Mrs Grace Daniels was so down, that she couldn't sleep. Being bothered by Kiana's condition was keeping her up at night

She began praying "God please help my baby. Please help her get past whatever challenges she has faced" and started sobbing

Her sobs woke her husband up "Darling what's the matter again?" She kept on crying

"Please talk to me, is it about Kiana?"
She nodded and he drew her close to comfort her

"Ethan, I can't take it anymore. I wonder how much pain she's harbouring right now. She's only fifteen, I wish I could take all her pains away and make her that bubbly child she used to be"

"I know honey, I know. It breaks my heart to see her that way and it hurts that even after those monsters are suffering for their sins right now, it still hasn't made her better. All we can do is keep praying for God to intervene "

She nodded and wiped her face "Yes and I know he will. Thanks for always been so supportive "

He chuckled and hugged her tight "of course hon, if I'm not,  who will?"

They turned off the light and tried to sleep, when a shrill came from Kiana's room.

They scrambled out of bed to know the cause.

Rushing into Kiana's room, they met her hugging herself and trembling. Grace quickly rushed to her side to hold her.

But she started screaming "no.. nooo!! Please make it stop... no they're coming"

Grace was already in tears and was trying to calm her daughter down, with Ethan beside her

"Baby please listen to me, listen to my voice. It's just a nightmare, calm down"

Kiana was still shaking with tears on her face "you don't understand, they will hurt me. Please get me out of here"

Her dad kept on whispering soothing words to her and rubbing her back. Grace ran out of the room cause she couldn't bear seeing her daughter in that state anymore.

After a while, Kiana's tantrums reduced and in no time, she was put to sleep. Ethan sighed... that was something

Ethan left to look for his wife and met her at the patio weeping heavily. He went over to her and hugged her, he never wished for all these to happen. He never thought his family will be in this state.

After a while, he noticed his wife calmed down and sighed. She looked up  at him "She needs to see her therapist tomorrow, maybe she can talk to her about her nightmares" Grace suggested

Ethan nodded his head, agreeing with her. After some time of dwelling in each other's comfort, they headed to their room and called it a night.

"Morning mom... Morning Dad" Kiana said as she took her seat at the dining table

Her mom looked worried "Morning baby, how do you feel now? Did you sleep okay?"

Kiana nodded her head stiffly "uhhh... about yesterday, I'm sorry if I got you worried"

Her dad sighed "it's fine dear, do you want to talk about it"

Kiana didn't want to, she couldn't even if she tried. No one knew what she went through, they only knew she was abused... "uhh... nothing to really worry yourselves about"

"Honey, why won't we worry? We're your parents, it's our right and our job to be worried about you. So please, I say again. If you need to talk, we're here okay?" Her mom said

She gave a small smile and nodded. Kiana already made up her mind this morning that she was going to take the first step. She was going to try school again.

"Mom, dad? I think I'll like to finish high school now"

"Oh my God baby, that's good news. When did you decide this?" Her mom asked

"This morning, I feel I need to atleast try to put my past behind me and figure out what the future has in store for me" she replied

"We're really proud to hear that. We can start searching for schools tomorrow then" her dad said

"Sure dad. Alright I'm done and ready for my session " she said standing up and taking her plate to the kitchen

When she was out of sight her mom squeezed her dad's hand "God is finally listening to us dear"

He nodded and they hugged each other

"Kiana you look happy today, what's the good news?" Mrs Avid asked

She smiled "I've decided to let go of my past and try to move forward"

Mrs Avid looked shocked and her face broke out in a smile "I'm really glad to hear that Kiana. I am happy you've finally realised moving forward is the way. So do you want to talk now?" She asked, her recorder and file already near by

Kiana sighed.... I can do this... She chanted in her head "I am not assuring  you that I'll tell you everything right now. But don't rush me please?"

"Of course dear, please take your time. So you can start now" Mrs Avid replied

"Thank you... Alright it all started two years back when I got admitted into Queens International College"
