Chapter Seven

"Evelyn?" I heard somebody softly whispered in my ear to wake me up.

I chose to ignore Clayton hoping that he would take a hint and let me sleep.

"Evelyn?" He whispered again.

"Go away." I mumbled.

"Darling it's time to wake up." He whispered.

"No." I said upset.

"Evelyn get up." He said getting annoyed.

I rolled my eyes I didn't feel like him yelling at me so I said "Okay I am up."

"Good because you're meeting my family, and beta today. They're coming over in one hour."

"No I'm not." I mumbled sitting up. "I can't I just don't have anything to wear when I meet them."

"Well while you were sleeping my sister brought over some clothes that you can borrow for now until I take you shopping for some new clothes."

"I don't want to meet them." I replied.

"Too bad for you."

"Please don't make me meet them."

"Evelyn please just cooperate with me. You have to meet them."

"No I don't."

"Evelyn you will meet them if I have to drag you down the stairs to see them. Now go and get ready!" He yelled.

"Okay." I whispered.

After I had finished showering I wrapped a towel around my body tightly and walked into Clayton's bedroom to go and get some clothes when I entered the room I saw an outfit on the bed. But no Clayton I sighed in relief without looking at the clothes I grabbed them and ran to the bathroom before Clayton returned.

When I got into the bathroom I looked at the clothes. Skinny jeans and a plain pink hoodie. I quickly slipped on the clothes and brushed my hair with Clayton's hairbrush. Then I brushed my teeth with my finger because I didn't have a toothbrush yet.

After I finished getting ready I walked out of the bathroom Clayton still wasn't in the bedroom so I walked out of the bedroom slowly. I walked into the hallway when I reached the hall I could hear voices coming from down the stairs. I took some deep breaths before I slowly walked down the steps.

As I reached the bottom of the stairs I followed where I heard the voices from, the living room.

Once I entered the living room the room full of people went completely silent and everybody turned and looked at me.

They all just stared at me.

Nobody moved for a few minutes before Clayton walked over to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder and said "Um everybody this is my mate!"

Suddenly a middle-aged woman came running up to me and she hugged me, she hugged me so hard she almost knocked me over.

"Oh my goodness!" She said happily. "When Clayton told me he had found my mate I didn't believe him at first but here you are! My Clayton has been waiting forever to meet you! And well to be honest I thought he would never find his mate."

I smiled at her not knowing how to respond.

She let go and looked at me "Oh and you're so pretty too! Clayton look how pretty she is! Oh and you're so young too! How old are you dear?"

"Oh um I'm nineteen." I said nicely.

"Oh well you're four years younger than Clayton he's twenty-three years old."

I nodded my head and smiled.

"Okay mom." Clayton said pulling me away from her. "Leave Evelyn alone she's shy."

"So Evelyn that's my mom." Clayton said. He pointed at a middle-aged man "This is my Dad." Next he pointed at three girls two younger ones and one that looked like she was in her teens. "These are my sisters. Arielle the oldest she's 17, Izzie she's nine, and Lena she's four." Next he pointed at the boy sitting on the couch texting "This is my younger brother Hunter he's 17, him and Arielle are twins." He pointed at the guy standing up tall next to Clayton. "And this is my beta and my best friend James."

Everybody smiled at me "And everyone this is Evelyn."
