos, and listening to rock music. They're rather unserious, overly friendly, and hates following the rules.
