"Hanguang Jun.... Ah!" Wei Ying moans against Lan Zhan's neck thrusting his hips and offering more of himself to his husband. All thoughts of burial mounds leaves his mind as the light bearer wraps his fingers around his hard length.

He strokes it a few times increasing the pressure and the pace, whilst bringing their lips together in a deep passionate kiss.

"Er gege! I... I..am... " Wei Ying pants feeling the pressure in his body build. He is about to cum, when Lan Zhan abruptly stops and moves away, breaking the kiss.

Wei Ying follows his husband's lips but finds that the Light bearer has already turned his back on him and walking away.

'Perhaps he has sensed a threat.' Wei Ying wonders. He closes his eyes and tries to concentrate but he doesn't feel anything out of the ordinary.

"Lan Zhan, get back here you Fuddy Duddy and finish what you started. There is no threat." He says walking towards his husband.

"No." Lan Zhan chirps.

"Mn?"

"I know there is no threat." Lan Zhan says, grabbing Wei Ying's spare cloths out of his pouch.

"Then why did you stop? Get back here and get me off." Wei Ying orders.

"No."

Wei Ying grabs hold of Lan Zhan's shoulder and turns him around, "Why?" He asks, looking confused and hurt.

Lan Zhan smiles and cups Wei Ying's face, "Are you hard?"

Wei Ying nods cutely.

"Are you painfully hard?"

Wei Ying nods again and cocks his head to a side, "Why?"

"Good." Lan Zhan says, handing over the spare cloths to his husband, "My sweet misbehaving Wei Ying, now you know how I feel when you touch Wen Ning."

'Is he fucking kidding me right now!?' Wei Ying thinks, before grabbing Lan Zhan's wrist,"Lan Zhan! I was... "

Lan Zhan cuts Wei Ying's words and removes himself from the younger man's grip, "Wei Ying, I told you time and time again not to play with my feelings like that. You know how much it hurts me to see you in someone else's arms.... touching someone else. I tried to look the other way till now. But I can't anymore."

"Lan Zhan, Wen Ning is like a brother to me, I don't..."

"Wei Ying, we are getting late." Lan Zhan says emotionlessly and a look of hurt crosses Wei Ying's face.

'Does it bother him that much?' Wei Ying wonders. He decides to apologize to Lan Zhan later and make it up to him.

There is silence in the room as Wei Ying gets dressed, while Lan Zhan checks to see if they have missed anything before opening the window and leaping out.

A minute or so later, Wei Ying joins the other to men and they start walking towards burial mounds.
No one speaks. The silence is awkward and uncomfortable to say the least.

*Lotus Cove*
*A few hours after Wei Ying and Lan Zhan had left Yunmeng*

Jiang Cheng goes to receive Zewu Jun and Meng Yao at the main gate.

He bows respectfully to Meng Yao and ignores Zewu Jun entirely.

"Clan leader, I see that you are still ignoring me." Lan XiChen says, bowing to Jiang Cheng. Jiang Cheng side-eyes the older Lan and proceeds to give a small bow. All the while, Meng Yao has a satisfied smile on his face.
Jiang Cheng is about to escort the men inside when he sees something that surprises him to the core.

At a distance he can see what looks like carriages with the flags of most of the smaller clans, hoisted on them.
He can't help but stare. His musings are interrupted when Meng Yao gently taps his shoulder and gives him his trademark fake smile, "Oh, Clan leader Jiang, everything happened so fast that I didn't have time to inform you about the impromptu clan leaders meeting.

"Excuse me!?" Jiang Cheng exclaims, unable to hide his surprise.

"Ah yes, you see, I was informed by reliable sources that there is an undead corpses problem that Yunmeng has been facing, now as you already know, your senior brother..." Meng Yao coughs and clears his throat at the furious look Jiang Cheng directs at him, before continuing, "My apologies clan leader, I know you have absolutely nothing to do with the Yiling patriarch. So, as I was saying, this situation is definitely his doing. He is trying to raise an army once again, now that his identity has been revealed."

"What!?" Jiang Cheng exclaims once more. Disbelief clearly visible on his face.

"I see that you were not aware of.... "

"A Yao, " XiChen interrupts, "He can't do that. Wangji would never let him."

Meng Yao directs his most genuine smile at XiChen, "Zewu Jun, of course Wangji would never support such a thing. But even you know how dangerous Yiling patriarch is, it is very much possible for him to enchant and make Hanguang Jun do what he wants. He was even able to deceive you... remember?" Meng Yao says squeezing XiChen's forearm.

Jiang Cheng's eyes get drawn towards and linger where Meng Yao is touching XiChen.

"Clan leader," Jiang Cheng speaks with authority, "What are you proposing to do to get rid of him and the problem?" he asks, once again slipping into his role as someone who hates Wei Ying's guts.

Meng Yao takes his hand off of the senior Lan and walks towards Jiang Cheng, "Clan leader, it will be a while before everyone arrives. There is something of great importance that I need to discuss with you." He says, trying to sound genuine.

Jiang Cheng nods. He calls few of his disciples and instructs them to show the guests to their rooms, XiChen included.

Then he escorts Meng Yao to the council hall. Once both of them are seated and tea has been served, Jiang Cheng speaks, "Clan leader, I am very disappointed in you. I didn't mention it in front of Zewu, but you can't just decide to hold a meeting without informing be before hand."

"Why is that Clan leader, do you not want to get rid of Yiling patriarch? Or perhaps you feel that we should give him a chance to explain himself?" Meng Yao asks, smirking. Like he had expected Jiang Cheng to react this way.

"Ha!" Jiang Cheng laughs sarcastically, "Clan leader, have you forgotten that I was the one to stab him to death in his first life... Anyway, I don't expect you to understand. If there are two people I hate, they are Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji."

"Oh. Is that so, then why do you object to the meeting I have arranged?" Meng Yao asks, with a hint of surprise in his tone.

"Clan leader, unlike Lanling, Yunmeng is small and so is lotus cove." He hesitates before continuing, "It's a secret, but the eastern part of Lotus cove is haunted. We have already had two mysterious deaths. After which, I have given strict instructions to everyone not to go there. Two of my guest rooms seem to be effected. How am I to accommodate guests ?"

A look of disbelief crosses Meng Yao's features, "Still?" he mutters more to himself than to Jiang Cheng.

"Excuse me? What was that?" Jiang Cheng asks looking a little scandalised.

"No, I..I.. mean... why didn't you mention this?" He asks Jiang Cheng stammering a little. 'If Jiang Cheng is to be believed, the demon is still haunting lotus cove... That would mean that Yiling patriarch did not come here... No, not possible. Jiang Cheng must be lying. I need to get to the bottom of this.'

"I did not know about it till the day I returned. I was informed about the unfortunate deaths after I came back. And for something like this to happen here... I thought it best to not bother anyone with it. It's our private matter."

Meng Yao nods understandingly, "Can you please elaborate? Zewu Jun or I can try and help."

"I don't want Lan, entering my home, anymore than he already has. You however are welcome to help." Jiang Cheng says irritatedly. 'That way Zewu Jun will not have to put himself in danger.' Jiang Cheng's mind supplies.

Meng Yao is about to respond when there is a knock on the door.

It's Su She.

He bows respectfully to Meng Yao and  halfheartedly to Jiang Cheng before entering.

"Clan leader Jin, could I have a word with you... alone?" He asks Meng Yao, in a tone full of respect.
