Chapter 37. Restraining Order...

"You will not go within 50 feet of Jackson Whittemore. You will not speak to him. You will not approach him. You will not assault or harass him physically or psychologically." Sheriff Stilinski read from the new restraining order that Mr. Whittemore had just written up for us.

Scott, Stiles, and myself were all currently seated at a table while my mom and Jackson's dad hovered behind us. Stiles and Scott had managed to slip out of the room moments before and called Allison- I, on the other hand, had to deal with calling my mom and telling her to come down to the police station.. yeah, wasn't the most exciting phone call in the world.

Sheriff Stilinski dropped the clipboard on to the table as he looked us all over expectantly, his eyes lingered on his son- knowing that he was going to make a comment, and sure enough Stiles opened his mouth. "What about school?"

"You can attend classes while attempting to maintain a 50 foot distance." His father replied with a sigh.

"Okay, what if we both have to use the bathroom at the same time and there's only two stall's available and they're only right next to each other?" My boyfriend asked, using his usual level of sarcasm.

I bit down on my lip as I stifled a laugh, I couldn't help it- only Stiles would ask that sort-of question. Who else even thinks of something like that? I guess this whole restraining order thing means I'm going to get moved in Economics and Chemistry- hopefully Stiles and Scott can still sit by me though.

Sheriff Stilinski glowered at his son in annoyance, "I'll just hold it.." Stiles mumbled.

"Okay if the terms have been stated and you all understand, you can go." Mister Stilinski relented as he waved towards the door for Scott and I to exit, with my very angry mother.

My mom is usually a very easy going woman and she doesn't yell at us very often, but we did just call her telling her that we just had a restraining order held against us because we handcuffed Jackson inside a stolen prison transport van all day, and I had been texting his parents lying about his whereabouts. Apparently I could have gotten arrested for it, but Mister Stilinski had talked Jackson's dad down from that whole getting arrested idea.

"Move." My mom demanded as Scott and myself scurried out of the room, I could feel her eyes burning into the back of my head as he passed Stiles and his dad in the hallway. He was also getting lectured.

After we turned a corner and we're alone in the hallway my mom grabbed our shoulders and turned use around to face her, "It's not just this... although a restraining order is a new low that I didn't think either of you would reach this soon. It's everything on top of it. The completely bizarre behaviour, the late nights coming home, and having to beg Mr. Harris to make up that Chemistry test that you missed, Scott."

His eyes widened, "I missed a Chemistry test?"

"Really, Scott? Really? I have to ground you. I'm grounding you. You're grounded. Both of you, Kasey you aren't failing any classes... but you have been sneaking around, dodging my phone calls." She seethed as she crossed her arms over her chest in annoyance.

"What about work?"

"Fine... other than work. And no t.v." She instructed.

I sighed, "The t.v. is broken."

"Then no computer." She reiterated.

Scott shook his head from side to side, "We need that for school."

"Fine, then no uh...no Stiles." She stated with finality.

My eyes widened as Stiles popped out of the door behind her, "What? No Stiles?"

"No Stiles!" She shouted, which caused my boyfriend to shrink back away from her. She just grounded me from my boyfriend. Never in a million years did I think I would get grounded from a boyfriend as punishment. Well, to be fair I also never thought my brother would get bitten by a werewolf and become one himself... so, I guess you never really know what can happen.

"And no more car privileges, give me your keys! Give them to me!" She snapped as she held her hands out, Scott quickly dug his keys out of his pocket and handed them to her- looking at her oddly. She was losing it...

She then struggled with getting the actual car key off of his little key ring, "Oh for the love of god." She muttered in annoyance.

"Mom do you want me to-" I offered to try and help her but she shook her head from side to side defiantly, "No."

"Mom. Mom!" Scott said quickly as he gently grabbed her hands to help her with the keys. We have obviously really upset her with our weird behaviour the past couple weeks, and I can't even begin to imagine how confused she is.

My mom let out a sigh as she glanced at Scott, "What's up with you? Is this because of Allison?"

Scott blinked rapidly as he glanced at my mom, "Do you really want to know?"

"Is this about your father? It is, isn't?" She asked sadly.

My chest started to burn at just the idea of my dad being brought up into this conversation, what is it with him being brought up so much lately? I am so tired of just thinking about him. He is literally the last thing in the world that I want to think about or even talk about at this point, there are entirely too many things going on right now that are more important to focus on. Like the fact that Jackson is a freaking killing machine, and we can't seem to stop him.

