Mia had been shown to her room and left to her own devices for a bit to settle in. Meanwhile, Aster was pacing around her and Reggie's room, and she was livid she hadn't shown it in front of Mia, not wanting to frighten her and make her think that she had done something wrong.

Aster paused her pacing at the sound of her husband's voice, "Ma Fleur étoile" She looked at him, "They will all get what's coming to them, we just need to plan everything to perfection so that it can't be led back to us."

Aster breathed out, "It's just who knows the horrors that little girl has seen, We probably need to get her to the infirmary for a medical scan and to see her medical records, They no doubt neglected her to some degree because I know how Petunia is, she's a horrible, spiteful, pathetic excuse for a human being and would take her petty jealousy out on Lily's daughter... I should give her a piece of my mind for that, but that could end up with Dumblewhore knowing where Mia is, and I can't let him ruin her childhood any more than he already has."

Reggie walked over and wrapped his wife in a hug, "Ma Fleur étoile, we will protect her..." he smirked as an idea popped into his head, "In fact, I have a plan, but it involves telling her that she's a witch."

Aster gave him a look, but nodded, "I planned to do that anyway tonight after dinner after everything else has had a chance to sort of sink in for Mia."

"Okay, then I will tell you my idea after you've informed her about her magic."

Regulus was still smirking, as he knew that this idea of his was really going to throw a kink into whatever the old man's plans were, he may not know what they were, but he knew that this would be making Mia more powerful and less susceptible to being manipulated.

"Judging by the look on your face, my love, I know this is going to be a good idea." he kissed her on the head.

Mia couldn't believe that she had more family that could have taken her in when her parents died, She couldn't help but wonder why she had been left with the Dursleys if she had another aunt and uncle that could and would have taken her in.

Tears welled up in her eyes the more she thought about it. She could have had an actual childhood, instead of being treated like a servant and getting beaten by her uncle and cousin while her aunt Petunia would just watch and do nothing to stop it.

Tears fell down her face as she curled up on her bed and a quiet sob racked her small body, She was finally letting it all out, for all the pain she had been put through, she never cried anytime her uncle or cousin would hit her because she learned early on that it only made it worse.

She eventually ended up falling asleep, curled up on the bed, She didn't realize how long she had been asleep until Aster had knocked on the door. "Mia?"

The older woman opened the door, hearing a groggy voice, "Come in." Mia sat up and blinked a few times, wiping the sleep from her eyes.

"I brought you some clothes, thought you might want to freshen up before dinner and would feel more comfortable in clothes hopefully more your style."

Mia gave her a small smile, "Thank you."

"Of course, Dinner will be ready in 45 minutes, I'll come and get you and show you the way to the dining room."

Mia nodded at her, thanking her again. Aster then left the girl to freshen up. Mia grabbed the clothes and noticed that they were very different from Dudley's old hand-me-downs, which was all she was used to. Mia smiled to herself, she did quite like the outfit chosen for her.

Mia took a shower, Once she was finished she dried off and got dressed in the outfit that her new aunt had brought her. She looked herself over in the mirror and smiled as Aster had been correct, that was definitely more her style than the oversized clothes that she had previously been wearing.

Mia ran her fingers through her wet hair and then towel-dried it a little bit before running her fingers through it again.

There was another knock on her door by the time Mia had walked out of the bathroom, She opened the door to reveal a smiling Aster and offered the girl her hand Mia was still a little hesitant like all this was going to be a dream, she took the hand, "oh I was right that looks absolutely adorable on you Mia."

"Thank you," Mia replied politely, her face turning a little bit red, not used to getting compliments. But Aster didn't mention it. Aster made small talk with the girl as they made their way to the dining room.

Mia was admittedly a little bit nervous, She hadn't really been around kids that were her age because, at her old school, they avoided her like the plague because of Dudley and his gang of bullies. As if sensing her nerves, Aster squeezed the girl's hand. Which Mia was a little grateful for, even if she didn't vocalize it to the older woman.

They soon arrived in the dining room, Aster smiled, "This is dining room 2, it's mostly just the adults in the school that eat here We thought you might be a little more comfortable for tonight to not be around a bunch of kids that you don't know yet."

