Nandini's POV:

"Why the fuck??!!"

And this is maniac no.-3 Ostrich aka Manik, who wouldn't stop cussing after he found out that I and him are deeply in love for 6 months without his knowledge. After I lied to Cavya that we are 'lovers' I pulled Manik aside far away from Cavya to talk to him about it. Even Cavya understood that we both need our so called quality 'lovers time' and let us go. And from that second onwards Manik started using the cuss word every time he breathes. But it is shocking that my English teacher never taught me that 5 W's and 1 H can be used in this way to. Manik started a new method of teaching revolutionary you see!!

"Fuck my luck!!" he says now . Now he started using rhyming words too!! Too Great to be a poet!!

'Nandu ab mein kya song play karoon background music ke liye' the DJ asks me . I zip it's mouth and take a deep breath to get a grip on myself.

"Calm down Nandu now you need to handle that over-grown male bitch child who is rapping a song on F-words and 5 W's " I mutter to myself and slowly move towards Ostrich who is pacing around.

"Ostri- I mean Manik calm down" I say in a stern tone to him.

"Fuck!!Fuck !! Fuck!!" this is what I get from. He is making me angry right now. Can't he understand that he needs to calm down so that I can speak to him properly?

I decide to do what I do every time when Navya cusses.

I move much closer to him and stand on my toes to match his height and then pull his ear tightly to stop him. "Fuck" he says again. I use my other hand and pull his another ear. "Shut up and listen to me" I say to him my tone kind of intimidating. He closes his mouth not speaking any other word. I release his ears from my hold and move away from him. He just looks at me confused with what I did earlier.

"Sit down" I order him.

"What??!!" does he notice that he is using that word a lot?

"Sit down can't you understand that simple order"

He sits down on the chair. I sure know how to handle people. Good job Nandu!

"Now take few deep breaths and then drink some water" I order him again.

"Nandini Murthy stop ordering me what should I do and what I shouldn't " he says me and it's clear that he is very, very , very angry.

"I need to speak to you about something very important and for that you need to calm down " I say him my tone very soft now as if I am speaking to a kid.

He does what I said and then speaks "Now Nandini Murthy can you please explain me why did you lie to my brother and your sister about we both being in love from 6 months when we both clearly know that shopping mall fiasco was our first meeting?"

And then I explain to him the whole story including his chacha's decision on investing in our store on exchange of myself and Navya to get married to his sons and Cavya's decision to elope and how it will effect the reputation of both the families if they do so. He just listens to me quietly.

"Marry me" now I say him with a straight face. Wow Nandini what a romantic proposal every guy dreams about just this kind of proposal right !

He dumbfounded right now. Why wouldn't he? when I am speaking about a Marriage proposal as if it is as simple as ABC. Even I didn't imagine myself to propose a guy for marriage in this way.

Now he starts laughing. Did he lose his mind completely now after listening to my proposal? Wait don't turn insane right away I still didn't book a room for you in the Asylum!!

"Tch Tch Tch Nandini I didn't know that you were so desperate in getting hooked to me. Don't say me it was love at first sight for you. Like I know that I am very handsome but that doesn't mean that you should make these many stories to marry me you know. Despite I am actually not that interested in you I think our chemistry might not be that perfect" he says to me. Arrogant bitchass Pig . Who does he think he is !!!

"Manik Malhotra don't get your hopes so high. If I need to choose between you and a dog I will happily choose a dog. And even I am not interested in getting involved in any kind of chemistry or physics with you. Who do you think you are ?Parth Samthaan or something that every girl just follows you?? Huh!!"

"Then tell me Nandini why are you so interested in getting married to me when we actually have many other ways to avoid this happening." he asks me humour all gone now.

"Can you please do me a favour of telling me what are the other ways to avoid this Einstein?"

"Well since Cabir and Navya are not ready to tell about their love story to elders let us find a fake girl friend and fake boy friend for us respectively to tell our elders that we aren't interested in marrying them. Then obviously they will just ask Cabir and Navya to get married." he replies back and his face as proud as if he won 5 crores in KBC.

"Einsteinji then you also tell me that from where will we get a fake boy friend and girl friend for each other within a week before the announcement of our Engagement to media. And even if we find can you assure me that the guy doesn't turn out to be a donkey or the girl doesn't turn out to be a gold digger? Imagine what will you do if the girl starts black mailing you to marry her or else she will reveal your fake girl friend plan to your dear dad aka my best friend Raj uncle?" I ask him what does he think that our light bulbs are fused and only his bulb is working properly?! Perverted bitch!

