Chapter 11

Kairi landed just outside the village to let the trolls dismount her. As they looked around, lost trolls who had previously been unconscious were starting to wake up, so dazed and confused. They rushed around the village to see if everyone was okay and thankfully, they all recovered quickly.
Aria spotted one troll in particular who was trying to pick himself back up just outside of the village. It was Dusk. She immediately ran over to him to help him.

"Aria?" Dusk was wide-eyed when he saw her coming towards him. She took his hands and helped him stand. The moment he was up, he wrapped his arms around Aria to hug her. "What happened? The last thing I remember was coming to the village to get reinforcements." He rubbed his head, confused about what was happening. "Are you okay?"

"I'm perfectly fine." Aria assured him. "The elves are gone." A smile spread across Dusk's face when he heard the news and he hugged her again, even tighter this time.

"You really did it!" Dusk exclaimed. He felt a rush of excitement from inside him and moved his face closer to Aria's, his lips crashing into her's. Aria's face immediately went red with blush. Dusk snapped out of his trance and realized what he was doing. He pulled away, his face glowing red. "Well that was one way to say thank you." He tried to cover up the awkwardness. Aria grabbed him by his tunic and kissed him back.

"And a way to say 'you're welcome'." She laughed. After the moment, the trolls all started to stare up at the Sana, Akina and Kairi, amazed by their beauty and shocked to finally see them again. One of these trolls was Tala.

"I can't believe it." The chieftain was amazed. "I never thought I would see them in my life." Kairi swooped her wing down to Aria and lifted the small troll off the ground, holding her above the tribe to show that she was the one who saved them. All the lost trolls cheered for Aria. So did Poppy and the others. Aria felt so proud, but deep down, something didn't feel right to her.

"Stop!" Aria shouted. The trolls immediately fell silent. Poppy and Branch looked at Aria, confused as to why she ordered them to stop. "I can't accept this...because I didn't do this by myself." She said as she turned to her friends. She leapt down onto the ground again and grabbed their hands, pulling them towards her and leading them in front of the goddesses. She then turned back to the tribe. "I couldn't have done any of this without these amazing, supportive trolls." Aria grabbed Poppy's hand in her's and smiled at her. "You were right, I couldn't have done this on my own."

"We'll always have each other." Poppy said to everyone before extending her hair and raising it in the air. Branch, Barb, Trollex and Hickory joined, the tip of their hair joined together in the air. Aria cleared her throat, reminding them that she couldn't do that with her hair, but Echo soon got an idea and landed on Aria's hand. Aria lifted her hand in the air with Echo still in her palm, the small orca lifted her tail and pressed it against the weaves of troll hair.

They all laughed before turning back to the crowd of cheering Lost Trolls.
Aria then turned back to the goddesses and knelt down on her knees, lowering her head to bow in front of them.

"Thank you." Aria thanked them. Kairi then lowered her body closer to the ground and Aria pressed her head against the goddess's. They both broke away and Kairi returned with her sisters, they each faced the direction out of the village, ready to leave.

"Please don't disappear for as long as you did." Tala added in a pleasing yet respectful tone. The goddesses gave a reassuring smile to the chieftain and the trolls before each of them turned away. Sana flew up into the sky, Akina ran back into the deep woods and Kairi dove into the vast ocean.
Aria, Poppy, Branch, Barb, Hickory and Trollex all joined together for a group hug, all of them relieved that the elf tribe would no longer harm them. When they broke away, two particular trolls approached them. It was Tarragon and Ash, Aria's father and brother. Aria left the trolls and turned to her family.

"You are just like your mother, you know that?" Tarragon smiled as he hugged his daughter so close. "If she were here, she would be as proud as I am." Aria was then reminded of her spiritual reunion with her mother during their battle.

"I know she would." Aria said, getting slightly emotional. She looked at both her dad and Ash with tearful eyes. Their family was never the same after Alana's death and they became more distant with each other, maybe this was a chance to fix that. "I love you guys." Aria sniffed as she wrapped her arms around them, they returned the hug.
Poppy watched Aria reunited with her family before Branch came up from behind her and wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

"You know, it may be early in the morning, but it is officially Friday." Poppy informed Branch. "Happy anniversary, baby." She hugged him tightly as they both shared a loving kiss.

"I love you so much, Pops." Branch said to her. "I know this isn't the ideal place to have our anniversary, but I'm really happy to be with you."

"I don't care where I am in the world, as long as I'm with you." Poppy confessed to him. It was such a wonderful moment...but then of course Barb butted in.

