[ 2 ] Star Wars buddies
If you ever find yourself asking Peter Parker if he knows Bambi Moody, and if he answers with a no- then slap the shit out of him, because that's the biggest lie told on the Earth.
Prehaps the word 'knowing' was a word that wasn't really the best to describe his status with the girl.
The boy had the biggest crush ever on the girl since the very first time they had a proper conversation in supermarket- aka when his uncle died. Her wise and comforting words made something inside of him move, and suddenly, she was the biggest person in his heart.
Of course he has heard about her before, after all, the first day she stepped into the Midtown School of Science and Technology, everything was buzzing about it. Many boys already took the notice of her beauty so for the very long time boys forgot about her unusual name and replaced it with 'the new chick'. Peter noticed how beautiful she was as well, but he didn't think he would see anything in her except from that.
He wasn't expecting such kind personality.
When he watched her play Juliet in English class, he was even more interested in her even though he looked like complete idiot in front of her, stammering over his own words. It annoyed him because he didn't know the girl at all and yet she managed to make him so damn nervous.
After the little conversation they had in the grocery store, he watched her even more closely.
Watching turned into feelings, and feelings turned into the obsession. That kind of obsession when you think about a person every second of your day, replaying the conversation you had with them over and over again like a broken TV. It became unhealthy to think about her so much. He needed a distraction from the tragedy and the basic shit that was happening in his life, and Bambi Moody was great for it, no matter how bad it sounds.
Unfortunately for him, he knew she was way out of his league. First of all, she was too pretty for a guy like him. Peter was pretty sure she didn't even know how much she was pretty. Many boys- after the 'new chick' thing died- said the girl actually wasn't anything special and that there are over millions of better looking girls at their school. Peter resisted an urgue to slap anyone with that thought, because it was just another sweet little lie- Bambi was the most gorgeous, stunning, beautiful girl he has ever seen. Maybe after he developed crush on her his brain played mind games om him and convinced him the brunette was prettier than she actually was.
Peter of course pushed that thought aside.
Secondly, everyone knew she didn't do love.
Was it because she already had a boyfriend or not, no one knew... except from her best friends, of course. Mary Jane, Gwen and Harry were turly the luckiest trio because they get to hang out with such wonderful person with an amazing personality.
He spent days, weeks, months just quietly watching the four friends laugh at their table at lunch. Ned called him a stalker, but he shoved that sudden idea out of his head before it managed to hit him, because he really was a stalker. Such big stalker he went to grocery store every Monday and Thursday to see her, even if he didn't need to buy anything.
He felt wrong that day when he didn't manage to go to the grocery store because of that green bitch called the Green Goblin. The masked villain came into his secret superhero life not too long ago and Peter was still trying to figure out the guy. He didn't get why was someone terrorising the city and for what exactly, since that supervillain weirdy never stole anything. He just... blew up some buildings out of fun and his own enjoyment, probably.
Anyway, Peter was chasing after him, swinging through the streets of his own little neighbourhood. Every inch of his living body was hoping Green Goblin wasn't planning to drop a bomb on any of the houses in those practicular streets- or anywhere for the matter.
The wind was blowing against his suit that was so skin-tight he could feel the coldness on his skin, and he felt his body tremble on a few seconds. The winter was coming, and he didn't want to think about how was he supposed to save the city at the temperature of Northen Pole. Tony will probably build a heater in his suit... hopefully.
He was already tired and his eyes were sloppy due to the fact he spent all night long writing an essay yesterday... plus, he felt sick. Peter wasn't usually the winter type since he was always the one to get cold as soon as a temperature drops a little. It annoyed him, but oh well.
Everyone thought Spider-Man was flawless hero that never makes mistake while he's swinging gracefully in the air.
Well, they thought wrong.
Because as soon as Peter miscalculated the distance between two of the buildings, his web wasn't able to reach the building and he had to do something fast before he crashes to the ground - and that was to shot a web at the closest point possible- which was, in fact, very close to the ground. He had to shot at higher points of buildings so he could fully swing, but when he shots too long web at too low point, well, I hope you ever get to experience what could happen next.
So, what happened?
Since he is a very lucky person, his body was literally flying into one girl that was in the cold night alone in the streets. Yelling for her to watch out obviously didn't help, because the next second the two bodies collided- not exactly, Peter's strong body unfortunately made hers fly away into the wall.
He could her the girl's surprised yelp full of pain and he immediately stopped, even though he knew he had to be fast to catch up with the villain. He turned around, the waves of worriness and fear for the girl washing over his body. But when his eyes landed on the too familiar girl, he was left stunned.
