𝓐𝓹𝓹𝓻𝓮𝓬𝓲𝓪𝓽𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓶𝓸𝓶𝓮𝓷𝓽 𝓸𝓯 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓼𝓽 𝓴𝓲𝓼𝓼; 𝓘𝓽 𝓶𝓪𝔂 𝓫𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓵𝓪𝓼𝓽 𝓽𝓲𝓶𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓸𝔀𝓷 𝔂𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓽.

"I have no words," I whisper, the lanterns shining in my eyes. Standing at the edge of the cliff, I gaze at the sky filled with flying lights.

"So just enjoy the view," he mutters, softly.

"No doubt I will," I say. I bend down and undo the little buckle on my heels to step out of them. Taking my heels in one of my hands, I walk over to the cliff's edge, testing to see if it'll hold my weight. Satisfied, I slowly lower myself, but before my behind can touch the ground, I hear Albert's voice from behind me.

"Are you sure? It can spoil your dress, you know," he states.

"It's fine, I don't care," I reply, "I love sitting on the grass, it feels close to home." I finally sit down, a little away from the cliff, folding my legs in a criss-cross shape and settling myself.

"Okay, then," he says, shrugging before walking over and plopping down beside me.

"Did you plan this too, or was this just a coincidence?" I ask, looking at him.

"Not a coincidence, but I didn't exactly plan this either," he says, "There's a small town a short distance away from this cliff. The town has a bonfire on the last Saturday of every month. They dance and exchange stories and light these lanterns. It's quite fun actually, I've been there once or twice. But the view from this cliff is something else. It's just beautiful," he mutters, looking back at the sight as the lanterns lessen.

"This indeed is magical. I would love to visit the town someday," I say.

"I can bring you whenever you're free," he offers, looking at me. I turn my head to look at Albert, and the realization dawns upon me of how close we're sitting. My lips are mere inches from his, and I can feel his minty breath brushing my face.

"I would love that!" I breathe, my eyes snapping down to his luscious pink lips.

"I think this is the point where I kiss you," he mutters, his eyes switching between my lips and eyes.

"I would love that too." I grin, eliciting a chuckle from him before he smashes his lips against mine. I think I forgot how it felt when he kissed me for the first time because as soon as his lips touch mine, it's an entirely new feeling.

His soft lips move passionately, and I respond with equal force and passion. His arm snakes around my waist as my hand travels up his chest, drawing out a soft grunt from him. My hand bunches up his coat in my small fist as I hold onto him. Fireworks dance on my skin wherever he touches, and there's a warm feeling blossoming in my chest as my stomach flips at the feeling of him so close to me.

Unknowingly, I fall backwards, my back hitting the ground. I groan at the back of my throat, and his lips leave mine as I open my eyes. My chest heaves up and down as I pant. He seemed completely unbothered. Unlike me, who is completely out of oxygen.

He rolls off from me and lies down beside me as we gaze up at the sky, where the lanterns have finally disappeared. The sky is clear, but there are still numerous stars twinkling down at us. I catch my breath as Albert looks at me.

"That-" ... was amazing, was what I wanted to say before Albert cut me off.

"Please don't, I-" he starts but I interrupt. I notice the tinge of sadness in his voice.

"Was amazing," I finish, feeling the familiar pull of guilt in my heart.

"Oh, I thought-" he says, but stops mid-sentence.

"Yeah, I'm sorry for that," I wince, remembering the first time we kissed, "the problem..." I trail off after that, not wanting to start worrying about it again.

"Yeah, I get it," he says as we both stare at each other. I can see the tint of emotion in his eyes, and it makes me smile a little. They're lit up with happiness as he looks back at me.

And that's how most of our night went, stargazing, talking, laughing at meaningless jokes and just spending time with each other, without a worry in the world.

Okay, so a chapter but in my defence, the previous one was quite long... well at least longer than this one 👀. Anyway, I hope you liked it!