"Okay, you know what, um... we'll talk about this at home. I'm going to go and get the car." She sniffled as she wiped at her eyes and walked past Scott and I.

I bit down on my lip as I followed Scott over to where my boyfriend was standing, "I'm the worst son ever..." My brother mumbled.

Stiles sighed, "Yeah well I'm not exactly winning any prizes either."

My eyes followed his as he glanced at his father getting yelled at by Mr. Whittemore, no doubt about the whole bathroom question. I gently grabbed his hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze, just to let him know that he isn't the worst son in the world- there's just a lot of stuff going on right now, and his dad doesn't have all of the facts. He faintly smiled at me before looking back to his dad.

"Technically, we are supposed to be staying away from you." I said to Stiles as we stood beside a book case in the library. Scott was waiting for Allison to deliver some sort of tablet or something to him, and since they aren't allowed to be seeing each other they have to sneak like this.

He was pretending to read a book, but at my voice his eyes snapped up from the pages to meet mine, "Technically we're not supposed to be talking in the library."

I rolled my eyes at his sarcastic comment and glanced through the books to see Allison sliding the tablet to my brother. "It's everything Lydia could translate, and trust me she was very confused." She whispered as Scott tapped the screen so the little page from the bestiary showed up and then the small little post-it appeared with the translation.

"I still can't believe she just happened to know archaic Latin." I mused as I glanced over my brother's shoulder to attempt to read the translation.

Scott nodded, "Yeah. What did you tell her?"

"That we were part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures." She chuckled in response.

Stiles rose an eyebrow, "I am part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures..."

"What? How do you even have any time to play games like that?" I asked in bewilderment as I glanced at him. He had this smug little look on his face that just made him look adorable, and for some reason the whole playing a nerdy game just makes him seem more adorable. I need to stop thinking his is adorable... it's becoming an issue.

Scott sighed as he scanned the tablet, "Does it say how to find out who's controlling him?"

"Not really, but Stiles was right about the murderer's." Allison stated.

My boyfriend fist-pumped triumphantly, "Yes!"

"There's a story about a South American priest who uses the Kanima to execute murderer's in villages-" She began to explain further but Stiles cut her off, "Alright see? So maybe it's not all that bad."

She shook her head from side to side, "Until the bond grew strong enough that it killed whoever he wanted it to."

"All bad. All very, very bad." I said quickly as I glanced at Stiles, he simply nodded in agreement.

"Here's the thing, though. The Kanima's actually supposed to be a werewolf, but it can't be.." She stopped talking as one of the aid's in the library started to stack books on the shelf beside her.

Scott tapped the tablet screen a few times before finishing for her, "Until it resolves that in it's past which manifested it."

"Okay, if that means Jackson could use a few hours of therapy, I could've told you that myself." Stiles cut in seriously.

I started to play with the little strap on my backpack as I began to think out loud, "What if it has to do with his parents... ya know, since he was adopted- it could string back to his actual biological parents."

"Yeah, does anybody even know anything about his parents?" Scott wondered aloud.

I shrugged, "Lydia might, even though Jackson was a total douchebag- he did care about her at one point, he could've confided in her or something."

"Well he doesn't have a restraining order against me. So... I'll talk to him myself," Allison concluded as she placed the book she had been pretending to look at back on the shelf.

Scott sighed, "What do I do?"

"You have a make-up exam to take, remember? Promise me." Allison said softly as she grabbed his hand through the book shelf. I rolled my eyes at yet another one of their PDA's, even though they aren't even supposed to be in the same room as one another.

My brother gripped her hand tightly, "If he doesn't anything- you run the other way."

"I can take care of myself," She reassured him, I nodded in agreement- that girl can handle herself completely. Allison can't really do much to her while he's not the Kanima, she is part of team badass- remember? She has a crossbow, and ninja skills. She will be totally okay.

"Allison if you get hurt while I'm busy taking some stupid test, someone's going to need to take care of me. If he does anything..." My brother began to speak but Allison began to question him before he could finish.

"Like?"

He sighed, "Anything weird or bizarre."

My boyfriend then popped his head through the book case to get closer to Allison," Anything evil."

She rolled her eyes and pushed his head back, he stumbled a bit as he nearly dropped the book he was holding to the floor. I let out a quiet laugh as I watched his cheeks redden at the embarrassment. As I said before, he was too adorable sometimes.