And suddenly, he was falling over his own words.
"When I said you should make her fall for you, I didn't mean it literally." Ned's laugh echoed in his ears the following morning. The two best friends were walking down the hallways, Peter telling his best and not to menton only friend about the little adventure that happened to him last night.
"Shut up, Ned." He groaned as he tried to hide his face in his palm, obviously being embarassed.
"So, what happened next? Did you two have conversation?" The bigger boy pushed on in curiously, making the taller boy roll his brown eyes.
"Sort of."
"What?"
"She told me I sound like a high school girl who is trying to confess her love to the biggest jock in the school..."
That made Ned laugh even harder, his laughter making some people even turn to look at them as Peter tried to shush him down. "Oh my god how are you even alive after that? She literally burnt you alive." He pretended to wipe off a fake tear of joy. "But though, that was exactly what was happening... except, she is not a jock."
Peter had to admit it was kind of funny, but the pained and hurtful expression that flashed across Bambi's face was crossing his mind ever since his eyes caught the sight of the fresh tears streaming down her pink cheeks. The guilt was eating him inside. Was that his fault? Was she crying because the pain she caused to her?
She looked like a kicked puppy. Peter wanted nothing more but to hug her in that moment, comfort her, for whatever reason she was crying. A kind person like her wasn't supposed to get any pain from this world.
And oh god, why the hell was he stammering so much?? Spider-Man wasn't like that! He was confident superhero with sassy comebacks and... and...
Welp, he was talking to his crush after all. He felt so stupid.
Whole night his mind was screaming at him for being so foolish. He chased after the super-villain (that managed to escape his sight) instead of staying with the lovely girl to make sure she would be alright and come back home safe and sound. But what did he do?? Swinging away faster than Dr. Strange could have teleported him to another place.
"Dude, you should totally make up for it to her!" Ned suggested and Peter could recognise the excitement in his voice. He was glad his best friend was happy for him, even though he didn't really have any reason to be happy for him. He messed up, after all.
"How? 'Hey Bambi so I heard you crashed into Spider-Man last night? Nah don't worry I'm not a stalker I just know because funny thing, I am the guy who crashed into you HA!' Not happening, Ned."
"I didn't mean you should talk to her." his best friend shrugged his shoulders, his face blank-looking before a well-knowing grin broke on his lips once when he saw how confused Peter was. "Spider-Man should."
It was not a bad idea. It was far from it, actually.
Yet, this was the thing that was always happening. Peter lives a double-life and constantly needs to pretend he was someone who he was certainly not. Because in the daylight, in the real life, girls were not drooling over him nor throwing themselves at him as they did when his face was covered in a well-known red mask. It bothered him. Bambi would probably never notice him as Peter once when she meets the Spider-Man. She would probably run away if she finds out that a literal nerd is saving the city all night long
"That's a good idea." He said slowly, his tone of his smooth voice not giving off any emotion.
The duo was always sitting alone at lunch. Alongside Michelle who would sometimes sit close to them. However, even though it was a bit lonely, it gave Peter a perfect opportunity to pay attention closely to his favourite subject.
And that was, watching the infamous quatro that was laughing at their table as of there was no tomorrow.
"Is that a new sweatshirt?" He heard a low voice coming from his side. He turned his head slowly to see his best friend's brown eyes glued to the girl.
And indeed, Bambi was wearing a brand new sweatshirt today which had a wide collar. She looked quieter than usual as a small smile stood sternly on her peach-coloured lips. Her eyes were adjusted far away from Peter's- as always. He watched, like a stalker, as her deep brown eyes stared at her red-haired friend that was rambling about something. He watched her closely, noticing everything she did- the way she shrugged her shoulders and offered smile to her friends when they asked her something she didn't have an answer on. The way she played with the hem of her sweatshirt or the way she played with her nails- he was noticing it all. And it bothered him.
Why was he obsessed with her so much? Was it creepy?
He didn't manage to tear his eyes off her glowing figure. She began to laugh. He could hear her laughter even though they were on the completely opposite sides of the dinning hall (thanks, Spidey senses!), and the sound was controlling every cell of his body. He remembered that night, last Thursday, when the girl began to laugh out of blue at him. He also remembered Karen pointing out his face was redder than his suit.
Yep, definitey creepy.
"Dude. This is not healthy." Ned's mocking voice snapped him out of his thoughts and suddenly, he wasn't able to concentrate on hearing the girl's laughter anymore.
Peter decided he would not give a proper response to his friend's remark.
After all, he had better things to do.

Peter was known for being Flash's oh so called target.
