Welcome home

(A/n) Hey. Neko Chan here! Im gonna go ahead and start the next chapter and procrastinate making a schedule. And my homework.
. .

" Greetings, Grayson. It is very nice to meet you." She gently took my hand in hers and shook it as if i would break any second. Only until she let my hand go had i realized i was shaking.

I quickly composed my self and held my head up to her again. " I believe I heard the word PIE. If you would be so kind as to elaborate on that."

At that she giggled and gestured to the door. "If you would like i will get you a piece. I would like to talk to you about somethings." I nodded and stood once more, having more control of my limbs this time.

"Good, because I would like to bother you with a few questions as well." She giggle lightly, I began to like the sound of it.

" This way then, please, my child." We stepped out of the room and into a yellow hall. I was questioning Toriels fashion sense but pushed my thoughts aside. I followed her into what seemed to be a living room with a large couch and coffee table. On the other side of the room was a large stair case.

"Please do not go down there, my child." she said in a way a mother would tell a child to stay out of the cookie jar. But i was brought up to respect my superiors, and i don't want to make her upset so I obediently followed her through another door.

This room had a fireplace with a large chair in front of it and a dining table made for six people. I wondered why a single... Person would need these many chairs but then again i was just in a childs room. Maybe she has kids.

"Please have a seat." Toriel pulled out a chair for me and I scrambled into it. She smiled as she saw me struggle slightly but made it up. Walked into what I assume was the kitchen and came back with a piece of pie, slight steam coming from the top of it.

I had never seen something so beautiful in my whole life."Thank you Ms. Toriel!" She nodded in response.

Toriel placed it in front of me and sat down next to me."Now Grayson, can you tell me, how old are you?"

"Of course. I am ten, almost eleven though. My birthday is in October." I answered and cut a bite of pie with a fork that was on the table. I could smell the butterscotch and hummed as i put it into my mouth, savoring the flavor.

Toriel nodded and smiled at the sight of me enjoying her pie. "Alright, now how did you end up in such a state at the entrance to the RUINS?" I put the fork down as I swallowed the bite and thought.

"Well I guess I fell down and hurt my arm, and when I went looking for help I tripped on a vine." I picked up the fork and took another bite from the pie and waited for her next question.
She looked at me as though she was hesitating asking her next question. I think I knew what it was anyway. I saved us both the pain of that question by asking one of my own. "So why do you call this place the RUINS?"

"Well they are mostly abandoned and a falling apart. You see we are in the Underground."

" So the old legends are true?" I asked.

"Yes, the legend of the human and monster war and the monsters under the mountain. They are indeed true. But the monsters or not evil. They all... Well mostly all are very kind. Though while you are here in the underground some may try and attack you." She explained.

"Why would they attack me if they are nice?" I asked. She was about to answer but was interrupted by two faint knocks.

"I will explain more in a while. Please stay here and enjoy your snack until I return." She pat my head before standing to answer whoever had knocked.

I sat in complete silence as I had gone over what i had just learned. This is all very.... strange. I continued to eat my pie and melted into the taste. It was just heavenly.

I heard faint laughter come from the direction of the living room. Someone must have said something funny to make Toriel laugh so hard. I wonder who she was talking to as i finished my pie. It was so good i wanted another slice. But I'd wait until Toriel returned. Until then what can I do. I turned to a book shelf and saw a book lightly hanging out. I tip toed over to it and read the cover. The beauty and the beast. It was a little big but i bet i could start it. I pulled it over to the table and scurried back into the chair.

I opened the book and began to read.

Time skip.

Toriel came back into the room as I was trying to sound out a big word. Her eyes lit up as she walked over to me. "Would you like me to teach you big words like that?" she asked. My head went up at the question.

"Very much so. I enjoy reading very much. Would you please~?" I asked jumping up and down slightly in my seat. Toriel nodded but looked at the bags under my eyes.

"How about we go to bed now and we can discuss teaching you tomorrow. We can set up a home school curriculum! This may surprise you but I have always wanted to be a teacher."

"Nope." I stated as if it was a fact I have know all my life. She laughed in response and picked me up gently. I squealed in surprise but didn't struggle. She carried me to the red childs room and tucked me in.

"Good night, my Child."
"Night Ms. Toriel."

"Welcome home. "
. .
Well that was fun. I think this is how all my updates are gonna work. Ill procrastinate my homework and stay up till midnight writing. Yay. Lucky me.
