JADE MET ME right in front of my house and asked that we go for a walk. After a while, there was still silence between us.

None of us had said anything and weirdly enough, it wasn't awkward at all. Finally, he decided to break the silence.

"So I know I freaked you out."

"Kind of," I looked at him sideways and smiled. My palms were getting sweaty all of a sudden.

He stooped and turned to me,
"I like you Grace. I really like you. I d-don't know if you know this but I've a-always liked you." he said in a rush. Maybe I wasn't the only one nervous after all.

"I think I've always known that."

"If you d-don't like me too I get it Grace." His face fell and he looked so cute then.

"Shut up Mensa. I like you too. I've always liked you," I laughed and hit him on the arm.

"Ouch! Then this arm is precious to a special someone you know," he laughed and joked.

"Which special someone?" I smirked at him.

"You," he said and slammed his mouth gently on mine.

I was shocked at first but then I eased into it and we must have kissed for like 2 minutes because we had to stop and gasp for air.

That was my first kiss. Most people didn't believe that I had never dated. But I never had and I had just had my first kiss.

Jade looked at me and we both burst into laughter. He hugged me and I put my head on his shoulders. I liked his smell so much. Yep, I think I was in love with him too.

We pulled out of the embrace and just walked around holding hands.

A few of our school mates saw us and I could get that Jade was nervous about them seeing us but I didn't care. I held his hand proudly to show to the world he and I were together and we were probably going to be together for a long time.

After an hour of holding hands and just talking, Jade accompanied me to my house. We stood in front of the door with neither of us wanting to let go.

"Okay. On a count of three then we both let go," he said and counted to three but none of us did.

"You didn't let go!" I laughed.

"Neither did you!"

"Well I will if you will too." I said.

"But I don't want to," he whined like a baby.

"Me neither." I whined like him.

We were two weird people who brought out the weirdness in each other and I would have to talk to my brothers to never bother Jade again or else they would deal with me.
It was something I should have done a long time ago.

Calvin opened the door with a frustrating look and said to us,
"Can you guys keep it down out here. Jason and I are playing a video game and you are distracting us."

He turned to Jade and continued,
"Jason said you owe him a punch to the face."

He slammed the door but not before Jade stopped it with his leg and shouted at them,

"I love you guys too!"

"They are going to kill you," I laughed and hugged him.

"Anything for you Grace, anything." he returned the hug and we stayed like that for a while.

"See you later Jade," I pulled out of his embrace and entered the house.

Then I walked out and back to him and said,
"I think love you too."

I returned to the house with his smiling face locked unto my brain.