He didn't like to fight back, no matter how much embarassing it would get. He simply didn't want to get down to Thompson's level- he was not that kind of guy.
But today, something snapped inside of the boy, and he actually punched the annoying-ass bully as soon as he heard 'Penis Parker' echoing through the hallways.
He was certainly not in the mood, since it was a) Monday, b) he did not get sleep at all last night (but really, when was the last time he got his proper sleep?), and he was not willing to ignore the mean comments this morning.
Although he had to admit, it really was satisfying to hear his fist making a connection with Flash's face. The sound of crunching caused by the punch was even more satisfying when people were able to hear it from miles away. He felt a little guilty when he saw the bloody nose the other boy got, but hey- he was as gentle as it was possible for a boy that was bitten by a radioactive spider and got the super-human strength and other abilities. The punch wasn't even that hard.
However, every punch leads to even bigger fight. He wasn't even able to remember how people surrounded them. Flash, no matter how annoying and scary the guy made himself look like, has a sucker punch- he was no able to cause any real damage to Peter's pretty face, thank god. Besides, Flash Thompson's punch was nothing close to Captain America's- and no matter how much Peter wanted to lie about it, he did get serious ass-kicking by that guy.
However, at the end, he did kind of regret it- since he was now sitting in the school psychologist's office. It was weird sitting in there, considering Flash was sent directly to principal's office. However, he was glad, because that meant he did not get into too much problems.
He was sitting there patiently while he drummed with his fingers on the soft leather sofa. The school psychologist was nowhere to be seen, which could mean she had bigger probems than this straight A's boy. He looked around her bright office that was drowned in silence. A smile appeared on his pale lips when he noticed a drawing of a red and blue hero- Spider-Man was messily coloured by red and blue crayons and his white eyes were a little bit too slender compared to the real ones- as well as the head was bigger than the body. Peter assumed it was school psychologist's son's drawing; he knew she had a 5 years old son named Miles.
He was wondering if he would get detention. What is a big 'HOPEFULLY NO', because he had way too many things to do these days... plus, he didn't want Aunt May to be pissed.
Not so soon after, he heard two voices and the sound of heels clacking getting louder and louder, and he sat straighter in his seat, his arms unfolding on his chest.
Not even the God of Thunder himself would be able to tell you about Peter's reaction when she walked in.
He hoped his jaw didn't drop too much- because there was she- standing next to school psychologist, wearing a pissed facial expression no one would think they would have a chance to see on the kind, always cheerful girl like her. She was glaring at... well everything. Her dark brown eyes scanned the office before they fell on the boy that was sat in the sofa, and his breath was caught in his throat. He swallowed down his pride from earlier and attempted to form a little friendly smile. However, instead of smile, his lips pursed into awkward duck face. What the hell.
Bambi Moody gave the tiniest smile she probably ever made before marching to the desk on which was a paper sheet. She slumped down on the chair heavily and tossed her Adidas backpack aside as if she didn't care if she could make too loud noise. She was definitely super pissed about something.
"Here's your exam darling." The woman said kindly as she gave the much younger girl a pen. The student sent a harsh glare in return and snatched the pen before her eyes fell down on the exam.
Peter's eyebrows knitted together in confusion. Since uh-when did students have to write exams in school psychologist's office?
Seeing the glare she got in return, the dark skinned woman sighed, her expression falling down into a concered one. "I am really sorry no one has told you anything about this. We know you were absent on that Friday- but professor insisted you have to do it now."
"Yeah okay, whatever, you can as well just take the exam back immediately."
What the hell.
Peter's eyes grew wide at that as his head shot up to meet girl's cold gaze pointed at the other woman. Many mixed emotions swirled around boy's head- confusion, concern, curiosity (Weirdly all of them began with the letter c what the hell Peter). Everyone knew Moody. She wasn't like this. She is the girl that doesn't want to say 'no' to people in fear that they will feel bad about it. She is the one who will just sit silently when someone she doesn't like is being clingy all over her- and she will never tell them to get away from her becaue she is too good of a person. She is the person who will care more about others' emotions than her owns.
The woman stared at her in the same amount of shock as Peter was feeling. "Uh am... sorry but I have to take care of some things first... you just... exam.." she failed at forming her words as a sigh escaped her lips and her shoulders slumped. "Peter, dear, can you wait for me for few minutes? Miles is feeling terribly sick--"
"I understand, I can wait." He lied and forced on a polite, genuine smile. The dark skinned woman visibly relaxed and gave him a toothy smile in return before hurrying out of her office, closing the door behind--
Oh my god.