Mia looked at her surprised, "Really?"

"Yeah, it was mine and Reggie's idea though and Erik and Charles both agreed to it... You can sit next to Reggie and I."

Dinner passed by quickly and then Mia was sitting with Aster and Reggie out on a balcony, "All right Mia, there is so much more that you need to know about your parents, and I am going to tell you everything that I can and Reggie is here to help explain things better once I finish my part."

"Okay, so did my parents really die in a car accident?"

Aster shook her head, "No Mia, your parents were murdered and for you to understand more of the reasoning behind it, you need to know this, you're a witch, you have magic, and all the things that you've done that you couldn't explain that was what they call accidental magic."

"So all the things that happened when I got scared or upset were signs of magic?"

Regulus nodded at her, "Indeed Mia, every magical child has bouts of accidental magic, and most of the time it's brought out in times of panic."

"Did my parents have magic as well?"

Aster nodded, "Yes Mia, both of your parents had magic, They met at Hogwarts it's a magical boarding school, Reggie could tell you more about that than I could, but your mother got her acceptance letter when she turned 11, now I didn't go while yes I have magic as well, my mutation was stronger, so I wasn't accepted to go to the school, your mother's magic was stronger and she never activated her mutation... I don't really know much about your father, aside from what your mother told me about him and the fact that he chased after your mother for years before she agreed to go out with him."

Mia was listening to their words with apt attention as she soaked it all in, She was a witch and had magic it was something that she got from her parents which in a way made her feel closer to them even if she never knew them.

"Your father and my brother Sirius were best friends from the moment they met on the train to Hogwarts, along with two others, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew... Sirius would tell em all about them when he'd come on for breaks his first year, since I was a year younger than him and wouldn't be going to Hogwarts until the following year. We used to be really close until I started Hogwarts and got sorted into Slytherin, while Sirius was the first of our family to be a Gryffindor. He started ignoring me after that." Reggie rolled his eyes, "but I know for a fact that Sirius would never have betrayed your parents."

Mia nodded at him, "So if Sirius didn't betray them, who did? And why?"

"Wizarding Britain was in the middle of a war, the light side vs. the dark side, aka followers of Dumbledore vs. followers of the Dark Lord. Now from what I discovered in my research before your parents found out they were having you, Dumbledore was told a prophecy in the middle of a job interview in the three broomsticks, and then it was overheard by a follower of the dark lord, who ran and told him of the prophecy. I don't know exactly what it said, but something along the lines of the person who would have the power to vanquish the dark lord would be born as the seventh month died, which meant the end of July and then your parents found out that they were going to have you and the due date was the end of July and Dumbledore convinced them to go into hiding under the Fidelius charm which meant that the location they were in would be only known to your parents, Dumbledore since he was the one to cast the charm and the secret keeper. Sirius was supposedly the secret keeper but knowing my brother he suggested someone else to throw them off."

Aster cut in then remembering what Lily had said in one of her letters, "That's true I just remembered something Lils said in one of her letters, about the whole ordeal she said that Wormtail whatever that meant was the secret keeper, I have no idea what that means or who that is which is why we haven't taken it to the Ministry to try and get Sirius free yet, I've been trying to decipher the whole thing. Lils said that using the code name was safer than fully revealing the identity."

Regulus thought about it for a moment, "Peter, it's what they called him, Wormtail, James was Prongs, Remus, Moony, and Sirius was Padfoot."

"So one of my dad's best friends betrayed him and my mother?"

Reggie nodded, "but I do believe that Dumbledore still had something to do with it, like why would you hold a job interview for a professor at Hogwarts in a rundown bar of all places? Unless he knew that they would be overheard when the 'prophecy' was spouted out."

"So you think that this Dumbledore guy faked the prophecy that got my parents killed? You think he somehow planned it?"

"I do, and according to your mother's last letters to Aster, she believed he had something to do with it as well." Reggie looked at his wife, "Now as I was telling Aster earlier I have an idea, but we first had to tell you about your magic."
