33. Boring Assumptions

A/N : To avoid confusion, the first part will be of Zameer's POV summarizing the last chapter.

~*~

~ The words you speak become the house you live in.

Zameer

After a few minutes of chasing the retreating figure, we ran to a dead end. It was then we heard a girly screech and another voice, who obviously had to be Zehra, "Don't shout dumbo!"

Finally! I thought. We tiptoed and saw the girls, but only the three of them.

One of them screamed as she saw us, the other took out her shoe ready to hit, and Zehra positioned herself ready for a fight. We just stared at them with a shocked expression.

I saw Aahil taking out his phone, probably calling Ammar, saying, "Hey, three psychos are right in front of us. Please come fast with the vehicle. Bye."

It was then Zehra ran towards me saying, "Zameer! It's you!" I froze as she hugged me tightly. Uh... what am I supposed to do? Idiot Zameer, hug her back! I nervously looked around, and slowly patted her head.

Aahil began walking to one of them, with a cheeky grin, while she frowned, stucking out her tongue at him.

The girl who was crying, spoke saying, "Amyrah isn't here!"

We all exchanged glances. "How come!? Where'd she go?" Shehzad asked.

I looked at Zehra with a frown. "You all should have stayed together!" And she panicked saying about how Rumaan had pushed her and she'd fallen injuring her knee. How dare he!

"...then she went near the lake to wash her wound. It was bleeding so much! Then running back to us she said us to hide. It was then we all got separated. Maybe due to her wound she couldn't walk much! Oh no! I should have walked slowly," Zehra said it all in a go.

"If something happens to her..." the crying girl said hiccupping. "Then... then..."

Shehzad looked at her pitingly and gave her some water, murmuring something softly calming her down, while she just nodded, still crying.

The other girl, uh... Hurara or something, looked at us saying, "What if she's stuck somewhere? What if she gets kidnapped? What if..."

She continued her what if's making the five of us even more panicked. Where can she be!?

It was then Ammar and his family came running towards us, with Shabnam aunty crying saying, "My Amyrah!" After a quick analyzation, we all ran towards the other side of the river hoping to find her.

After searching for a few minutes, Aahil pointed out saying either we should split up or instead of walking go in the car. When did he get brainy?

It was then I heard a sound. Turning back I saw something slightly moving. While the others moved inside the car, I walked back toward the other side of the lake quietly.

Sitting behind a tree was none other than her. Her face in a frown, she was sitting with her face pressed to her knees. I heard a sniff. Woah!

Oh Lord! Is she crying!? What am I supposed to do now!? I panicked, but noticed that she was angrily huffing and murmuring something. With a shrug I walked towards her, only to be heard with a, "Get lost. I hate you."

And that had me thinking. I hate you too?

Amyrah

Shehzad's home.

As it was just opposite to the garage, we decided to go there first. Though aunt stressed over it, Shehzad didn't mind at all saying that his mother actually wanted us to come over. Oh well, how else are we supposed to drop Bushra and Humaira to their house? They can't go all alone, so giving their parents the address, they told to pick them up from there.

As aunt was the only adult she told she'd wait till their parents come. So Ammar, Rayzah and I said we'll wait too. Zameer and Zehra didn't mind staying. And Aahil being Aahil, stayed as well.

That's how we ended up infront of Shehzad's house. Hopefully his mother dosen't faint seeing us all.

I can't wait to see how his house looks like! I grinned cheekily. I caught sight of Shehzad, who looked back at me as well. Our eyes locked. I glared at him and he shrank back.

The door opened and Shehzad went inside, while Zameer boringly followed him, like it was his house! Aahil slowly slipped into the house. While we just stood out of the gate. Shehzad opened the door wider and embarrassingly called us in. Aunt nodded unsurely and went inside with Ammar and Rayzah.

We just stood outside debating whether to go inside. My crazy friends pushed me inside making me bang my head in the wall right in front of Zameer, who stepped back. Great!

Hearing the sound Shehzad looked with pity while Zameer made a scrunched up face. "You're so prone to getting hit," he muttered.

I glared at him saying, "What's bothering you? It's my head. Now move. You're in my way." Giving him a look I just walked inside, but he didn't budge from the place.

He smirked saying, "What if I don't?" I sniggered at him, "Do you wish to be slapped front of everyone?"

"Will you do that?"

"Would love to," I replied back.

He pursued his lips and moved back with a goofy grin.

I went inside and looked all around the house with squinting eyes. Aunt glared at me whispering, "Don't do that." I shrugged and said, "Not bad house huh?"

I heard someone's laughter, only to see that all of them heard what I just said. Instead of showing my embarassment I just rolled my eyes at them and quickly sat. Shehzad murmured something and quickly left. Was he offended or what?

Like I care, anyway. I must be the one to be offended by him. He said he wanted to marry me, but he dosen't even care. Right now I made a decision, which is, I won't marry him until he begs me to. Hah! Serves him right.

As if anyone will want to marry you!
Well, I don't care, because I don't wanna marry "anyone" either.

Just as Shehzad left, a little girl within an age of... uh... I have no idea about little kids, appeared wearing a pink fluffy frock, her hair in pigtails and her chin tilted to one side, probably wondering who we are.

She tiptoed to us, looking curiously. As she looked at Zameer, a look of recognition passed her face. Then she loudly said, "Uncle Zam! Uff.. naughty uncle. You din come to see baby for a long time. Baby mish you so mush."

I giggled hearing her speak, but wait, who is this 'baby'? Is she calling herself baby or--? I glared at Zameer. Why am I even doing that!?

The little girl hopped onto his lap, her hands encircling his neck. Zameer just smiled embarrassingly looking at her.

I wanted to pinch her chubby cheeks and kiss them. Oh my gosh she's so cute and adorable! My eyes sparkled with excitement. I couldn't wait any longer, I felt like grabbing her from Zameer!

Then aunt whispered, "Calm down, child."

Eh? Can she read my mind?

The boys all sorrounded the little girl, while they took turns in carrying her. The whole while she just kept on speaking, "Baby did this, baby did that, baby likes this, baby hates that..." I practically drooled hearing her.

Then a petite woman entered the hall. She nodded at the boys politely and with a smile she greeted us, but one look at aunt and her face forrowed with confusion.

"Have we met before!? You look awfully familiar!"

And that's how the much awaited truth finally began unravelling.

Interesting or boring?

Finally after months of staying at home, I am back to my busy schedule with school and exams.
But as I have already written the upcoming few chapters, I might update every Friday, Saturday and Sundays.
