        I woke up, sweat dripping off me. I rubbed my forehead and sighed.
        "That nightmare again?" I looked over at the female in front of me. "When did you wake up?" I asked her. "I didn't even sleep" she answered without looking at me.
        That was Amber Liu. My best friend and also my roommate.
        I groaned as I got out of bed. "Got anything worth listening to on the news?" I asked her. She shook her head.
        "Same as every day, kinda getting boring" she sighed just before looking at the time. "Quick, get dressed we need to go have breakfast" I nodded and then got ready.
        I got into the bathroom and heard Amber yelling at me from the room.
        "Y/N! Why are my clothes burnt?!" I laughed nervously before going out of the bathroom to face her.
        "Well....yesterday your clothes were on my bed and when I came here I was kinda angry about something...and you know...I grabbed your clothes with anger and threw them away only to notice that they got burnt....sorry" she looked at me and facepalmed.
        "You need to control that power of yours Y/N" I nodded and sighed. "I know..."

        Confused? Well, let me explain everything.
        I'm Jeon Y/N, a normal sixteen-year-old girl...not so normal for your world.
       I come from a place called Poten Regna, pronounced as (Paw-ten-Ren-eeya) you can say Potenia for short.
        Here people are not so ordinary.
        Sit down and relax, this is gonna take a while to explain.
        More than a hundred thousand years ago the world had two races; The magical, now known as the Poten (paw-ten), and the non-magical; the Impotens (Im-paw-ten).
        They were living peacefully with each other. The world was at peace. Until king George Atlantis the third, the king of the magical at that time, decided to start a war between the two races.
        He hated non-magicals. He thought they shouldn't live just because they were powerless. And just like that, a war started and the world was split.
        And it is still split to this day.
        There were the non-magicals and the magicals. The magicals had only one type. The two-powered magicals; The magicals who have two powers.
        Anyway, back to the story.
        Some families were half magical and half non-magical. They didn't go with the split. They stayed living in Potenia. That caused king George to start going after them.
                He would torture the non-magical and he would take the powers away from the magical. Yes, that is possible, but it's hard. He would usually take one power away leaving them with one power. But sometimes he would take both powers away. He would then send them to the non-magical side.
        That's how the one-powered Poten race started.
        Then the Positers (Paw-sit-er) were discovered.
        They were power-seekers. They mostly were the one-powered Potens. Some of them were also non-magicals who wanted power. But still, not all one-powered Potens were Positers.
        They would go attack the two-powered and steal their powers.
        After a few thousand years the first three-powered Poten was discovered.
        It was rare and still rare to find a three-powered magical.

        Anyway...I hope now you understand. Let's continue!

        Amber then sighed and then we went to the grand hall to eat our breakfast.
        We go to a boarding school. We get to go home every Christmas and also at the end of the year.
       I'm an orphan though so I stay here at Christmas but at the end of the year, I go stay with Amber and her family.
        I've been friends with her my whole life. After my parents died on the day of the fire 10 years ago I had to go to an orphanage but then I started school and I stayed there until Amber's parents suggested that I live with them.
        I had fire powers. They were my first powers. You get your first powers around the age of 4-8. You can get a second power around the age of 14-18 but as I said before not everyone gets second powers. Some people don't even have the first power even if both parents have powers.
      
        First powers are basic powers like:
        • Fire
        • Air, some people who have this power can fly and make things fly.
        • Water
        • Earth
        • Ice

        Second powers are also basic ones like:
        • Mind reading
        • Teleportation
        • Manipulating electricity
        • Healing
        • The ability to sense danger, some people who get this can get the ability to sense the dead too.

        Third powers are the rarest and almost impossible for anyone to do. They are all control abilities like:
        • The ability to control the mind (can control thoughts and memories)
        • The ability to control the body (the power that can control the physical body)
        • The ability to control time (you can go back in time and stop time but you can't see the future)

         We entered the grand hall and sat down at our usual place. "Got any letters for us today, miss Holly?" I asked as she passed by us. She was our postwoman.
        "Actually, yes, for miss Liu" she grabbed a letter out of her bag and passed it to Amber. Miss Holly was a Poten but didn't have any powers.
        Amber opened the letter and sighed. "What is it?" I asked as I ate a spoonful of cereal. We had other options but I wanted cereal.
        "It's dad...he's coming here tomorrow..." she lay her head down on the table. "Oh no..."
        Amber's dad was the kind of shameless dad...he would sometimes act silly or make a fool out of himself in front of total strangers.
        Last year he came and started talking about Amber when she was a kid saying things like, "Jackie was a real handful to take care of but Amber...Amber was worse! She would pee herself every single day!"
        I remember Amber and her older sister Jackie almost died of embarrassment that day.
        We were in the middle of eating when I heard Jackie calling us. "Omg, is dad seriously gonna come?! Kill meeeee" I slightly laughed and she glared at me. "He's gonna make me seem like a total idiot!"
        I was now heading to our defense and control class.
        We had 9 lessons in this school.

        • Study of breeds (study of werewolves, vampires, and some other breeds)
        • Defense and control (depends on the power you have)
        • History of Poten Regna
        • Studies of the non-magical (studies of the other world)
        • Practice class (usually to practice what we learned in the defense and control lessons)
        • Extra defense and control lessons (for the student with second powers)
        • Maths (we got it from the other world, not many people care about it)
        • Science (also from the other world, not many people care about it too)
        • Languages (depends on where you're from and what languages you want to learn)

       I and Amber don't have this class together or the practice class too since she has the Earth power and not Fire like me.
       I got inside the classroom and waited for the teacher to come.
       I was terrible at defense and control. That's probably why I burnt Amber's clothes yesterday.
       The class ended and I was heading to my Study of breeds class.
       I saw Amber coming to me and we walked to class together.

・???'s P.O.V

       I swear I feel something...she definitely is not normal...I stare at the black-haired girl as she walks away with her friend. There's something special about her...I can sense her....somehow...
       I got into the class and sat down in my seat. The feeling kept annoying me I wanted to just freeze my mind right now.
       After class I decided to go to her...ask her what she was...what her power was...cause this feeling is killing me...

・Y/N's P.O.V

        I left the class and started heading to the grand hall again but just as I started walking I felt my feet freeze.
        "What the...?" I looked down and they were covered with a layer of ice. I looked back up and saw a boy standing in front of me now.
        I was about to melt the ice when he did it for me.
        He then grabbed my wrist and said, "let's go" before starting to drag me away.
        "What?! No!" I made my arm warm-up and he let go quickly. "Ow! That hurt! Wait- you're Fire powered?" I looked at him confused. "Yeah...what do you want?" He took a moment to answer.
        "I'm Kim Taehyung...I would like to talk to you..."
