Bright and early the next morning just as he said Erik and Mia were on a flight to New York, it was a long flight, but Mia had been somewhat excited with it being her first time on an airplane, but they were now in a cab heading toward Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

Mia was nervous, to say the least, and she was playing with her fingers as she looked up at Erik, "What if they don't like me?"

The man gave her a smile, "That's nonsense, Mia, of course, they'll like you." Mia bit her lip slightly, She didn't really believe him at the moment, her experience with her relatives and the people from the Orphanage making it hard for her to believe that anyone could like a freak like her.

As Mia and Erik were making their way to the Mansion, a woman with dark red hair stood bouncing excitedly by the door, awaiting the arrival of the two. A man with dark hair and striking gray eyes chuckled at her, "Aster, calm down and stop your bouncing, you're going to frighten the girl."

The redhead Aster pouted slightly but stopped as the man requested because she knew that he was right, "All right Reggie, I'll stop, but I can't help my excitement, This girl is important I don't know why yet, but I know she is."

The man just kissed her on the side of the head, "Well my love they'll be here in just a few minutes, and maybe we can figure it out."

The cab had just pulled up to the Mansion and Mia was staring wide-eyed at the place, since she had never seen a building so big before, much less been allowed to go inside. Erik smiled and chuckled at the girls' expression, "Welcome to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, Mia."

She turned to him, "This is the place you told me about?"

He nodded, "It is." The two grabbed their things and before the man could even ring the bell the door was pulled open revealing a grinning Aster as she welcomed them, "Hello, little one my name is Aster, my husband Reggie and I will be escorting you and Erik to see Charles."

Mia gave the woman a shy smile, "Hi, I'm Mia."

"It's lovely to meet you, Mia." Then the two walked inside and Aster closed the door behind them.

Reggie smiled at the young girl, "Hello there, I'm Reggie, and as my lovely wife has already pointed out, we will be your escort to see the Headmaster of the school, Charles Xavier."

Mia gave the man a polite smile as Aster and Reggie led the two through the halls of the school, Aster was pointing things out to the young girl as they went, Mia was looking around in awe at the surrounding things, she had never seen anything so grand. The three adults noticed her face but didn't say anything as they approached Charles' office.

Aster smiled at the man she looked at as her uncle, "Professor."

"Hello Aster, is this the girl you mentioned to me last night?"

"Yes, professor, this is Mia," Aster turned to the girl a warm smile on her face, "Mia this is Professor Charles Xavier this is his school, and he's the headmaster."

"Hello," Mia spoke softly almost shyly, she was still wary of the people around her.

They spoke for a few minutes and Charles looked at Erik and spoke to him telepathically, "You're sure she's a mutant?"

The man in question nodded and looked at Mia, "Mia, why don't you show Charles what you showed me last night?"

Mia hesitated, "I don't want to mess anything up I don't know how to control it..."

Charles gave the girl a smile, "It's all right Mia, whatever gets messed up can easily be fixed, I need to gauge how powerful your mutation is, so I know what kind of training to start you on."

Mia let out a shaky breath but nodded at the telepath, "Okay, I just didn't want to get in trouble for messing something up."

Aster crouched down in front of her with a smile, "You're not going to get in trouble for this, Mia, I promise."

Mia gave her a nod, and closed her eyes, focusing just like she did last night showing Erik and her hands were engulfed in the same glow as before and all the metal things that were loose in the room started to float as Mia raised her hands up.

"Thank you, Mia, that's enough." She nodded and focused on the glow going away.

Charles was deep in thought for a moment before he looked at his old friend, "Her mutation is somewhat similar to yours, Erik."

"I noticed that as well when she showed me last night."

Charles smiled, at the girl, "We will need a few bits of information to get the enrollment process started for you Mia, Erik did the right thing bringing you here."

"What kind of information?"

"Just some basic things, I'll ask some questions, and you just answer them the best that you can, okay?"

Mia hesitantly nodded, "okay."

"My first question for your records here is, what is your full name?"

"Euphemia Lilith Potter... but I liked to be called Mia."

Aster and Reggie shared a look at the mention of her name, Aster knew her sister's name was Lilith, but she went by Lily, and she married James Potter, and they were going to name their daughter Euphemia after James' mom. But stayed silent for the moment thinking that maybe it was a coincidence.

"Okay Mia, that's good, The second question is when is your birthday?"

"July, 31st, 1981." Charles wrote that down on the paper.

"Okay, do you have any family that needs to be contacted about your arrival here?"

"No, I only have my aunt, uncle, and cousin, but they don't want anything to do with me, because of the incident that happened when my mutation was activated. My aunt Petunia shipped me off to an orphanage straight after that was two weeks ago, and then I ran away from there, so no there is no one that needs to be notified."

Charles nodded at her, "All right, what about your parents, if you don't mind me asking?"

"They're dead, they died when I was a baby, Aunt Petunia said it was a car accident, but I always got the sense that she was lying to me about it."

Aster looked at the girl who was looking more and more like she was her niece, "Your parents, do you know their names?"

Mia looked down and shook her head, "No, I don't even know what they looked like, Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon never mentioned them or had any pictures and would always get mad when I asked about them."

Aster nodded she was now seething, she knew for a fact that Mia was her niece now at the mention of her horrid sister and her equally horrid husband, Those stupid wizards that got her twin sister killed left her niece with Petunia of all people who hated her and Lily with a passion because they were both special, and she was just normal.

