Sebastian had walked her to her dorm. He had told her goodnight, all the while without laying a hand on her.
He walked back to his dorm, passing the common room on the way, and noticed Sereia had forgotten one of her books, the one that started it all. The one he could read.
SEA MAGIC: A HISTORY.
He picked it up. He flipped it open and flipped through the pages, skimming them every now and then until something finally jumped out at him.
He stopped and reread the title to make sure he had read it right the first time. He certainly had. He pressed his fingers to the words, not believing it. A jolt of electricity ran through his body.
"BLUE BLOODS: MASTERS OF HEALING"
could it be? Could it be he had found another cure for his sister? This one foolproof. This one a living and breathing solution. He felt entranced. He began to read.

It has long since been known that Blue Bloods are the master healers.
The first wizarding healers learned from them ages ago, studying them from a distance. Blue Bloods were famous for using their unique connection with water to heal themselves and each other.
The science of it is rather simple if you break it down to the bare minimum. The healers of the Blue Bloods would pull the life essence from water and used it to restore whatever was broken in their bodies.
Life essence is found of water for water is the key to all life. Life cannot exist without it. Most of the human body is made up of water, which is another way that Blue Bloods are able to use their connection with water to heal one another.
It is said that Blue Bloods could heal anything. Any sickness, any curse, any wound. The only problem for wizarding kind is that the Blue Bloods would never reveal just how they did it.
It had to be some sort of Arcane sea magic, no?
It was. It was that very connection to water that wizards just simply do not have. That is how Blue Bloods could cure anything and Wizards simply could not.
We fail short for we are not Blue Bloods. They will always surpass us in this.

Could this be?
If Sereia was a true blue blood did she too posses these abilities? Well, it would only be natural...
If she could do these things, if she could heal did that mean- could Sereia be the cure for Anne? He had promised, swore off dark magic but this wasn't dark magic... right?
I mean, well... sea magic was considered arcane and forbidden by most Wizards but he wouldn't be practicing it, would he? Sereia would be.
But would Anne even speak to him after everything with the Relic last year? He could only hope.
She hadn't been returning his letters which could mean she wanted nothing to do with him or that her illness had gotten worse. He hopped it was the first.
He hadn't received word from anyone else in the village that his sister had gotten worse so he tried not to let it bother him too much.
But still, his sister was ill and he was all the family she had left and vice versa. He would see to it that she was healed if it was the last thing he did.
Surely Sereia would understand, right? He wouldn't tell her of this right away. He closed the book in his hands and placed it back where he had found it.
Tomorrow he would speak to Sereia about working on her Sea Magic and getting her siren song back. Surely if he could help her get her siren song back then she would help him with his sister.
It was quite the plan, he only prayed that it might work.

"Good morning, Sereia."
"Ominis."
The siren greeted the blind boy as he sat next to her at the Slytherin table at breakfast.
"Sebastian- Sebastian told me about your aunt." He said slowly.
"I am terribly sorry. I can't imagine how hard that is on you."
He said and Sereia simply nodded as she continued to read one of the books from the restricted section that she and Sebastian had liberated for her.
"He also told me... about the lake." Sereia stopped reading at once.
"How much did he tell you?" "Sereia," Ominis said slowly, glassy eyes looking right past her,
"I know."
He said and Sereia became stricken. He placed a gentle hand on hers.
"Not to worry."
His voice was slow and soothing. She moved her hand away from his quickly, not liking touch from anyone really,
"I won't tell a soul." He added. "And I would like to help you find your song."
"He told you about that too?"
"Sebastian seems to confide in me, he always has." Ominis told her.
"Still reading are we?" Sereia looked up. Sebastian had come to join them.
"Learn anything knew?" "mhm." Sereia closed her book.
"Watch."
She held up her palm, fingers outstretched, and the water in her goblet raised into the air in a perfect sphere of water. She floated it over the air and into her mouth.
"Amazing."
Sebastian said in awe.
"What about your song?" He asked. "Anything about that?"
"Well..." She began slowly.
"Woodlyn took it but he doesn't have it anymore." "How do you know that?"
"Because he's dead."
She said simply.
"His father must have it now. Overton Lestrange has my Siren Song."

"Overton?"
Ominis spoke up.
"Lestrange? You won't be getting it back from him it's nearly impossible."
"How?"
Sereia turned to glare at him. She was hellbent on getting her voice back and a blind Slytherin wasn't about to stop her.
"Overton is famous for pillaging monsters and half blood or muggle borns for anything he deems too powerful for them... a siren song is just up his alley and if he has it... well... he keeps his collection locked up tight in a fortress somewhere in the south sea."
"How do you know all of this?" Sebastian asked.
"The Lestrange's are close friends of my family. My parents helped Overton retrieve some of his most valuable treasures from muggles and halfbloods."
Ominis admitted shamefully.
"Your family helped Overton?"
Sereia asked him slowly, carefully. Her eyes were calculating as she glared at him.
"So how can I trust you?"
"Ominis isn't like the rest of his family." Sebastian insisted almost instantly.
"And they despise me for it."
Ominis added, a scowl forming on his blind face. Sereia wondered about him. How much did she really know about him? How much did she really know about either of the Slytherin boys?
"This fortress in the south sea, where is it?"
"Well I don't know, obviously." Ominis retorted. "But I know someone who does and someone who can get us there."
"Us?"
"You'll need me if you're going to be dealing with Lestrange." Ominis told her. Sereia looked to Sebastian.
"Well obviously I'm coming along, darling, I helped you get into the restricted section, you owe me an adventure."
He said with a charming smile, that feeling came rushing back in an instant. Heat pure heat in her chest burning like a raging fire. What was that feeling? It was so strong and yet so distant, like her fingers were just licking the surface.
"You- we can't just leave in the middle of school."
Sereia insisted, she didn't know how school worked but it didn't just seem like the thing you could up and leave behind.
"We can leave on halloween, no one will notice, if we time things right we can be back by the yule ball."
"Are you sure?"
"No."
Sebastian said with a shrug.
"But It's our best bet." He told her. "And," He added. "Chances are if he's got your siren song then he's also most likely got your aunt as well."
"Marina..."
Sereia mumbled. She never really formed quite a connection with her but still, she wanted her back. It was a possessive logic like a toddler with a toy.
It's mine and you can't have it!
That kind of logic. God forbid you try to take it from her, she'd throw a fit. And the fit of a siren was not one anyone wanted to be on the receiving end of. She finally nodded.
"We will leave then." She said. "In the mean time I will practice my magic, I'm sure we will need it."