On getting no response from him I continue " Manik what ever decision we are going to take right now should be taken very carefully. Our family's reputation, the future of our store and your company totally depends on this Marriage. Can you even imagine what kind of loss will occur to your company if the investment thing doesn't work out properly? Your chacha took a loan of huge amount to invest in our store if the loan isn't paid in correct time or if the investment is not done properly both of our families will be on road not only our families but also the families of thousands of employees who work for us" .

"I understand Nandini but this also is very sudden to me I need some time to think and prepare myself mentally for this" he reasons.

"And who asked you for an answer right away I can give you time. Take a day and think about it properly ok."

"Don't you think one day is too less? I need some more time yaar!" he started cribbing like a student who needs time to complete his assignments .

"Oh dear Manik who said you that one day is such a less time. One day means 24 hours , 24 hours means 1440 minutes and 1440 minutes are equal to 86400 seconds . So use the time properly Manik" I say to him and get ready to leave but then something strikes me .

"And Manik if I don't get an answer within 24 hours I may do anything you know. I heard that your dance school is on sale but you are not ready to sell it what happens if the owner finds a perfect buyer for it or what happens if Police raid Dhruv's cafe telling that they found illegal sale of drugs or else what happens if Alya is chased by few teenage boys I actually heard that Alya is quite pretty" I warn him. I will never do such kinds of things but he doesn't know about me so I can to warn him because according to Cabir's talk Manik can do anything for his best friends.

I get up to leave now but before that my hand is pulled and I am so close to Manik that I can actually stare at his eyes and say how angry he is right now. "Nandini Murthy this is something between ourselves and don't you dare to pull my friends into this! You gave me time of one day so wait for my response. If something happens to my friends or the dance school I will chase you until your death." his hold was so tight on my wrist that I need to make sure that it is not fractured. And he looks like a monster right with his nostrils flaring and his gaze dangerous than the inferno. But he can't scare me OKAY. Honestly speaking I am very very scared.

"Even I can say the same Malhotra. If you spell out one word to Cabir about our talk or else if you don't give me a proper response after one day I will chase you until your death." I say my tone equally dangerous as his. With my experience with all kind of people till now I became a professional in masking my emotions. I free out my hand out of his hold and leave the place. I don't know why we both can't have a proper civil conversation without any warnings or taunts.

DJ in me begs me to free it's mouth from the zip and I do so. Then it asks

'Nandu when did you calculate the no. of minutes and seconds in a day ?? You looked so cool saying that'

"I did it when ostrich was pacing around singing the F-song" I answer it.

'And you know what I can actually give your Phone no. to the readers if they want to contact a lady rowdy. You looked badass when you were warning that ostrich'

My sarcasm never leaves me. I just laugh at DJ's statement and move on.

Writer's POV:

Nandini reaches her office after a heated argument with Manik. She decided to work and complete all her pending files so that she can get distracted from her problems. She was so immersed into her work that she never noticed it was evening 5.30 until Abhimanyu came into her cabin and called her name.

"You look stressed is everything OK?? " Abhi asks her in a tone laced with concern.

She just nods her head in a NO and then speaks "Everything is not Ok. And I need a break right now. Can we go to the beach? I am very stressed right now"

" OK as you say let us go to the beach and have some gala time" Abhi said understanding that she needs him as a friend right now.

They both get into the car with Abhi at the driver seat as Nandini never in her life took the driver seat . She has a kind of fear towards driving which makes her freak out whenever she sits at the seat.

They both reach the beach and park the car at the slot provided. Abhi goes to buy an ice-cream for himself and Nandu when she excitedly moves towards the waves removing her foot wear.

The cool breeze slowly touching her face and the waves kissing her feet made Nandini forget all her problems. The salty and exotic smell of waves took her to another dimension. The sun slowly setting and hiding in the waves as if it needs to rest after a tiring day made her think of home where she can rest her soul.

She looks around to find couples admiring the sunset, children playing in the water, Vendors trying to sell their things to earn a living. Her gaze stops at a gang of teenage boys whose age might be around 19- 20 years looking at them Nandini thought 'Would he also be as tall and grown up like those boys'. But, the next scene makes her angry.