Lily had written Aster a little before her death about how she was starting to distrust Dumbledore and his followers and that James, Sirius, Marlene, and Remus were feeling the same way, but they knew that they couldn't say anything about it to anyone else. Lily had explained in the letter how things weren't adding up, She had learned more about the pureblood customs and was wary because Dumbledore had insisted they would be safer under the Fiedelus charm instead of in the Potter Ancestral home.

Erik noticed his daughter went completely silent and looked at her, "Aster, what is it?"

Aster had tears in her eyes as Reggie tried to comfort her, "That meddlesome old son of a bitch... he's the reason they're dead, Lily said so herself in the last letter she sent me before they died and then HE goes and places their innocent daughter with that HORRID woman who everyone knew despised Lily and would be low enough to take it out on an innocent child... I could have been taking care of my niece this whole time, and she would have actually had a decent life because no doubt my awful half-sister made her life a living hell."

Mia looked confused as Aster ranted near tears, Erik then understood that Mia was his granddaughter, "I'm sorry but what's going on?"

Reggie hugged his wife, consoling her as he too caught that Mia was his niece he smiled at her, "Give Aster a few minutes to calm down, and we will explain everything to you, Mia." The young mutant nodded as Reggie led Aster out of the room to try and calm her down enough to explain things to the girl.

"All right, Mia, let's continue with the questions, and when Aster and Reggie come back in, I will let them explain what Aster was talking about to you."

Mia nodded at spent the next 10 minutes answering the questions to the best of her ability, Once they were finished with all the questions and Charles had all the information he needed to start Mia's enrollment, he got right that offering the girl some refreshments if she wanted them, Mia hesitantly took some, she relaxed a little when she saw no one was going to yell at her for it (even if it was offered to her.) she was used to being yelled at for the smallest things.

It would take a while for her to realize that things would be different from now on.

Five more minutes passed before the couple reentered the room, Aster was now a lot calmer, and she gave the young mutant a warm smile, She now knew why Mia was so important to them because she was family, and they were going to show her that family was supposed to love you. "I'm sorry about that, Mia, but I just made some revelations as you were answering the professor's questions."

Mia nodded at her, "It's all right Aster, I'm just a little confused, is all."

"I understand it was a confusing reaction, but I will explain it to you okay little one?"

"Okay?"

Aster sighed, "Okay, so I will be straight with you Mia, Your mother her name was Lilith Jazmine Potter née Evans, She was my twin sister. Why you were left with Petunia of all people I have no clue because your mother stated in writing to me several times and that it was listed in her will that if something happened to her and your father James Potter, you were not to go to Petunia under any circumstances."

Mia stood there staring at the woman with wide eyes, "I had other family members that could have taken me in?"

Aster nodded, "and I would have happily taken you in Mia had I known that you were alive because I was led to believe that you died the night that your parents did, It's what that stupid old man told me when I approached him about taking you in... even I shouldn't have been the first choice that should have been your godfather. And if he wasn't able to take you, then your godmother should have been next and then me as your biological aunt, your mother would be rolling in her grave if she knew that Dumbledore left you with the one person she said not to leave you with."

Mia was reeling with all this new information, "You said that he was the reason they were dead, did you mean this Dumbledore person?"

"Yes. Mia I meant him, Your mother had explained a few things in the last letter she sent me before she and your father died, and she said very plainly that if something happened to them that he had something to do with it but that no one believed it because he was such a positive influence in the community."

"You mentioned me having godparents, Who were they and why couldn't they take care of me?"

Just because Regulus hadn't been seen in the Wizarding World since his supposed death didn't mean he didn't know what was going on in that world; he was the Lord of the House of Black since his brother was in Azkaban. Reggie smiled at her, "Well my brother Sirius Black was named your Godfather, and everyone thinks that he betrayed your parents and that led to their deaths, but that is far from the truth, James Potter and Sirius Black were soul brothers meaning it would be impossible for him to betrayed James, but apparently the rest of the world doesn't know him as well as they think they do, but he's currently locked up in Azkaban for a crime that he didn't commit which is why he couldn't take you in. And your Godmother Marlene McKinnon, was fiercely loyal to your mother from what I've heard, but her whereabouts are currently unknown, She disappeared after your parents died and no one has been able to locate her since so that is why she couldn't take care of you..."

Mia nodded, accepting the answer from him, "Okay so this Dumbledore guy placed me with Aunt Petunia knowing that it was against my mother's last wishes?"

"Indeed, Mia," Aster told her. "There is so much more to tell you, but we'll let you settle in a bit and get you some clothes and stuff, and I'll show you to your room settled in then later on I will tell you whatever you want to know about your parents."

Mia nodded, She was slowly relaxing around them now, she still didn't  fully trust them but was just a little more comfortable around them and had so many questions about her parents, but she would ask them later. "Okay."

Aster held her hand out for Mia to take, and the girl did hesitantly, and The redhead led her out of the room, "After dinner tonight I'll answer more of your questions because I know you have to have about a million of 'em."

YIKES it's been a while since I've posted a new chapter for this book but here I am back with Chapter Three (: and Yes Marlene is her godmother and may or may not be alive who knows, guess we will have to wait and see XD.

But my question is if Marlene were to be alive would you want Marlene x Sirius, Wolfstar, or Wolfstar x Marlene? just something to think about.