Reality washed over the boy who was still sitting in the sofa, and he just realised- he was alone. With Bambi-Fucking-Moody.
However, the brunette across him didn't really seem bothered. She glanced at the exam and the mask that she was using for making herself look furious and angry immediately fell. Peter observed the tiny sadness in her eyes as they scanned through the tasks. The pen that was given by school psychologist still stood on the desk untouched. The girl didn't even write her own name on the paper sheet. Peter guessed all her brain cells stopped functioning.
He slumped further in the soft sofa, trying not to make any noise in the case he would disturb the girl-not as if she was planning on beginning anytime soon anyways.
The boy couldn't help himself but to stare. He knew this was getting insanely creepy and stupid but he wasn't even trying to acknowledge that fact. His chocolate coloured eyes focused on the shape in front of him, and suddenly, it seemed like they were glued to the girl's body covered in large sweatshirt. The tension in her shoulders suddenly disappeared as her head hung down. Peter's eyes observed the way her hand was lazily scribbling across the paper sheet.
He somehow knew the girl was being able to feel two soft brown eyes burning straight through her body. He hoped she didn't find it creepy as he found himself.
Five minutes later, Bambi finally started to actually write something down that was useful. Peter of course, continued to examine her face that was screwing up in concentration. He observed the way she bit her lightly pink bottom lip while she was thinking. Her body was leaning at one side, causing her sweatshirt with wide collar reveal her shoulder. The boy's eyes travelled across girl's pale neck, to her collar bone, and finally to her revealed shoulder- only to feel his eyes widen at the sight of dark blue and green bruisers which were scattered across her smooth skin. He wondered how the hell and what the hell happened to her as the serious amount of terrifying suggestion crossed his mind- until he remembered last Thursday.
He did that to her.
Well, Spider-Man did.
The guilt began to eat the insides of his body, crawling at his skin. He had no idea she crashed into the wall that hard. He felt even more guilty at the fact he didn't even offer her help, walk her home, make sure she didn't break anything. He was an asshole and he left her alone in the dark streets just because he couldn't handle talking to his crush. Oh my god, he was ridiculous.
"Do you need help with that?"
PETERPARKERWHATTHEFUCK!?
"What?" Bambi's head snapped up to meet Peter's eyes, confusion rising in her tone. Peter had absolute no idea how and by who's consent did that sentence leave his mouth.
"I-I mean..." he cleared his throat loudly, trying not to sound like a high racoon. "Mrs. Morales surely isn't going to come back anytime soon since I literally just saw her dashing out of this building towards her car- you know how her son Miles sometimes gets..." oh my god stop talking already.
Peter trailed off, realising he probably looked and sounded dumb as hell.
"What I mean to say is... I can help you with your exam. I wrote it last Friday."
Finally, a proper and meaningful answer the girl probably needed.
"Seriously?" She stared at him in surprise before a large grin broke through on her lips, and the boy beside her literally got blinded by its brightness. Bambi Moody definitely shouldn't waste such beautiful smile that could kill any mortal by just looking at it.
Peter just nodded while still being stunned over a simple smile. He stood up from the sofa and sat down next to the girl on one the other chair instead. Thr whole time, his heart was hammering like crazy.
This is a least he could do in return... but again, Bambi wouldn't know. It's Spider-Man who is supposed to apologise to her, not Peter.
"Let me see..." he hummed softly as he gently leaned over to get a better view on the exam. His eyes scanned over the tasks he recognised very well. Not even asking for brunette's approval, he snatched the paper sheet and her pen and began to scribble quickly, just in case someone would catch them. He tried to make his handwriting as neat as possible so professor wouldn't be suspicious. He tried not to think about the fact the girl besides him may be looking directly at him.
Minutes were passing by really fast. Peter could not help to not glance at the clock that was placed on the wall above the two teenagers. His arm felt like it would fall off from the speed of his hand movements. He tried to solve as much as possible. He didn't even a spare a glance at the shorter girl that was sitting there in a stunning silence.
Peter lost the track of time, getting lost in the exam. That is, until something broke his concentration.
"Peter she is coming back--"
He quickly sribbled the last word of the task before handing the exam to the girl and bouncing back to the couch in such speed he wanted to slap himself when realization hit him- he was too fast.
The curly-haired boy stole a quick glance at the girl who wasn't looking at him anymore. Was she suspicious at the fact Peter could move at such inhuman speed?
"Sorry you waited for me for so long!"
The feminine voice made him slightly jump as he saw Mrs. Morales at the doorway. He stole a not-so-quick glance at the girl at the other table only to see she hasn't looked up. She was scribbling something on the paper sheet- probably pretending she was actually writing something useful on it.