"How is it possible for you guys to be this adorable and disgusting at the same time?" Barb joked. The two lovebirds rolled their eyes and smiled as Poppy went off with Barb, Hickory and Trollex.

"You coming?" Poppy asked Branch.

"I'll catch up!" Branch assured her, kissing her cheek before she left. He then went over to Aria to ask her something.

"Hey Ari? Could you do me a solid?" Branch asked. "Considering I risked my life to help you on this journey." He joked which made Aria laugh. He then proceeded to whisper in Aria's ear, telling her his plan.

"Under one condition..." Aria said. "No more blowing me out of the sky with fireworks!" Branch went wide-eyed.

"What?!" Branch blurted. "How did you know it was me?"

"You're terrible at hiding it." Aria laughed. Branch rolled his eyes.

"Well can you still help me?" Branch asked.

"You got it." Aria assured him.

After a long journey on the back of Echo, the trolls were finally back at the Troll Kingdom. Tala joined them all, wanting to visit the kingdom again and see the leaders.

They flew around the whole kingdom, dropping each troll off in their rightful place. Barb at Volcano Rock City, Trollex at Techno Reef and Hickory at Lonesome Flats. All that was left was Poppy and Branch and surprisingly, Aria landed them on the outskirts of Pop Village in a familiar clearing. The very one that Aria hid in during their last adventure together.

"I want to thank you for what you did to help us." Tala thanked Poppy and Branch. "Who knows what would happen to us if we didn't have such great friends."

"No troll left behind...well no tribe left behind." Poppy smiled. Tala stepped back and let the three trolls part ways.

"I guess this is where it all started." Aria said, looking around the clearing.

"The start of a great friendship with not only an amazing troll, but an amazing tribe." Poppy said. The three trolls all hugged each other, not wanting to be separated again.

"I wish I could stay for longer, but I hope you guys have a great anniversary." Aria said to the trolls.

"Then don't leave." Poppy begged. "It's so hard to have one tribe of trolls that's so far away from us all." Aria nodded as she lowered her head.

"If we could move here, we would." Aria said. Poppy and Branch looked at each other for a moment, they had a feeling they were both thinking the same thing.

"Well, why don't you?" Branch asked. "The trolls are stronger when we're all together." Aria looked up at the two trolls.

"We love spending time with you, Ari." Poppy assured. "All our tribes do! I've never seen Barb so happy."

"So what are you saying? We leave the Isles permanently and come to live here?" Aria asked, in a curious tone.

"No." Branch answered. "We make a temporary home for you lost trolls here. You don't all have to stay here all the time, but when you do come, you'll have a home and a place to stay. Commuting between homes." Aria didn't know what to say, she loved the idea so much, she couldn't stop smiling.

"We can make it just like the Paradise Isles, there's a huge empty area down by the coast. It would be perfect for you guys." Poppy exclaimed.

"And we can all help build it up." Branch informed. "So what do you say?" Aria looked at Tala, wanting to know if her chieftain would agree.

"But we only have one chieftain." Aria sighed. "And if some members of the tribe would want to stay in the Isles, someone would have to lead them." Tala stepped forward.

"I wouldn't be so doubtful if I were you, Aria." Tala said positively. Aria looked at the chief, confused. "Lost trolls are known to be resilient. But just in case, we still have the guard, I'm sure some of them would be willing to keep everyone in check here too." Aria, Poppy and Branch all looked at each other, excited that Tala was agreeing with their plan.
"And after all, they have you." Tala smiled, Aria went wide-eyed.

"Me? What good could I possibly do to them?" Aria asked, doubtfully. Tala took the young Lost troll's hands.

"You were willing to put yourself at risk and do anything it took to save our tribe." Tala explained. "Even the goddesses saw your leadership and determination. There is no better troll I would want to be my at right hand."

"But Tala...I...can't be a chief." Aria sighed.

"You don't need to be." Tala smiled. "You're a natural-born leader." Aria's smile grew slightly as she couldn't believe what she was hearing. She looked back at Poppy and Branch who both had equally big smiles on their faces, nodding to her. "And when Kairi is by your side once, she will forever stay with you." Tala then looked up at the two pop trolls. "With all of us."

"So...what do you say?" Poppy asked, beaming from ear to ear. Aria looked at Tala for an answer, but all she did was nod. Aria turned back to Poppy.

"We'd love to live with you guys!" Aria agreed, ramming into the two trolls and hugging them close.