"So how exactly do you plan on approaching Jackson?" I asked Allison as we walked down the hallway towards my locker, she was heading to the locker room in pursuit of Jackson- so she could attempt to get some answers or something.

She sighed, "No idea. Just... maybe ask him if he remembers anything?"

"That's probably not the best idea, but... I don't know. Just don't make a comment about his junk being small, I think that's the reason why he was so adamant on trying to get me arrested." I muttered as we turned the corner in the hallway.

Allison choked out a laugh as she quickly tried to cover it up with a cough, "What?"

"It's a long story, point is- just don't say he's got a small penis." I sighed as she started to laugh again. I didn't find it funny in the slightest, I had actually seen Jackson Whittemore's manhood. It wasn't exactly the prettiest thing I've come across in my days.

She shook her head from side to side as she smiled, "Okay... I think I have it planned out. I'll see you later?"

I nodded, "Absolutely. Good luck,"

She waved goodbye as she turned down the hallway that she needed to, and sadly that Matt kid who always has his camera with him smiled at me before walking alongside me down the hallway. "Hey, Kasey."

I nodded once, "Hey."

"Um, you look nice today. Well- you always look nice, but yeah." He chuckled as he smiled faintly. What is happening? This kid has never- and I mean not once, ever approached me or tried to talk to me.

"Oh, thank you. You look... nice as well," I replied awkwardly. How exactly do I get out of this conversation before it just gets even weirder?

He grinned, "Thanks. Hey, did you hear about the underground show? Apparently they've got some big name spinning."

"Um, you mean like a rave?" I questioned as I glanced around the hallway for Scott or Stiles- hell, even Lydia. I needed someone to pull me out of this conversation.

He chuckled, "Is it still a rave if you don't roll? I just call it a party. But hey, I got a friend who can hook us up with tickets if you're down. Want me to get you one?"

"Yeah, sure. Um, yeah." I mumbled as I stopped in front of my locker- if I can just avoid him the rest of the week, then he won't be able to give me the ticket. Maybe he'll leave me alone if I just accept the invitation? This is such a bitchy move though, ugh I feel bad.

His eyes widened in shock, "Yeah? Alright cool. Um, it's Friday, so... looking forward to it."

I nodded, "Yep."

He grinned before finally taking the hint and walking away, I let out a sigh and rested my forehead against the locker. I swear to god if there is another one of those stalker ass notes in here today, I am going to burn this school down. I hastily turned my combination in and then scanned the locker for a note, but luckily there wasn't one in there.

"Finally, something good happens." I mumbled as I snatched my history book out of my locket and then slammed it shut, making my way down the hall. I had just turned the corner towards the history room when Erica and Stiles whizzed right past me- what the hell?

I quickened my pace as I tried to keep up with them, but my short little legs were making it kind of difficult. Where are they going? Oh god, they just turned down the hallway to the locker room. I then started to jog, and when I finally reached them I heard a part of the conversation that just really confused me, "I used to have the worst crush in the world on you. Yeah, you, Stiles. And you never once noticed me- you were always pining after Kasey." She snapped as her eyes settled on me.

Erica liked Stiles? Oh my god. Is that why she has been being so mean to me since she got the alpha bite make-over? I went to take a step forward, but for some reason the floor was all wet and I slipped and fell right on my ass- landing in the small puddle on the floor. "What the hell?" I muttered.

Stiles' eyes widened as he quickly jerked me out of the way- right before Scott and Jackson tumbled out of the locker room, nearly crushing me. Erica and my boyfriend then started to separate the two, just as Allison walked out of the locker room looking freaked out of her mind. What the hell happened? Why is the floor all wet?

"What the hell is going on? Hey! Enough!" Harris shouted as he stormed down the hallway towards my brother and Jackson.

Harris looked between the both of them angrily, "What do you two idiots think you're doing? Jackson calm down! Mister McCall, you wanna explain yourself?"

Matt then appeared out of nowhere holding a black tablet-wait that's the same one that Allison had earlier, "You dropped this.." he said quietly. Harris snatched the tablet out of his hands and glared at my brother and Jackson as he pointed at them, "You and you- actually, all of you. Detention at three o'clock."

I let out a sigh, are you freaking kidding me?

Anyway here is the chapter, the next chapter is a HUGE drama filled chapter for Stasey. I really enjoyed writing it, and plus you get some insight on why it's such a big deal to Kasey when she get's left alone, or people walk away from her- a lot of her issues are explained. :) Fan, vote, and comment! xxx