Manik's POV:

I reach to Dhruv's Café after the heated argument with chipmunk. She is not so innocent as she looks and she is very scary. What ever she said was right and taking risk right now is the last thing I want. I also don't want Cabir bhai to be hurt with the feelings of losing love of his life. I know how much it pains when we lose that 'special person' in our life. Bringing myself out of this thoughts I decide to work. Yes, I sometimes work as the waiter in the Café whenever I am stressed. Taking orders from random customers and flirting with girls who come there makes me forget all my problems. Dhruv started this Café after he completed his studies with the scholarship he received due to his good grades. It is actually tough for him to take care of his family which consists of only his younger sister and grand mother after he lost his parents. So, this Café is very important to him which means it is important to me also. I might end up doing something very bad if chipmunk hurts him or Alya or My Dance school.

"Manik you have an order at table no. 3 " Dhruv's granny tells me. I admire the fact that Daadi works at the counter even at her age . She is a total sweetheart.

I go to the table to take the order. As, I start noting it down my cell phone vibrates I excuse myself to read the message .

Shit.

I run out of the Café ignoring all the shouts I got from Daadi and Dhruv towards my bike.

It was an SOS message from Alya.

Which means she is in some danger.

Which means Nandini actually did what she warned me of doing.

You are so dead in my hands Nandini!!

I reach the beach on my bike and fortunately the beach was only few minutes away from the Café. And my blood boils seeing the sight in front of my eyes.

Nandini was standing beside Alya and was asking her something and infront of them were a gang of teenage boys around the age of 19-20 years with there heads hung low and their postures stating that they were scared.

"Are you okay Miss" I listened to Nandini asking Alya with her fake concern. I never knew that she would stoop so low to get things done in her way.

I rush towards them and pull Nandini towards me " Stop with your fake concern Nandini Murthy!" I shout at her and slap her on her cheek. I know that I shouldn't raise my hand on a girl but I was so blinded with fury that I couldn't stop my actions. Alya was also very shocked and tried to stop me by saying something but I was deaf to her words.

I freaking slapped her. But her actions deserved it.

"Didn't I say you that don't involve my friends in our things huh?? Didn't I say you that I will chase you until your death if you hurt them?? I said that I need sometime couldn't you wait ?How could you stoop so low Nandini ? How could you think of hurting a girl when you your self are a girl? What did you think if you play the act of hurting Alya and then saving her showing your fake concern I will be impressed and listen to you and dance on your tunes ? Then it's a big fucking No Nandini. After this I even doubt that you are a human or a pathetic money-minded robot. Just stay away from me Nandini Murthy or else you might face your death soon" I spat all the words in my heart and left her turning towards Alya.

I pulled Alya along with me to leave. But, before leaving I turned back to look at Nandini who was standing there all shocked and dejected and her eyes glossy?

I ignore whatever I feel looking at her like this all sad and walked forward with Alya.

I climbed my bike with Alya on the back seat. Alya was trying to say something to me which I ignored completely and drove towards the Café.

"Manik listen to me once! " Alya shouts at me after reaching the Café . I control my self and asked her to say.

"I don't know what happened between you and the girl from the beach but it wasn't her who sent those people and she indeed saved me from them" I laugh humourlessly on Alya's assumptions. Alya is so naïve.

"No, Alya she didn't save you from those boys she was the one who actually sent those people" I say her. She just rolls her eyes at me and speaks

"Manik I am sure she didn't send those people." "And how are you so sure Alya ?" I asked her how can she believe Nandini so easily!!

"Because they were following me or rather stalking me from 3 weeks. I was not sure myself at first but two days back I again saw them near the same mall I went to and that day I thought I should be careful. So, I even saved an SOS message in my phone yesterday to send you or Dhruv . And how do you think it is possible for me to send you an SOS so fast if those guys were behind me? I went to beach today Manik since I was not feeling myself and I found them there also so I immediately sent you the text. They were teasing me and that was when Nandini came to my rescue. There was some other guy with her and both of them threatened those guys that they were Police Officers who were on off-duty. They warned those guys to stay away from me or else they might be arrested under the Eve teasing case. The fellows didn't have that much guts so they even apologised me and said that they would never stalk me. You saw the whole picture in the wrong frame Manik you need to apologise Nandini or else I will punch you" she warned me and left me alone.

Damn why can't I do a single thing in a right way I should apologise chipmunk properly. I am so guilty for slapping her and saying her those mean words.
