The day Jake dreaded has come, the day of the darn Gala. His aunt, Queen Rosy, however, did get rid of all of his fake friends' invitations so that's a better start to the day. However, ever since Daisy rejected Jake and still won't talk to him about the heirloom problem, Jake had been getting closer with Hailey once again.

Back in their private school years, Jake was a bully due to his fake friends. Inside, however, he was somewhat jealous of Hailey and Zander. The two were musically talented in every way while Jake can only sing well enough. But singing is more of a "princess" thing and Jake did not want to get bullied for it.

Without Jake knowing, Hailey had a crush on recently, due to their friendship somewhat repairing after the situation happened. Sure it's only Hailey so far but the rest might come around soon enough.

Jake knew that he could find a way to make their night at the gala the best night ever, just to make up for all the horrible things he did before. One of it was getting rid of the problem, his fake friends. They're all just using him for fame and even Zander snapped at him for realising it when it was too late.

Just a few days ago, before the gala started, Jake was writing a letter. A letter to all of the best seamstresses around. He was hoping that it would help the group repair his relationship with the rest of the people he considered as actual friends. Jake tried to get over Daisy too, by requesting her a beautiful matching dress with Sean's attire. The group will look like a group of elites and Jake's real personal close friends.

Now enough with the idiotic prince, let's get going to Zander and Hailey. Hailey's father was walking in, holding a meteorite-size box with a letter on top of it. Zander's mother took the letter from the box and handed it over to Hailey and giving a sly, snake-like, wink.

"Mother, who is this letter for?" Hailey asked, looking up at her mum who just smiled as if she knew everything that was going on. Hailey decided to open up the scroll to see a letter to her, from Jake himself.

Dear Hailey,

After everything you've told me, I have a feeling that you guys should come to the gala since you are on the invitation list after all. Come to my place on the night of the gala, Drew and those idiots won't be there to harass you and your friends, don't worry. Also, invite Daisy along too, she'll be surprised with what I have...

Hailey shook her head while a small smile appeared on her face. She thought that Jake was trying to impress Daisy again and decided to continue reading.

...either way, I'm sure that my dearest friends would love what I have for you all. I would get you a replacement heirloom but it doesn't have the sentiment the original item had. To this day, I still can't get over about all the mistakes I had done to you and your brother. I still wish that I could reverse time like that old book, "The Time Machine." I wish you all to attend and I had sent similar letters to the rest of your friends except Daisy since she would probably tear it apart.

The day of the gala arrived and Hailey met up with all her friends and her stepbrother, at Jake's place. When they arrived there, there were many guards in front, presumably trying to keep "intruders" out. The guards attempted to stop them before Jake came out of the door, stopping the guards. He gave a sad smile and motioned the group to follow him, to a certain special room.

The room was full of dresses and suits, all ready for the rest of the group. Many that looked like it was commissioned to their liking, favourite colours, sizes, patterns and such. Jake stood at the centre of the room sheepishly. He specifically asked the rest of the group for their sizes so he could send them to the seamstresses and get his order done in time.

"Wait..did you do this just for us?" Daisy asked, tilting her head with curiosity. Jake sighed, despite his heart aching, he knew it was for the better.

"Yeah, I even got you and your boyfriend matching outfits," Jake replied winking, making Daisy's face turn into a tomato. Sean also blushed quite a bit causing the rest of the group to smirk at the two.

"So I hope you guys appreciate it, I'm not asking for forgiveness since I don't deserve it..." Jake trailed off for a bit making the others look at each other. Sure, what Jake has done to them was unforgivable but everyone deserves a second chance. It was Hailey who decided to speak up.

"Jake, I'm glad you did this for us. You even gave Daisy a special invitation from the Queen herself, I have to say that it is impressive. You may have done bad things but we're all human, we should get second chances. Just one, second chance though." Hailey replied, making the rest of the group nod. It seemed that Jake's face was turning somewhat red from embarrassment but he smiled and motioned the group to look at the outfits.

Everything was ready, the group got into their perfect outfits and everything was going well. Sean and Daisy were lost in their world while dancing happily on the dance floor. Many were sitting in their places and you could hear Zoey's jealousy from outside that Millicent got in but she did not.

Jake decided to go sit at the garden, his favourite place ever since he was a child to look at the stars. The stars were beautiful, like the love of his life's eyes...only for her to be taken. Jake couldn't handle it but if it means his love is happy, he is happy. Hailey noticed that Jake has been missing for a while and separated from the group to search for him.

Jake was sitting under the stars, hoping that one day, Daisy might return his feelings but he knew better. He doesn't want to be like Drew, who gets everything he wants because of money and have an arranged marriage with a woman like Zoey. Hailey noticed a beautiful rose garden, the Queen's favourite flowers and there were multiple benches. She quickly noticed Jake sitting down on one of the benches, looking at the stars.

Hailey walked silently like a mouse to her 'friend' and sat beside him, making Jake look up in surprise. Hailey wasn't sure what to do since her dress might get all dirty but, she doesn't care. She noticed the sadness in Jake's eyes and wanted to get rid of it for a bit.

"Hey, Jake...I notice you haven't been feeling the best lately and I'm concerned, please, if it's about Daisy, you'll find the right lady in time,"

"Wow, wise words from a music freak, huh?" Jake joked in return, making Hailey smile slightly. Sure it was a degrading nickname but in the tone that Jake used, it was like an affectionate nickname.

"Well, aren't the stars beautiful tonight?" Jake asked before looking up to see the stars again. The stars really were beautiful that night, as if it was perfect for the night of the gala. Hailey nodded in reply and gave him a smile.

"Well, if I have to say something, Miss Jones did teach me quite a bit about stars and how they might control our fates," Hailey stated out of nowhere, trying to stop the silence between the two of them.

"Oh yeah, I always thought that Daisy and I were fated for each other but that was me being dumb, wasn't it?" Jake replied in a degrading matter to himself while laughing slightly. Hailey noticed that Jake was trying his best to maintain his cool and calmness, while she can't read minds, she can tell that Jake wasn't feeling the best right now.

"Jake...it's okay, I get that feeling, I thought that..." Hailey trailed off, not wanting to confess to Jake about her school days crush on him. Well, if it was just a school day crush, why was her heart beating so fast right now? Adrenalin? Excitement? Or the crush came back to haunt her. "I know that the elite isn't for the faint-hearted but, it's okay to let your feelings out, no matter how dumb it is."

Jake sighed and looked at Hailey for a bit. Her eyes, were just as beautiful as the stars tonight. Shining brightly with happiness that she was here with her friends...but he wasn't a friend to her. Jake decided to hold his composure a little bit longer, at least until the end of the gala.

"Let's get back, your friends must be worried about you," Jake said and before Hailey could say anything, he grabbed her hand slightly and walked back to the gala.

"Well, that was a nice time to hang out with my friend Under the Stars", Hailey thought to herself wishing that she could find a way to make Jake feel better and get the others to forgive him. It'll take time but it'll be perfect when they're all friends like the stars said they should be.
