The train arrived at Jutla and Jareth's destination, which was the village of Balsam. Apparently, several of the local residents had vanished into thin air without any clue left behind. A few wizards had investigated the situation, but they couldn't find any source of magic in the area of the disappearances.
"So...we aren't the first wizards to take on this job?" the blunette girl asked as they walked towards the meeting location, Super Express Restaurant.
One of the more influential town residents was planning to meet them there and discuss the situation in detail.
"No, but no one from Fairy Tail has attempted this job yet. We're the best in Fiore, so obviously that's their problem," the redhead boasted.
Jutla rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Just because you're an S-Class wizard you think that you're better than everybody else."
Jareth chuckled. "Not necessarily. I can guarantee you that if you work hard enough to earn the title of an S-Class wizard, you will be much better than I ever will. Dragon slayers are a dying breed, so that makes you very unique. You just need to work on your powers a lot more. Your brother had no excuse with his lack of challenging jobs, but I understand why you did what you did. You take after your mother, which isn't a bad thing. You just...forget to remember that you're more powerful than a solid script mage."
"My mother is powerful herself. And you're right. I do prefer my solid script magic that Mother taught me. I always see my dragon slaying powers as being over-powered. It makes me feel that I wouldn't give my opponents a fair fight," she explained.
"A fair fight? You really are just like your mother. But like your mother, you need a tall and powerful mage to protect you and be the supporting partner that you've always wanted!" he declared.
The bookworm thought about it for a moment. "You know what? You're right! I really do need a powerful partner. But not to protect me...maybe encourage me to use my dragon slayer powers more often!"
Jareth smirked as he chuckled. "And I think that we all can agree that the perfect person to be your partner is--"
"Maybe Bellinor or Eldon would be interested," she thought.
The redhead's dark green eyes widened. "Bellinor Dreyar or Eldon Strauss?? You really are too nice. Look, Bellinor is a straight up shit-head, and Eldon has a large ego about how..manly he is. You don't want them. I was suggesting me!"
A small blush coated her cheeks. "O-oh, right. Yeah, you'd work too."
Depressed over the situation, Jareth led his now permanent partner towards the restaurant, opening the door for her and leading her over towards the bar area. Sitting towards the end was a young woman, her hair long, wavy, and blonde. She wore red lipstick over her thick lips, and her makeup was done perfectly. This woman wore a short dress flaunting her curves, ass, tits, and most importantly, her perfectly flat stomach.
Jutla glanced down at her pudge that she had always had since birth, suddenly feeling self-conscious about being around this girl who was more than likely her age.
"Oh, are you two the wizards from Fairy Tail?" this woman asked, "My name is Darlene."
Jareth smiled in politeness. "Yes, nice to meet you. I'm Jareth, and this is my partner Jutla."
"Jutla? That's a really weird name. But anyways, I wanted to discuss this disappearing matter in more detail," the blonde explained.
Blushing out of embarrassment, Jutla sat down at the bar, as well as Jareth.
"Okay...so what exactly happened?" the blunette asked.
"Oh, honey. This is a talk for adults only," Darlene mocked out.
"She's older than I am, so she can ask the questions here," Jareth said in a tone that hinted coldness.
"Well, around nine disappeared, three of them being apart of the richest family in the village. They were my father, uncle, and older brother. The other six were mere businessmen that were out on a gathering with my relatives," she explained.
"Do you know if they have any known enemies or affiliations that could have done this?" Jutla asked.
The caked-face blonde flipped her hair. "Of course not! We are a loving family who treat everyone with respect!"
Jareth and Jutla both exchanged looks, silently agreeing that this family had obvious enemies.
"One last question. Where were they last seen?" the dragon slayer asked.
"Why, here of course! Where else would you have a gathering in this village, you idiotic fat-ass?!" Darlene yelled out.
Before Jutla or Jareth could respond, a cloud of black smoke engulfed the restaurant, causing most of the residents to scatter from the establishment. All that remained were Darlene, Jutla, and Jareth.
"Well now, what do we have here? The twin of Yajee Redfox? How delightful!" a dark voice whispered through the air.
"How do you know my brother?" the bookworm asked with a somewhat shaky voice.
The voice chuckled. "I know your entire family, you bitch. I know everyone in that shitty Fairy Tail guild. None of you are safe from me. Soon, you all will perish by my hands!"
"Who are you, you cowardly bastard! Show yourself!" Jareth bellowed out.
The voice merely laughed. "I can't believe this. Erza and Jellal actually fucked. They had silently promised themselves that they would never give into their feelings for each other for the sake of what dangers their child would go through. Look at you now, in danger. I could easily kill you here and now, but...I love playing with my prey."
"You're a sick man!" Jutla called out, bearing down on her dragon slayer fangs in anger.
"Oh, thank you! Why your mother allowed you to become so...full figured is beyond me. And to think you had the potential to possess your mother's pure beauty," he growled out.
Tears brimmed the young woman's eyes, but she said nothing.
The smoke suddenly disappeared, as if the voice had never been in the restaurant in the first place. Darlene grabbed onto Jareth, one hand around him and one hand gliding over his ass.
"Thank you for saving me!" she cried out.
"I didn't save y--get off of me!" he cried out, pushing her away.
Darlene smirked as she walked towards the redhead, pressing her breasts against his chest. "You know...you could ditch this fat bitch and have some real fun with me. I have so much experience that I could ride that dick of yours to victory."
Jareth bursted out laughing. "Please, I don't date sluts. And your tits and ass aren't big enough for my taste. Also, I don't like blondes. Have a good day, though!"
Wrapping an arm around Jutla, Jareth led her out of Super Express Restaurant.
"We need to take the next train to Magnolia. This seems like a job too big for two people alone," he informed her.
Jutla suddenly cut in front of him. "Whoa whoa, hold on. Why did you give up on an opportunity with a girl like that?"
"Because I already have my eyes on someone," he said in a low, sensual voice.
A bright blush covered the blunette's cheeks. "O-oh...well, let's get home to Magnolia!"
She raced ahead of him, leaving a depressed Jareth.
"Don't worry, buddy. Soon she will love us, and we will have her and her plump goodness," the redhead told himself, patting his crotch area in reassurance.