Suddenly, the sound of the bell pierced through Peter's ears. He could feel himself grow impatient since he didn't want to make aunt May worry over him, plus, who knows for how long would Mrs. Morales preach at him.
Bambi stood up with a sigh of... relief(?), walking towards the dark skinned woman and handing her the exam that wasn't fully solved, but the boy figured it would be enough for her to get a good grade. Besides, even though he tried to form his handwritng into something absolutely beautiful (he may or may not seen his crush's handwriting couple of times), it still dosn't change the fact she solved almost everything after complaining about not knowing anything. He just hoped Mrs. Morales wouldn't care about it too much. Knowing the woman, he would say even she would help her a little because the woman was too kind for her own good- plus, Bambi Moody had a great reputation in entire school.
The school psychologist took the paper before walking out of the office and gesturing the girl to follow after her. Before Bambi's body- that in fact wasn't thin nor too fat- not as if Peter would care at the fact the girl probably had a little belly under that sweatshirt and high-waisted black jeans- left from Peter's eyesight, he caught a glimpse of flashing smile being directed towards him. His heart softened, and once again he didn't feel as guilty as before.
Even though the girl would never know he was Spider-Man who crashed into her that night...
***
We know you have tough time, but taking your anger out on another students isn't the solution...
If you ever need help you can talk to me...
Blah, blah and blah. The usual not-so-comforting talk Peter got very often. He sometimes wished people could at least get a hint that he had a giant pressure on his shoulders- and that was, in fact, the weight of being a teenager having the responsibility to fight down that shitty piece of green shit that wouldn't let him breathe. He would even choose to fight his ex crush's dad over this... he even preferred getting his ass kicked by Steve-ohmygod-Rogers again. But noooo--
"Hi!"
The sudden soft voice made the boy's soul almost jump out of his body, his spidey senses obviously missing the person's presence. Not a single cell in this boy's body couldn't describe the amount of Peter's surprise and shock when he saw it was Bambi who approached him with a friendly smile adjusted on her lips.
He cleared his throat-- loudly, before flashing a wide, obviously nervous smile in return.
They were standing in front of the building facing each-other. The taller boy didn't even notice he was staring at her bronze eyes- just before his body went to full panic mode, he realised the girl was, in fact, staring right back.
"I just wanted to say, thank you so much. Like, I don't know what would I do if you weren't there... cry, probably- and then try to find something to eat." The girl chuckled to herself as she shifted from a foot to foot while staring down at her feet, her hands unnoticeably and unconsciously twirling the hem of her sweatshirt between her fingers.
"O-oh. It's not a big deal, really." Peter tried to shrug it off and play it cool. He couldn't allow to embarrass himself like Spider-Man did.
"You going home?" The girl said in kind and gentle voice as she looked up again with big eyes full of hope. Peter stared in disbelief before nodding quickly. They began to walk away from the building in a slow pace even though Peter was supposed to be home by now. The thought was long forgotten and replaced by nervousness.
The girl was talking whole the time. Some people would maybe find it even extremely annoying, but Peter Parker loved each second of it. She talked about art and books, even some movies. The boy listened to every word she had to say, and was secretly happy that he didn't need to hold the conversation. He was first pretty nervous about it- being afraid they would walk in complete awkward silence, but luckily it turned out fully opposite.
"Star Wars?" Peter suddenly interrupted her.
She glanced at him with eyebrows furrowed and puzzled look before answering. "I honestly find it pretty boring."
The curly haired boy faked a very loud and dramatic gasp at that. "What? How could you not like Star Wars?" He exclaimed in surprise. The shorter girl wore an innocent look on her face that that threatening to melt him off right there and then. "Have you ever watched it?"
Bambi slowly shook her head as she kept her eyes on the boy.
"I can't believe this."
She laughed at the boy who buried his face in his palms at the moment.
"How could you say it's boring if you never watched it in the first place?"
"I don't know, but I really can't make myself watch it." She shrugged.
"Oh, then I will make sure to make you watch it." The sentence slipped off his mouth before he even managed to proceed the words. His eyes widened immediately and he wanted nothing more but Green Goblin blowing him up right there.
"Deal. We're Star Wars buddies now!" She happily exclaimed as she clapped her hands multiple times. Peter expected many kind of responses, but not this one. He was glad the girl wasn't making a big deal out of it... just another reason to love her.
They continued with their heated discussion. Peter watched the girl laugh and joke with eyes shining in something he rarely sees as the time flew by. He didn't even notice they reached the building she lived in. He tried not to show off a tiny bit of the sadness he felt.
