Gabe's POV

"You've gotta be-" my sentence trailed off and rested my forehead onto my palm aka facepalmed.

It didn't take long to find the spot Cole was talking about. Along with one of the tools in my belt I had gotten into the building quite easily as well. The problem is when we entered, things were not right.

Apparently by 'hanging around' Cole actually meant that Dalton was strung up onto the ceiling with David's webs. Speaking of David, he was stuck to the wall, near the ceiling. Cole was trying to help Dalton down. Jumping up and down like a lunatic with his claws out.

Will on the other hand, he could maybe fly up and get rid of the webbing right? Nope. It seems that Cole had hit him with his claws or something because he was in a corner surrounded by blood. Passed out might I add.

"How did you even get up there?" Angela said running to see if she could reach David.

"Will! Frick!" Dana yelled and ran to see if Will was okay.

"What even happened?" I asked walking up to Cole.

"Funny story, you're gonna laugh-" I raised an eyebrow. "Actually, no you won't, but it's still pretty funny, heh."

"I doubt that Pendery, now what's going on?" I asked

"Well you see one minute everything was fine and dandy and then when I was about to strike a wall with my claws Dalton ran in front him me which was really surprising. I stopped myself from hitting him by swinging my hand backwards but Will was there and he started screaming and panicking. Then Dalton ran up to him to see if he could do anything but then he ran into Will and knocked him back into a wall and he passed out. Then David realized what was happening and came down from his wall to see if he could do anything. He's fine by the way it wasn't a deep cut, just a nick basically. We decided to leave him be and deal with him later so then we wanted to see if Dalton could run up the walls and onto the ceiling so he did but he started to fall upside down then David saved him but in the process he webbed himself up where he had been resting which was on the wall. Then I called you." Cole explained the story.

"Left alone for forty minutes, forty minutes!" I mumbled to myself.

"Dana, turn into a bird with a sharp beak and help David down please." I said to Dana who was covered in blood, Will's probably, hopefully. He turned into a hawk and flew towards David.

"Cole, Angela. Do you mind standing under Dalton and catching him?" I ask and they both nodded.

"What're you gonna do?" Dalton asked but I just pulled one of those sharp baterangs from my belt and threw it at the webbing holding him up.

He fell, screaming, but the two underneath caught him. David was soon let out of his web prison as well.

"David, use your webbing as a bandaging for now." I told him and motioned towards Will.

He nodded and sprayed the white stuff over Will's wounds. He was starting to wake up now which was good.

"Hey, what'd I miss?" Will yawned.

"Well, Gabe's a leader now." Angela said.

What? No! I'm not leading anything, anytime soon.

"I'm not a leader." I mumbled

"Please Gabe, you're the oldest and Batman took in a lot of protégés!" Dana begged

"Yay for Gabe being leader, nay for someone else being leader!" Cole said

Everyone but me said Yay.

"But I didn't even want this stupid 'ability' in the first place." I grumble.

"So? Neither did any of us. But unlike you, we're dealing with it." Cole smiled

Cheeky little bast-

"I vote Cole for second-in-command!" Will yells.

"I second that!" Dalton agrees

So basically, I'm leader and Cole is second-in-command.

"So what're the rest of you?" I ask crossing my arms.

"I'll be the girl!" Angela yells, smiling widely.

"We don't need roles. We just need people who're gonna make our decisions." Dana shrugged

Fine by me. Wait, no I'm still not ok with being leader.

"We don't even know how to control our powers. Much less anyone who could give us any missions!" I argue. Sometimes these guys are just plain stupid.

"My uncle works at the police department. We could ask him." Angela says

"But he doesn't know about our powers." I answer, it's not gonna be that easy.

"Oh, right. Uh-yeah he does. Well he knows about mine at least."

"WHAT!?" We all screamed

"Yeah, he and his entire small group of friends is fine with it. In fact, he's been wanting to get me to go on a mission but I wasn't exactly ready." She said. "Never thought I would be but I guess I am now."

"And you never told us this why?" Cole asked, I wanted to ask the same question

"You don't ask, I don't tell." was all she said before whipping out her phone and dialling in a number "Hey Uncle Toddy, you can tell Jeffrey he can finally make those superhero costumes. I'm coming over."

Ok, I did not agree to this in the least. Dana was still surprised, probably because her uncle is his godfather and he wasn't aware of this. Dalton and Cole were looking at each other probably having some sort of silent conversation. David seemed confused as heck. Will, he had a blank expression.

"Well come one then. I'll ride with Cole this time, Will can ride with you. I just want to keep these guys out of trouble. Plus, Dana and I know the way there by heart." Angela says and we walk out of the building in the middle of the woods.

I really didn't feel like arguing anymore so I followed her. The others did too. Soon we were out of the woods and Dana and Will both followed me to my car.

"Are you mad?" Will asked

"No questions please William. I'm annoyed enough as it is." I sigh. "Let's just get this over with."
