Being the twin sister to Dallas Winston had its ups and downs, but when it came to dating, it was nothing but downs. Dallas was overprotective and scared off all the guys who even came your way. It has been impossible for you date guys because Dallas would always get himself involved. You thought that having a boyfriend was pretty much out of the question because of your twin brother. That was until you met Steve Randle.

You both held the knowledge of how Dallas would ever react if he found out about you and him being together. Steve being one of Dallas's friends was what the bigger risk was, but Steve was worth it. He made you feel special. He treated you like a princess, and never failed to make you smile. You wanted Steve to be your boyfriend, and it wasn't long until he asked you to be his girlfriend.

A few months have passed, and you and Steve came to a decision to keep your relationship a secret from the gang. You knew that if the gang knew and not Dallas, it wouldn't be long until they snitched. Although the months were difficult to keep the gang from not finding out, it was more of an adventure for you and Steve. It was fun and hard at the same time. Tonight was date night that Steve planned for at Dairy Queen with you.

The gang wanted to hang out tonight, but you both made different excuses. The gang believed you both, but karma caught up a lot quicker this time around.

"You're so cute when you smile," steve cooed flirtatiously, making you giggle. "I love you so much [Y/N]."

You and Steve were so mesmerized with each other, you both didn't realize the entrance of the gang into Dairy Queen. All the guys were looking on the menu, wondering what to order, but the familiar giggle ran through Johnny's ears. He turned to the side, his eyes widening at the scene of you and Steve kissing. Johnny gaped in surprise. He wasn't expecting that. He whacked Dallas's shoulder who was standing right beside him.

"Hey man! Why did you—"

"Look Dal," johnny whispered, subtly pointing toward your direction. "ain't that [Y/N] and Steve?"

Johnny didn't even need to look at Dallas to know he was pissed off. Dallas huffed and stormed your way, immediately calling your name. He captured the attention of all the customers and the rest of the gang.

"This sure doesn't look like a damn movie night with your friends," dallas accused, crossing his arms. "[Y/N], would you mind explainin' this to me?"

"I-I'm sorry Dal...I just—"

"How long have you two been dating?"

"Did this just begin?"

"When did this happen?"

The curious questions from the gang was making the entire situation worse. Dallas clenched his jaw and shot his dirt brown eyes at Steve.

"You better leave this booth Steve," dallas threatened. "I'm not plannin' to ask you twice."

You sigh in despair as you saw Steve begin to scoot out, but Steve soon paused when he realized what was going on. You stared at Steve as he scooted back into the booth, shaking his head.

"You know what Dal, I ain't afraid of you," steve confronted, staring at your twin brother intensely. "I was actually about to leave, but I remembered that [Y/N] is worth it. Beat me up. Mock me. Do whatever you want, as long as I still get to have [Y/N] as my girlfriend, it'll all be worth it."

Everyone in the gang began to murmur among themselves as Dallas narrowed his eyes at Steve. Your heart melted. You never expected to Steve to say those words, and you were happy you were there to experience ever single part. You swing your eyes to look at Dallas who was taking a deep breath.

"You know what, I don't care no more," dallas stated, but you both knew he was lying. He glanced over his shoulder at the front counter. "I came here to eat anyways."

Dallas spun around and walked off with the gang behind him. They all threw thumbs up at Steve as they followed behind him.

"Thank you Steve, for those words," you thanked sincerely, lightly blushing. "nobody has ever done that before."

"I hope that showed you how much I really do love you [Y/N]," steve hoped, smiling brightly. "I love you [Y/N].
